I'm a flea marketer and finding a streetshark for anything short of $20CAD is usually a good deal. People either know what they are and don't sell, or they toss them out cause they don't look recognizable, so to a collector they're hard to find... Your collection is amazing and you knowing what the street sharks are makes you a legit collector!
Very rare to find someone authentic on youtube and why i subbed to you to begin with. AWESOME JOB on your channel!
I wish we could have stores like this in the UK, you got the charity shops, but you have to be very lucky to find some stuff there.
Cool finds Laura, love the Streetshark!
That Street Sharks figure was a good find
Agreed 🧞♂️
Thank you! Couldn't believe I found one! .... after finding one I thought there was maybe more so I devoured that toy section lol
@@LauraLegends interesting 🧞♂️
@@LauraLegends "so I devoured that toy section...."
And that's how Laura ended up in the ER....🤮
Cheese Burger I agree =)
You pulling the Street Shark out of a thrift store toy bin was fun to watch.
I agree about the Street Shark! As for 1:20, that situation is going to require Holy Water and a Priest
Having someone like you as a friend is enough reason to feel proud and to feel sure and safety because you are of those people who make this world more happier and good
🤗
When I was younger, I used to collect military planes like the Avro Arrow you got there, assemble them with glue and put the stickers on them, I had quite the collection hanging from the ceiling! My favorite was the F-16 Fighting Falcon (then I switched to Star Trek ships after that), but good for you that you found those little treasures at that thrift store! Sending kisses to you Laura! XXXX
Back in the early 80's the kids would sing "Monchichi, Monchichi, yo momma looks like E.T."
Laura i'm really proud and happy of being so honest with you since i know you because you has bring me a lot of support and very positive things to my life
Hope you stay safe over there Angel! 🦖🤓
Laura!!! You literally took toys from children! 🤣🤣🤣
Good to see Golden Brothers making a cameo in this video
had to include them!
The synth pop mystery music.
I was the voice of one of the monchichis in the 1980s cartoon! What a great find!l. Most people today don't know what that brand was! I can still sing to be jingle!!!
Thanks for continuing to do these hunt/haul videos Laura, absolutely love them.
Yes street shark's are awesome!!🦈👍🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
I like the Pacman plushie! Plushies go for way too much in stores lol I feel like that would have been like 25 bucks at least for making sound lol
Loved the look of surprise on your face when Pac-Man kicked off. 😂
Thanks for the amazing video Laura! Watching your treasure hunting videos brought us so much happiness when we were in lockdown here in Manitoba over the past few months. Loved your Avro Arrow find and what a deal on the street shark! Keep shopping and stay legendary!
Awesome street shark find. Looked like it was waving to get your attention too. Also, lol at the no one else can have these items moments. 😁
Loved the Avro Arrow! I just love history and never new about it during WW2. All the other grabs were awesome but love to hear your Dads stories. Thanks for sharing
I carried my Monchichi with me everywhere when I was 5 yrs old!
Do you know if they are supposed to be an animal of some kind? very soft!
My sisters favorite toy as a child
@@LauraLegends all I know is they’re based off monkeys
Wow haven't thought about monchichis in forever
They had a cartoon in the early 80s on Saturday mornings
I looooooved the Monchhichis when I was a kid!! I’m so jealous. That’s definitely my favorite find of your haul. 😀
That look you had when the pac-man made sounds was pricless.
Thank you for taking us on another fun adventure with ya...And that Reptar shirt is killer!
Nice Model Airplane! I love that you explained the history of the plane! I had a pooch, he was a Chihuahua.
Another toy and collectible hunt with the lovely, and legendary one herself. You're looking lovely as always my dear. Odin is getting big too! Always a pleasure to tag along with you on these toy hunts. The toy store that you went to looks like it had managed to get some great stuff. Btw, I hope that you had checked your PO Box for the gifts that I have sent you. You have some more stuff being sent to you within the next few weeks. I hope that maybe some of this stuff will be opened on your next PO Box opening. Anyways, I hope that your 2021 is going off to a great start. Thanks for you and your channels and for being the loveliest and best UA-camr out there. All of the best to you always Laura! Much love and blessings. ✌️😎❤️🌹
That's tooo funny: "in the wild"!! 😂👌
Whenever you say island, it always reminds me of the Elton John song , “Island Girl”
Hey hon, you should've picked up ever single Disney VHS they had, very collectible and worth money. Have a good rest of your day.
They’re not really worth that much, those huge prices you see on eBay are actually money launderers that created the hype of the “black diamond” releases.
@@Frankcore oh my b
I always enjoy seeing your thrift shop finds! Definitely loved the street shark!
Awesome video, you totally taught me some aviation history today! That was a pretty good haul too!
I'm glad to see someone else use the old VHS tapes as display pieces. I've still got a lot and put them in with my figures .
That street shark thought it could hide lol. HA!
he's like bet you can't find me NERD!!
@@LauraLegends haha
Love seeing when someone finds something really awesome 👏🏻 Dante is really cute lol and your beautiful great channel 👍
The Top Gun VHS is awesome! We have come a long way from the days of VHS but its always cool to come across one especially one of my favorite movies and actors Tom Cruise! I cant wait for Top Gun 2! I really enjoy watching your videos! I collect mostly Pro Wrestling stuff and Figures! and Superman/Batman staff mainly from my two favorites Christopher Reeve and Michael Keaton! I also have Ghostbuster's figures and toys/prop toys, and some Jurassic Park toys like a Dr Ian Malcolm figure who is my favorite character in the movie! a matchbox Jurassic Jeep car and a few pops. Keep up the great work!
You are hilarious! First you grabbed the Spiderman, you went and grabbed a big ole bag of Beanie Babies! 🤪😜
Awesome finds 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️ Great haul 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Shark
🤗🤗🤗
Aw dang I never find Street Sharks out in the wild. Nice find! I have found a few Battle Trolls recently at an antique store though!
Monchhichi were very popular in the 80’s. My sisters and I always had them.
I hear there was a cartoon too 😸
@@LauraLegends There was a cartoon for Monchhichi. I don't really remember much other than the theme song and some villain named the Sand Witch, which I thought was the sandwich. Maybe I was just hungry when I first heard the name. To be honest, Monchhichi were cool but Shirt Tales where better imo.
Same here..Being 7 years younger than my sis, I was jealous of hers..lol
Oh damn that Barbie doll looked like Michael Myers lol 😱😲😂😂😂
We have similar thrift stores here in southern Alberta, so thanks for your info!
And I did the robot to your outro music.
Slammu's fist slam on the nail... that brings back so many 'fun' memories and may or may not why he was usually banished to ride in the sharkruisers jaws >_>. Hearing how much the Sharks selling for now is definitely making me curious, keeping and hoarding all my cool shit from childhood may actually pay off?
Amazing as always my friend 🤗 🥰
🤗🤗
Favorite item was the Polish woman. 😆 always enjoy your videos. I might even start checking out the thrift stores.
Awesome finds, "the only thing better than finding what you were looking for, is finding what you weren't looking for at a great price!" love me some thrift store shopping
and it's cool the Street Sharks are becoming popular again, made me dig out my Hand puppet of Streex
Great pick up. Love the history piece on the Aveo Never knew that was a Canadian made plane
You grabbed that street shark faster than the flash! I’d say thats a pretty good thrift haul for just 10mins! 😁🛒
Great finds!!
My favorite item is the same as it is in all of your videos... you! A close second this time was the Monchichi... I cracked up as soon as you picked him up. Reason being, my doubles partner on our high school tennis team was nicknamed Monchichi! (They had the same haircut. lol)
You are a Street Sharks magnet !!! Very nice find !!!!
Love the shopping vids 👍🏻🙏
I liked the jet story, I bet your dad is proud!
You know Laura's making it when she refers to her home being on on island 🤣💀💀😝
4:34 didn't know the Grinch still ran through January too 😢
omg I used to have those harry potter stones! so cool to see stuff from when I was a kid :D
Laura making kids cry in the store by grabbing the toy first that they want. I thought I was the only adult that did that. LoL ;)
Excellent track selection!
Oh damn! I was obsessed with the Avro Arrow when I was a kid! I even had a transformer character that I drew that turned into one!
Cool music! I get a Public Image, The Order of Death vibe.
Right away, as soon as I saw that Street Shark I was shook. That's crazy awesome! For .99 lol Great haul
Thank you! When I saw it I got so sweaty lol
Monchichi! Awesome!
monchichi, was an animated series in the 80's. watched every Saturday morning back then.😊 I may have own a monchichi plush.. I forget. lolz
Maaaaan that pochi dog brings me back. I wanted one so bad when I was little but I never got one. All my friends and a rich friend had them. This was a good haul Laura. Minute I saw the Street Shark I knew you'd freak out XD
Should have got the VHS of ‘Flight Of Dragons’. That’s my favourite childhood movie.
For late Christmas my wife got me a pop vinyl 'board game' (didn't know they existed) with Ian Malcolm and a T-Rex included. Also got me a shower curtain liner (weird gift I know) with a picture of the painting 'Creation of Adam', but with John Hammond as God and of course the open-shirt Malcolm as Adam. Get jealous! lol.
hhahaha omg that's the best shower curtain ever 😂😂 so epic!
@@LauraLegends Also, pretty sure I saw that thumb slide on the front of the Lost World VHS checking for the holographic insert. I know cuz I have a copy at my parent's with it intact. Unless my parents gave it away...
Laura your videos seem to get better an nice thrift store vlog you were rocking those glasses an loved the reptar shirt
Nice haul Laura! My favorite was the harry potter rocks
Wow I like the pac man! Cool! The monkey is called a Monchichi and it was popular in the late 70s to early 80s. We used to have a couple of them as kids. I know it was a toy like. It MIGHT’VE at one point become a cartoon. Can’t remember for sure.
OMG!!!! Camo Creme makeup!!!!! My friends and I used to use that in our wargames 35 years ago. It would stay on ANYTHING....but your face if you sweat. Then it just ran right off your face or if you accidentally brushed your face with your sleeve or shoulder then you had more of a camo design on your camo clothing.
Another great video!!
Awesome finds and video
Monchichi Monchichi scared the shit out of me!! Lol
haha 😂 I'll enjoy looking more into these guys
That Poo-Chi toy brought back memories from the deepest parts of my brain lol thanks for the unexpected flashback 😁 Also awesome vid as always!
Always a pleasure to trigger a flashback haha! Have a great week!
@@LauraLegends You too!
Didn’t know you were from the PNW! Greetings from Seattle and awesome thrift store finds!
I totally had a monchichi as a kid.
Oh the feels. Never knew anything about it except he was awesome
Wow I never new you were Canadian ! Montreal has some pretty great thrift shops too if you ever come.
Yes well done here in the UK still in complete lock down so no charity shops are open it's good seeing there are things still out there to buy can't wait to get back buying
Excellante harvest. Snatching Spiderman under the eyes of those kids shows epic resolve. Poor kids who crossed your path. 😒
hahaha 😂 their mom actually hurried them along through the aisle so they actually weren't able to really grab anything unfortunately
Dante is such calm and peaceful
he's a good boy!
❤️ your 🎤 singing 😆
Nice score. When I saw the Street Shark I knew you bought it.
Laura, you are one fine Canadian woman. I enjoy seeing your videos an love your humor. Odie is a cool doggy.
Ok that Big Slammu figure, I always hurt my fingers with his action move!!! I'm glad I'm not the only person!
it's like a trap lol!!!
@@LauraLegends Ugh you make me want to start collecting Street Sharks! My favorite was the Hammerhead, I think his name was Jab.
Nice finds! Sometimes it’s just about the thrill of the find
G’day again mate. I’ve been checking out my local Salvos Shops, and Saint Vinnies Shops too, trying to find some cool cheap toys needing a good home, but so far nothing “dude”.The ladies that work there, keep telling me that they get quite a few queries from other folks into toys. AAARRGGG! Competition! Because of t.v. shows such as ‘American Pickers, Storage Wars, and Pawn Stars’ business for them has really picked up. But I can see things are going well with your toy fixes “dude”. But we will never give up. We are crazy TOY COLLECTORS so it’s onward and outward mate to our next fun toy discovery! YAAAY! Next time my friend.❤️👍🇦🇺😄🤪😁☮️
Hey mate! Ya those shows have definitely brought thrifting into the spotlight more! The hardcores know when exactly employees put things out at some stores - lots of competition! Hopefully you can find some sweet stuff soon! Take care mate! 🤗🤗
AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! MONCHICHI!!!!! 😱 😭 They used to give me nightmares as a kid, and i’m still not really sure why 😅
lol i liked how u looked for the card on the lost world vhs tape
reptar shirt is awesome! Street shark is a great find!
Love the Hat!!!
My favorite from the video was you playing w/ the Golden Brothers!
Guess I’m going to have to start videos at my local thrift stores. Great finds
I like that cool guy stuffed wolf with the jacket and shades🕶️ I'd put that bad boy on display with my shot glass collection.
Awesome
You would love my home town thrift store VHS tapes are a penny and stuffed animals are buy one get two free. Also my grandpa fought for the Canadian and American armies during World war 2
Cool love the rugrats shirt Laura and the reptar/chuckie toy too😌
love reptar! 🦖
@@LauraLegends tommy chuckie too😌
Awesome!
🤗🤓
@@LauraLegends 🤗👍
Harry Potter Stones were probably my favorite one hope you're doing well stay legendary like always Laura
very neat little stones for sure! I like how they were packaged too! Stay Legendary!
"I don't collect Beanie Babies, trust me..." while holding a giant zip lock bag of Beanie Babies lol.
Ha, I think she just needs to come out and admit her love of beanies lol
@@mcassidy1976 ...She's in denial, she relapsed, call the collector hotline. it's just funny lol. She's great.
The chukey and the beanie babies are my favorite.
I loved street sharks as a kid!
Lovin' that Street Sharks figure. Here in AZ they are extremely hard to find in the wild, so much so as I have yet to find any Street Shark items.....ever!
I was at a rummage sale a few years ago and there was a table full if Street Sharks and I ran over to grab them but a guy got there just ahead of me and shoveled all but 1 into a trash bag. I got the 1 and still have it. It was a bag sale too so it was $5 for everything in the bag!
I can’t find a Street Shark for under $30, sweet find! I also had a Poochy, I had the silver one with the blue ears.
