Never got into power rangers or GI Joe when it feels like everyone I knew did. Also have a few beanie babies. I didn't collect them in general, but a family member worked at a store, and had access to the rarer ones when they were super popular. So she would hold one from time to time and say "Hey, you want this? It's rare." and a few times, if I liked the design, I went for it.

Oh man, Beanie Babies! Now that brings back some memories. My mom was a big collector back in the 90's, and very early 2000's. I remember going on hunts with her looking for new ones haha. It was always cool because of course, that'd mean I'd usually get a toy or book too. She had quite a large collection, the Bears, the zodiac animals, the newer ones with like shiny materials. That was fun.. Guess I know who I got my collecting tendencies from. ;) As far as unpopular opinions and collections... For me it's Marvel. I just couldn't really care less about the franchise or MCU. I've not seen most of the films, and only bits and pieces of the Avengers. I saw the first few Iron Man films, and the Hulk, but it was just too many movies too fast, I felt left behind, and I've never bothered to catch up. As a kid in the 90's, sure I watched Spider-Man and X-Men and had Marvel toys, but as an adult, Idk, it's just never been my thing. I don't hate Marvel, in fact, I like a few of the characters quite a bit. But it's it gotten so overblown with the Disney takeover the last decade, it seems, with all the films, and it just bugs me that they dominate the movie industry.
Apart from collecting NECA figures I love collecting the comic strips from newspapers & on my 27th birthday last year my sister collected a lot of them for me.
The toys I collect are mainly based on 80's/90's horror and sci-fi; Predator, Alien, Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween etc. I love the vintage kenner ones, but most of the ones I have are from Neca, but then again I have all kinds of'em. I also collect Star Wars toys though, að well as funko pops, but my girlfriend is much more into those than I am, but I do participate! Besides toy collecting I'm also an avid music fan and play guitar, bass, ukulele and piano, so I collect instruments, mainly guitars though, as well as vinyl records and of course, toys and figurines based on musicians!
I recently narrowed my toy collecting down to Masters of the Universe. I'm keeping my Transformers and select Lego things, but I don't actively collect either anymore. I also collect Royal Albert Fine China, Fine writing instruments (Fountain Pens, Various Parker models), I also have an affinity for pencils, pencil crayons and Crayola crayons.
Oh no, Laura, how could you!!? 😜 JK, love the chan chan! I love most of the big franchises such as Star Wars and Star Trek, I am an avid sci-fi model kit builder and I love the classics as well as the franchise spaceships!
I collect Godzilla, Aliens, Predator, and am a huge horror and sci-fi freak. I have a soft spot for Neca Gremlins and would love some Critters, but have not broken down (yet) :) I think that anything that brings happiness to someone, no matter how strange, is money well spent! Happy collecting! :)
I definitely remember use to having THE original Pound Puppies stuffed plush toys and the plush blanket when i was little way back between the mid 80's - 90's. 😁😃😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the content. The same thing happened with Disney Vinylmations. Disney saw people were going crazy over them so they just kept making more and more. I collected beanie babies when I was a kid. I had less then 10 I think. The only one I can remember at the moment is a green one with a 3 leaf clover which was my favorite.
Started off with a few Marvel Legends and then went down the NECA road, now I've added transformers. I'm all over the place, collecting a lot of nostalgia from the 80s and 90s.
You have a good lord of the rings collection I see. I love S.H.Figuarts,Storm Collectibles, and Mezco. I get other toy lines as well here and there, but those 3 are the main ones I get for Stop Motion and posing on the shelf.
As long as you collect what you love there ain’t nothing wrong with that.. i don’t feel any nostalgia for power ranger stuff after season 1, i love playing pokemon games but don’t need any other merchandising, don’t have any mask stuff or any new star wars or marvel legends stuff but i did cave in for the new tmnt ultimates line tough 😅 ohI had a couple beenie babies growing up! I would probably get more if they hit a nostalgic note same goes for some my lil ponies, snugglebums and glow worms 😇 awesome vid!
We had quite a few beanie babies as kids. Wouldn't get back into them either but the variety of animals made it fun. I did recently get back into collecting dinosaur figures (thanks for the helpful PNSO and W-Dragon reviews!)
Oh man, I remember the local florist actually had a hotline you could call to hear a recorded message announcing which beanies they were going to have in stock and when. :D
Haha I love that cat. I had seen your videos before & for whatever reason didn’t subscribe until now, I like your approach & content. Congrats & keep up the great work 🤗👍
I love you a lot, #LauraLegends, because you're such an awesome content creator. I love your content so much because it's so cool, and I enjoy watching your videos.
I will have to disagree. Funko was founded in 1998 so they have over 20 years of history. Funko is constantly adding toy lines, and they are very competitive. Values of Funko POP!'s has had no significant drop in value. To add to it Funko is always staying relevant. People are just mad that a newer product has so much attention.
I kind of had a thing for my son's Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes. Those guys were chunky, robust, aesthetically pleasing, and had the best gadgets to play with.
My dude. Do you Funko? If you do, rumors are that we are getting the rock and sock connection 2pack. Also, Viva la Raza Eddie Guerrero. And Finally, Stone Cold holding the Wwf Championship. Wooo!
I enjoy watching your videos and admire your large toy collection (as well as your beanie babies)! I mainly collect 90s Marvel Toy Biz and DC Comics Kenner action figures! The reason being, I get to relive my wonderful childhood when my parents took me to Toys R Us! Also, I have some 80s TMNT Playmates action figures. Although, I enjoy the classic Star Wars movies, I never was in their action figures.
I have a large collection of pre 1998 Magic the Gathering cards. They are not sold in stores where I live, and do not know if they even print them anymore. There is also only 1 (one) Star Wars trilogy released during 1977-1983.
Don't feel bad, all of us have a guilty pleasure of sorts. When I was younger, I used to have a few plush dolls of my favorite cartoon/ comic strip characters such as Snoopy, Garfield, ALF, Heathcliff, and Fraggles. Now I have only 2 Funko POP's included in my collection. I remember the Beanie Baby craze very well people spending hours hunting down those valuable treasures! The Beanie Boos do remind of me a fuzzy version of Funko Pops.
I thought you were gonna say you were pregnant, you got me lol. Anyway, I actually have a whole collection of sealed WWF/WWE figures, yes I used to be a regular fan, not anymore, so because of that, I kinda don't like having anymore and, I'm actually looking to get rid of it.
Fun video! 🙂 I collect Predators, SW original trilogy and comic based Marvel Legends. My “other” less popular collecting is 90’s NASCAR memorabilia of Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon 🏁 Enjoy your channel 😊👍
I collect mostly video game and 80/90s movie figures and plushes. One small collection I have that I get a little embarrassed about when people see it is my small display of my life size Toy Story toys. I have Woody, Buzz, Rex, and Bullseye. Toy Story was one of the biggest movies of my childhood and was one of the biggest influences in my life. Watching that movie so many times made me believe that every toy out there had feelings and I still have that mentality today as a 29 year old man. I always treat my figures and plushes as if they were a live person.
Lmao I love this channel! So much great content and awesomeness! This is pretty funny that you bring this up because yes I love collecting Marvel Star Wars Jurassic park and DBZ things always but someone always hates my original 90s Pokémon collection when they hear about it. As a kid I had a VHS that showcased all of the Pokémon merchandise you could collect and basically watched that 30 min VHS all the time and wanted all that stuff really bad growing up but I was 2nd oldest of 6 boys in my family so getting things back then was rare and costly lol I kept everything I could and still do have a couple beanie babies too in my collection I have at least 12 in a tote somewhere. I don’t think anyone could ever hate on You Laura lol I Know I’m happy to see someone who has all my childhood dreams up around them and is as awesome as you are. Aside from the figures and toys lining the shelves do you plan on making any diorama type displays? That would be totally sweet to see what you would do there for collectors sets.
you need to genetically mod a tapeworm to feed on neurons while giving off bio-electrical shocks as a byproduct, then have it attach to the brain stem.
Ahhh so beanie babies was what got you started with a collectors mind... Bravo! You’re right, my attitude towards POPS is always like “meh” then I notice I do have more than 10...lol
I'm super into horror movies, metal, heavily tattooed and alternative fashion....but then I have a barbie collection! Really into 90's up to about 2010. And any signature/collector doll that comes out.
100 percent transformers fan but I love everything just can’t afford another hobby but love all ghostbusters tmnt heman Jurassic park I still got a poster they gave out in the premier when I was a kid that’s why I love your channel and cause you’re beautiful 😍
I had a bunch of beanie babies. First was the plain brown bear (newer face) that I still have on a shelf in a clear box. Have Scorch on a shelf too. The rest had all their tags ripped off when I realized they were all worthless and I gave them to my kids. Then packed them away. The books with the rarity and the worth listed were always exciting.
As a Toys for Tots coordinator I have been the depository for some huge collections of Beanie Babes. We dump them out on a table and find them all homes. Unfortunately some don’t pass muster and wind up in BB Heaven.
I collected Beanie Babies when they first came put, but only the ones I truly liked. I didn't, & still don't, collect for monetary future gain. I still have some of my babies, like my Princess Diana bear from it's original release. Now I don't know if it's an error tag or not. It was sold to me as an error tag. But I also have my Peace bear, the 2 iguanas, the lobster, & several others that I simply enjoyed having the most. The rest went to donation. My collecting style is so broad that I don't think anyone would be surprised to see anything in particular in my collection room. Except maybe a mid 1800s book of Psalms that I have.
Hey when the tag line is "gotta catch them all," what else are you going to do? I loved the games and cartoon but didn't really branch out to all the other merchandise. I really need to get back to the games.
I used to collect, assemble, and display Legos between 1994 and 2003. I noticed that I had was stressing from not being able to play with them and fear of accidentally knocking them down. So one day in a fit of anxiety I disassembled everything and put the pieces in a box. Best stress relieving decision I ever made. The only other thing I collected kinda were hot wheels even though I had no interest in cars so that was kinda weird.
Aha!!!!!! I always suspected something, well I have a confession as well I........ Am 38 and I still collect pogs!!!!!. Woooohh that felt good to let out lol!!!!!.
Oh well.. after seeing your "secret" pfft no biggie, Laura. I have collected some beanie buddies myself, and have gotten a few beanie babies mixed in as well lol That aside, I love your reasoning for why you collect what you collect.. for the nostalgia and for the enjoyment. My main collection focuses around Star Wars, trading cards and Die-cast cars. I have a few star wars figure I hope might be worth something, but if they're not.. meh, it's ok. Die-cast cars rarely go up in value, so that's more fun to get them and put them in display cases or set out a few and trading cards are just fun to look at once in awhile. I totally lucked out and was given a partially complete set of trading cards (from the 1990s) based on the artwork of the fantasy artist Boris Vallejo.. anyone who's read older sci-fi and fantasy novels might recognize his artwork on some of the covers of those. Wow! I never knew these had become a niche trading card collection =)
I'm a big fan of Undertaker! I also cosplay him and Scarlet witch too❤😍 I have a tiny jurassic park collection, bigger marvel/Dc collection. I also have 3 figures of Captain and order the captain marvel cosplay boots... I'm so excited for WandaVision!
Thanks Laura. My three children were born late 80s early 90s so yes we got a collection. My guilty obsession is LEGO Star Wars, Marvel and JP/JW ( baby Blue is my fav)🕷🎃🤠
I collect TAZ. Very large collection. I still have 80's stuff, several beanies, still have cabbage patch kids & horse. Old legos, Ms. Green m&m stuff & collection of She-Ra stuff.
I am a Huge Star Wars Fan, I have been one Since I saw The Phantom Menace at 4yrs old (I'm 20 now, turning 21 this year). I got interested immediately, even afterwords I think I remember asking my Mam and Dad if I could get a toy from the Movie. It was around the end of November so they said I could get 1 or 2 I think, then that Christmas I got a lot of Star Wars stuff. From then on, I've watched the shows, collected Action Figure's, Lego Sets, Comics, Video Games, so much. It is my all time favourite Franchise without a doubt.
I used to collect Bionicle, Lego, always collected some Marvel figures, a few Gi Joe 12 inch figures, Halo figures, transformers, rocks, model cars and planes. I got into some fad collections from peer pressure, like bonez, mighty beans, pokemon, beyblade, and yu gi oh, I had about 10 beanie babies, Spongebob ones were the best. I also still have a box of hilariously terrible knock off dollar store toys that would make Ashens proud. I currently collect DOOM figures, Halo figures, Warhammer, WW2 model kits, Gunpla, and plants, so many plants. Funko pops perturb me.
I probably would have loved the whole Jurassic Park thing, but I was in college and was taking a class called Historical Geography at the time. Before I had even had a chance to go to the movies to see the original Jurassic Park, my professor came out and gave this scathing lecture about how the movie got everything wrong. I went to the movie anyway, but his words were echoing in my mind and I found I couldn't enjoy it at all. Even to this day, I have never re-watch the movie and have not seen any of the subsequent movies. As for collections, well, I don't really have any. I still have two boxes of Matchbox/Hotwheels cars, but nothing else. I did have the original 1976 Star Wars collection that I got when it was brand new and a few other things, but I found that it was "disappearing" when I moved or when I had someone come and clean my apartment because I didn't have the time. I finally got sick of that, so I ended up getting rid of the rest. Now, I get pleasure of watching videos like yours and PRETENDING that I still have my collection.

I have the sci-fi equivalent of Beanie Babies: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace action figures! 🤣😂😮
"Say Jar Jar Binks is an Abomination. *Say It!"* - Deadpool
Star Wars Episode One: Peg Warmers
I recently narrowed my toy collecting down to Masters of the Universe. I'm keeping my Transformers and select Lego things, but I don't actively collect either anymore. I also collect Royal Albert Fine China, Fine writing instruments (Fountain Pens, Various Parker models), I also have an affinity for pencils, pencil crayons and Crayola crayons.
I’m actually a board game/miniatures game collector BUT I do have the Marvel beanie baby’s 😬
Oh no, Laura, how could you!!? 😜 JK, love the chan chan! I love most of the big franchises such as Star Wars and Star Trek, I am an avid sci-fi model kit builder and I love the classics as well as the franchise spaceships!
Anyone else think that it’s adorable that Laura thinks her adorable years ended when she was 16?
Simp much?
@@peteypaul7877 Troll much?
@@zenquantum1246 No Petey Paul has a point
@@alexanderavila2514And that point would be that my compliment was... too complimentary?
@@zenquantum1246 Bruuuuuuuuh. Petey simply called you simp due to the context.
I came around to the recent highly articulate 6" action figure trend when I realize they fit into my daughter's dollhouse. Epic tea parties!
Awesome 😎 especially with Marvel Legends and Star Wars: Black Series
As long as you collect what you love there ain’t nothing wrong with that.. i don’t feel any nostalgia for power ranger stuff after season 1, i love playing pokemon games but don’t need any other merchandising, don’t have any mask stuff or any new star wars or marvel legends stuff but i did cave in for the new tmnt ultimates line tough 😅 ohI had a couple beenie babies growing up! I would probably get more if they hit a nostalgic note same goes for some my lil ponies, snugglebums and glow worms 😇 awesome vid!
"I was an adorable kid." Pics, or it didn't happen.
Ha Ha!
Oh man, that was during the heart of the craze. Mid 90s. They did it here too.
Thanks Brian!! You’re awesome!! Sending you hugs ❤️❤️❤️
I lost it with the cat intro watched it like 3 times fkn cracked up!!😂😂
Funko pops are the beanie babies of this generation.
Nope
Yep, total garbage.
Are you a WWE fan? Marvel fan? I’m a HUGE Predator vs Alien fan 🔥
I like ty babies too
My dude. Do you Funko? If you do, rumors are that we are getting the rock and sock connection 2pack. Also, Viva la Raza Eddie Guerrero. And Finally, Stone Cold holding the Wwf Championship. Wooo!
What a mark
@@Gawdzillest What an Ass
Did you know there is a comic about Batman vs Predator!
I remember the 3rd Rock from the Sun show's 'Fuzzy Buddies' episode ... obviously mocking the craze. Great stuff, lol.
Love what you love and never be ashamed! For example.I love you and the "chan, chan!" Not ashamed at all. :)
MORE KITTY TIME! He's adorable.
I have a large collection of pre 1998 Magic the Gathering cards. They are not sold in stores where I live, and do not know if they even print them anymore. There is also only 1 (one) Star Wars trilogy released during 1977-1983.
Your still cute Laura, In fact I think there should be a Laura legends doll 🌹♥️
*You're
I totally buy that!
@@biteme109 me too
Simps.
She wouldn't get pregnant, babies are not collectible
Fun video! 🙂
I collect Predators, SW original trilogy and comic based Marvel Legends.
My “other” less popular collecting is 90’s NASCAR memorabilia of Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon 🏁
Enjoy your channel 😊👍
I believe in unboxing and playing with my collection.
Same! SO much more satisfying to hold it and pose it than just look at it.
Totally agree. Toys should be played with
I collect mostly video game and 80/90s movie figures and plushes.
A "best of" muffin the cat vid would be appreciated.
I collect dead rats after testing failed in my lab trying to make zombie rats

Ahhh so beanie babies was what got you started with a collectors mind... Bravo! You’re right, my attitude towards POPS is always like “meh” then I notice I do have more than 10...lol
I'm mostly a Power Rangers collector, and to be honest, I don't really hate anything, I just think some things overrated, like fnaf or creepypasta's.
I'm not upset about you, Dino Momma. You're pretty nice
that couple dividing their collection is wild
I just hate that I’m running out of room.
As a Toys for Tots coordinator I have been the depository for some huge collections of Beanie Babes. We dump them out on a table and find them all homes. Unfortunately some don’t pass muster and wind up in BB Heaven.
I admire your Realness.
I'm what you might call, a uh. Pokemon collector. I have cards. Figures. Games. Toys. And a son. Wait. My wife helped me make the last one.
And a big help!!
Hey when the tag line is "gotta catch them all," what else are you going to do? I loved the games and cartoon but didn't really branch out to all the other merchandise. I really need to get back to the games.
@@truefanforum3273 yeah its true. The damn tag line got me hook line and sinker.
@@thecasualcanuck4590 Same here. It was a brilliant marketing move.
But do you play for keeps?
@@LlanoRiverBlue oh man when I'm really feeling lucky lol!!!.
Oh well.. after seeing your "secret" pfft no biggie, Laura. I have collected some beanie buddies myself, and have gotten a few beanie babies mixed in as well lol
That aside, I love your reasoning for why you collect what you collect.. for the nostalgia and for the enjoyment.
I'm way too old to have started collecting Pokemon cards yesterday =/

Never too old. I'm 28 and collect Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I have a binder specifically set for ultimate rares and secret rares.

hazedunks123 it would've destroyed one fantasy and would give birth to a whole new one .
Hardcore GI Joe and TMNT collector here... but I have a thing for Carebears 😊
Good video, my friend. Continue on your road on getting that Giant Gold Play Button.
I collect disney mcdonalds from the 90s which includes aladdin and hercules, one day i will have toy channel like yours youve been such a an inspiration to my toy collecting🤗thanks for all the wonderful content
