They are way one-dimentional , too iconic to be viable (since they are Nintendo's symbols) and way light-hearted for the tone of this franchise. Klonoa and Sonic are barely functional , because at least the companies tried to sell as their "edgy mascot". Anything else in your list is valid , although I should point out Link is a silent protagonist and that may pose a problem , but that problem is more about creativity implementation in the story than gameplay or tone , so it can either put or not regarding solely in the script and if the company allows that. Now , regarding the members of Project x Zone leaving , that is definitly a blow , but not something that goes absurd to the point of not releasing a new game. Cross Edge is not exactly good , but it was still a game not made by Soichi Morizumi and his dev team , so it is possible to bring another person , as long it respects the previous games.
I find it an empty boast when Avengers is called the biggest crossover when they are all Marvel. I get that characters are owned by different companies but it all leads back to Marvel. While video games are much more a licensing nightmare. Owned by different companies and consoles there is no common ground they can lead to like Marvel

I see that it’s amazing for viewers to see Steve Rogers from the past go ahead and meet up with both Tony Stark, Hawkeye, Hulk, Natasha, and Thor in the modern time, but yeah, in using your perspective, the movie does take place in one massive universe instead multiple varieties. Would’ve been better to have another universe like DC Universe involved and call it a crossover.

One of the most underrated crossover games ever. Been a fan of the series ever since I played part 1 many years ago. I then got part 2 off of Amazon years later after it was delisted from the eshop due to expired licenses. We may never get a third installment, but there’s always a bit of hope. If a third installment was gonna be released on the Switch, I would probably be the happiest dude on the planet. I would even pre purchase it. If it wasn’t for Project x Zone, I would’ve never known so many interesting games and characters. So I thank them for that.
Protip, part 1 is actually part 2, and part 2 is actually part 3. The real Part 1 was a little game known as Namco x Capcom, it was a jp-only ps2 release, and also starred Reiji and Xiaomu like the last game, which is why if you play that you see a lot of references like they were already familiar with the bad guys and so on.

I personally would really recommend it. The character interactions throughout it are tons of fun, and the plot is better than most other crossover games (for one thing, most of the villains have their own ongoing plots and agendas rather than being one-and-done bosses or all bunched together working for the original big bad) Some people aren't too fussed about the gameplay, but I loved it. I haven't played any other game quite like it.

It’s the current last entry in a long series which in a way has 3 worlds going on, Namco X Capcom being the start but it then goes into another crossover super robot wars specifically endless Frontier for 2 games returning with Endless Frontier and another SRW character in tow with Project X Zone then Project X Zone 2 happens

Between the two games, I think this game shows the "crossover" aspect better than the first. Haseo and Dante fighting an Aragami, Lucina and Chrom standing at the Chatte Noires, and basically the entirety of the City of Mercy part (the bit with Phoenix and Maya).
As much as I love the animation quality, I think Project x Zone 1 and Namco x Capcom's openings had a much better flow and were overall much better even if the animation quality wasn't as good as this.

I would love to see a full on fighting game of Project X Zone whether it'd be a spin-off of some sort or even a sequel to be made someday for the home consoles (Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One) which would be super epic. And of course a mixture of RPG elements should be added as well, and depending on what type of game mechanics you'd want on the fighting aspects of the game whether it'd be Tekken style or even like Marvel vs Capcom where you have three characters and an assist mechanics could potentially work as well.
@DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou I personally would go for the 2D/HD sprites style like you've mentioned Skullgirl or Dragonball FighterZ in-style art which deserves more love considering you have some anime characters in Project X Zone which would fit the narrative right there. I think we should take a break with 3D-style fighting games considering how many we already got and they're not always the answer. Look at Marvel vs Capcom Infinite for instance and how that all ended up..

And for the story mode should be in the style of a visual novel with some anime cutscenes similar to Persona 4 Arena! With the characters you play as vary on where the events unfolds throughout the story. Now that would be interesting to see. And of course, there's the local and online multiplayer factor which could also have great potential to be in one of the EVO Tournament lineup matches.

I would love to see a full on fighting game of Project X Zone whether it'd be a spin-off of some sort or even a sequel to be made someday for the home consoles (Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One) which would be super epic. And of course a mixture of RPG elements should be added as well, and depending on what type of game mechanics you'd want on the fighting aspects of the game whether it'd be Tekken style or even like Marvel vs Capcom where you have three characters and an assist mechanics could potentially work as well.
@DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou I personally would go for the 2D/HD sprites style like you've mentioned Skullgirl or Dragonball FighterZ in-style art which deserves more love considering you have some anime characters in Project X Zone which would fit the narrative right there. I think we should take a break with 3D-style fighting games considering how many we already got and they're not always the answer. Look at Marvel vs Capcom Infinite for instance and how that all ended up..
@DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou Then again, I would also love to see them implement some elements from MVC3 such as its Engine Graphic and gameplay elements like 2 or 3 playable characters and assists into Project X Zone whether the game would be a spin-off, sequel or possibly even a remake. And for the story mode should be in the style of a visual novel with some anime cutscenes similar to Persona 4 Arena! With the characters you play as vary on where the events unfolds throughout the story. Now that would be interesting to see. And of course, there's the local and online multiplayer factor which could also have great potential to be in one of the EVO Tournament lineup matches.

bruh this should be turned into a "Jump Force" kind of fighting game,Bandai knows how to make some nice looking fighting games and i believe they could easily pull off a amazing Project X Zone:Fighters or someshit,the concept of having these many amazing character from many different games in a single one will always be something suported by everyone out there
