This is by far my favorite Predator figure that NECA has done. The amount of creativity and effort put into the both the sculpt and the lore is so sick. And yes, a movie based on this lore or the Pirate Predator from 1718 should be the next entry for sure!

This is definitely one of the coolest Predators ever. It reminds me a lot of the old McFarlane Toys Curse of the Spawn figure from 1998. The bone armor and weapons are very reminiscent of that figure. Great review!
I waited on this figure for two years after the announcement and it by far exceeds my expectations as a long time NECA Predator collector. Don’t wait; when this figure goes out of production you don’t want to be left with eBay!

Fun fact Peter Cullen of Optimus Prime fame is the sound and voice of the original Predator. There's a UA-cam video about how he came up with the voice and sounds. He's awesome. And that original predator concept was also used in the movie Predators by Robert Rodriguez. It's the one who chases Topher Grace and is is killed by Lawrence Fishburne. They used the original design.

Kevin Peter Hall was such a wonderful actor. I loved seeing him in Night Court playing a gentle giant mental patient in a group of people that are in the courtroom one night. R.I.P
Looks like the two bone arm covers make up the head and jaw of the original trophy. Steve Wang sculpted the dragon skull which never made it to the film, the design was later made into a halloween mask.
First Neca predators I got were cracked tusk, scavage and jungle hunter. My favorite was scavage he was a cross between both super Predator, and yautja. He was a loner, but he worked with cracked tusk.
NECA mostly gives bang for buck in sculpt, paint, and accessories. Articulation gives enough posability. They aren’t toys but posable collectibles. This is a great piece.
Bad ass figure for sure. I kind of wish someone would make merch of the original design too. Also.... can we talk about how great Laura's nails look? LOL All I could think of the entire video was Lady Deathstrike from X-Men 2.

BBTS is my jam. I order from them weekly. That Predator looks so sick but I heard he's very fragile. My next Predator is the Mezco One 12 version. You can get that on BBTS too. Great vid Laura!
I came for the badass primal Predator, seeing the Berserk shirt is a serious bonus. I have always liked the tribal nature of the Predator race, especially the trophy hunting. Now to get one with bone wrist blades and a spear? Hell yes. Sadly though it has to be said, this is also the secret lore of how murlocs evolved into jinyu. Wouldn't it be nice if BBTS had a Canadian branch? Great site, the pile of loot is awesome and the customer service is incredible... but the shipping and exchange rate is fucking brutal.

This. The mutiny interrupted by a predator is a winning concept. The mutual respect and the link to predator 2 will be remarkable to see on film.

That Alpha Predator is so highly detailed! But I'm intrigued by the less detailed Thermal Vision Dutch you mentioned. That one looks really cool 😎.
