@@Gripfang I am from Quincy IL, just on the Missouri boarder. Ozark area is a world of difference than other areas of Missouri including Kirksville. Now, I am in NO WAY defending the state (I curse their drivers daily-lol), but it is amazing how different just different areas of the state are.

Honestly, I've had some decent General Tso's Chicken before. One time this stall at the local mall made it up for me and it had freshly battered chicken and instead of red peppers, it was all chiles. Then it all got all nice and burnt because of the wok flareup. Maybe a little too crispy, but I liked it. It certainly wasn't the General Tso's I was used to that was swimming in sauce.
But oh man do I know what Mikey is talking about with that chow mein. This is why I want to experience more traditional Chinese dishes.

I was soooo desperate for Chinese take away 2 weeks ago I ALMOST stooped to that level, Thankfully just across the road was a TRUE take away lights were off but she was cookin.
sadly nothing good near me without at least 30 mins drive which is impossible given the situation lol.

i find 3 cup chicken has alot of the same flavor profiles as orange chicken, weird but I think true.

My friend in grad school suggested we go eat at panda express. We were going to pull an all nighter iterating on designs. I've never been that sick since. It wasn't food poisoning, it was my stomach being queasy the whole time. And I'm used to Chinatown food

I was in the car with my sister picking her up from work when I was telling her about the scary story you told that happened China and, my goodness we freaked out. When we got home, on the drive way, the radio started to fuzz and on gawd this never happens to the radio and I mean never. It kept fuzzing weirdly so me and my sister freaked out. We ran out of my car after parking it in the garage. Mind you this is around 10pm at night. I was also joking about how not scary the story really was but when that I happened I knew immediately I shouldn’t have said anything because now I’m scared. Lesson of the day, keeping my mouth shut.

How is it that these stories creep me out so much more than the 3 channels I binge every day? Something about Mike telling it so casually instead of "professionally read" makes it more believable maybe? It feels like getting together with friends for dinner in the evening and going "hey, guess what happened to me last week." after which you still need to drive home in the dark :)

I've been on a mission to find the best and have been reading up on their history, plus just how Americanized Chinese food developed, in general. I'm going to say something even more controversial, Mike: western broccoli is good in Chinese food. Yes, I said it. The reason is because it absorbs sauce very well. The sauce has to be good of course. Even broccoli with soy sauce, used to eat it all the time as a kid

In reciprocation, my uncle invited his hosts back to dinner the next day, and asked the ship's cook to prepare what we in Bangladesh call Chinese food. The Chinese guests, polite as ever, said this while leaving after dinner the next day: "Bangladeshi food very good-just a bit spicy!"

I think i know the feeling when you've walked alone and somehow heard footsteps that matching yours. I was 11/12 back there wander alone at 6 pm which is dark and passing throught a graveyard. First i thought it was Echo from my footstep "great a sound effect when i walk" but since it more more louder make me upset. Tries to look back and no one there. So then since i scared s*itles i'm move my feet as fast as i can until nearby mosque (which some people are praying on there) and go back afterward.
It might be my echo from my stomping, or it could be something that was following me after i pass the graveyard... Who knows.
In the first scary story, if the floor was thick enough that the sound was not crossing through it, then it is quite possible that whatever was copying the footsteps was in the same hallway as you. It was either right behind you or it was above you walking upside down on the ceiling.

I like having their vegetables as a side instead of the rice or noodles. That's helpful when you're trying to keep it low carb.

I'm a security agent, we have to investigate the weird noises, I earlier on realized I was 'that guy' in a horror film.
As a security officer i feel you many times id hear an weird noise and i have 2 thoughts either "f**k this im walking the other way" or "guess im gonna die doing my job" worst was when i hear whispers on a construction floor of the building i was there alone no one else around.

I heard of so many zombie stories as a kid growing up in Taiwan. In Fengyuan, there were zombies that were seen carrying a casket up the mountain. My uncle saw it was his own eyes. The entire family still lives in the same house as of today!
