Knew they had fallen out,but wasn’t sure why, friend of mine who is a high up tailor really rates early Westwood stuff from the 70s. Thanks for vid Stuart
Thanks for watching again Stuart! Yes, the early stuff was very well made. I went to the shop in August 1977 and later and I was always very impressed with the quality. That was because of Malcolm. His family was in the rag trade in the 50's and 60's in North London, so when he decided to design his own clothes, he already knew where the best tailors were located.
Hi Andy! I know! It looked interesting when we were there, but after doing this clip we went right over to Hobsens for fish and chips because we were hungry. I love that place. Had I known the history of the record shop I would have walked in and looked around. Next time!
Great upload Maggie, + joseph - interesting to hear about vivien and Malcolm's son. Ps - Hope you are safe and you house has not had any damage resulting from Hurricane Milton.
Thanks for watching this one! Just a short clip about Malcolm's son. And thanks for asking about Milton. It went right over us, so we had a noisy and terrifying night. But no major damage or flooding and we are safe, so I'm relieved. We live inland, so by the time a storm gets here it usually slows down. But the winds were still 90 miles-an-hour. I didn't sleep a wink! Thanks again for asking.
Don’t know about Corre but his dad was definately a cultural Agent Provacateur. No Malcolm no Pistols imho. Been watching your vids since your record fair visit a while back, keep em coming Maggie. All the best, Trev
I bought black seamed vintage Nylon stockings from there a few times 20 years ago when I got lucky 😉 cost £18. Posh bag and perfume sample included. Nowadays they'll cost you £60 at least. And that's the cheapest lingerie in the store. Of the highest quality though, Can't fault that. I don't get so lucky these days 😟. Loving 'all' of your channel's content Maggie. I was born in 71 and from London. Missed the punk scene by 10 years. But watching your channel's content, hearing of all your experiences, and knowing all these central London locations adds such authenticity to your videos. Highly enjoyable. Awesome work. You have a great warm personality when talking of your experiences. And because of your channel I now appreciate the original punk scene far more than i ever did. Thank You!! 😃
Thanks you so much for your nice compliments! It means a lot to me when I can add to someone's enjoyment of punk history, especially when they were too young to remember the 70's. I should have bought something from the shop in the 90's but I guess I was too cheap.:)
Hey, another cool video Maggie/Joe, i'll bet that brought some memories back for you maggie being back in soho. Always enjoy your content especially the sex pistols stories.
Thank you for watching another one! Yes, it did bring back memories. Just before we made this video, I had a couple of pints at The Ship - the pub where I faked being a journalist to meet The Skids singer in 1979. I also worked a couple of jobs in Soho in 1978 before I landed a job in Top Shop, where I stayed for 2 years. I love all the history in Soho. Everywhere you turn, there's something interesting.
Hiya! I have a vintage AP corset that was gifted to me decades ago. Well made, but more of a “fashion” corset (I had a lingerie line in the 80s & made corsets amongst other stuff) that will nip you in a bit but the bones bend & don’t bounce back when off, likely heavy plastic boning😕 not worth those prices sadly. I still wear it for fun so it has held up tho! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🤘🦋🏍
Thanks for watching this one Jet! I forgot I had done a short clip outside the shop so I thought I'd show it in case people don't know about Malcolm's son. As I said in the video, I never bought anything but it all looked beautiful. That's a good item to keep forever.

Malcomb called Sid "an agent provocateur working in the clubs" in the Cambridge Riots scene in The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle.
I didn't know that. Interesting. Maybe that's where his son got the name from. Thanks for watching.:)
👍FIRST THUMBS UP! HI MAGGIE!! 👋
Thanks again for watching! And liking.:)
Great video 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 🤗 Just a short clip on Malcolm's son.
