Ok so this is the first fictional thing since Assassination Classroom to make me genuinely emotional, like I genuinely felt sorrow as I realised that the wise cracking snarky drow bastard was gone forever and replaced with a mindless slave champion of Asmodeus, RIP my favourite character and thank you to Matt for playing such a damn good role in the campaign and for the lovely little message in my player's handbook you left when you signed it

"F*** it"shoutouts to the best warlock play of all time. Make a pact and sacrifice my soul? "F*** it, yeah I do it"the disregard for his own soul, to just dive in at the deep end to help his allies. I think this is the greatest character moment in this whole campaign.
I'm starting to think a lot of problems could have been avoided if they still had that dragon slaying short sword..

I believe that the dragon slaying sword was not a foreshadowing though. He said at that episode that he had not made up custom loot from there and he was going to roll for it.
mustafa geldiev I would argue that dragons become pretty common foes at higher levels. Check out critical role and how many dragons they fought. So if you find a dragon slaying sword, you keep it. Like percy did, even though he was a ranged attack focused character.
"Ohh, he's looking VERY bad!" 90 damage later, the giant is still up.
I know it's not gonna happen, but if the guys ever wanted to revisit these characters after the campaign wraps, a trek to the Nine Hells to save Trell's immortal soul would make an amazing epic-level one-shot. I can't stop imaging a time skip followed by Trell's old patron beseeching the team with a plan to get him back. He never approached them before because it was out-and-out suicide rather than just probable suicide.

well something that might help Trell, isn't lady Amiriliths magic orb/sphere meant to cure curses and break demonic bonds and packs, if so then that could save Trell, unless i'm remembering wrong

I've watched and loved this show since day one two years ago and i can't express how much Iove you all and how much you inspire me. Its sad to see the old characters on their way out but I also know the new ones will prove to be just as lovable and brilliant. Happy birthday Matt and i love all of you.
If it's a 30 foot radius, it is 30 foot in every direction from a specific point - radius is half, diameter is full. Think of a circle :)

Rewatching the campaign after a while, and what hit me in the feels most this episode was Lady Amy’s sorrow of breaking her oath. Decades long promise of pacifism thrown away to save a city of almost perfect strangers, but also a new found love. It wasn’t even a promise she HAD to make, that’s the worst part. Beautifully tragic.

I was hoping Reynard would scream something like “Leave my Grunka alone!” when he killed that giant that was about to kill her.
Kinda feel it was a little harsh to not let Cam try and banish the demon before Trell's pact completed. He did specifically state if he saw any movement towards a pact being created he would use the spell. I feel Trell shouting "fuck it" and raising a knife to his hand is enough of a prompt.
That was when cam tried to banish, the pact took a slash with a knife, which can be done very quickly
MegaBluecrest which I would totally agree with if Cam hadn't explicitly stated he had the spell prepared and ready to go the second he saw something suspect.
and the spell did go through. But the demon succeded on her saving throw and trell got the pact off.
Either way, since she succeeded in the save, Trell's pact would have still activated even if the Banishment had gone first. And like MegaBluecrest said, the pact only takes a slash of the knife to solidify it, so there wasn't a lot of time for Cam to cast a full VSM spell.

Also hope Trellimar comes back somehow maybe his "previous" patron could give him some divinity to break away from servitude.
Doubtful as his previous patron was weak due to his isolation, they could in theory as Mark said break the contract somehow and restore Trell, but it depends on if they ever see him and figure out it's Trell, chances are Mark will do something and give them a chance.
...Oh sheeyit. I knew sending the newbies after the demon summoning hobgoblins was a bad idea, but... damn. That's rough.
OH MAI GAWD this just keeps getting better and better literally the best entertainment ever. I save these to listen to at work (I'm re listening from the start on the off days) and I just can't get enough.
It makes me really sad that they're ending the campaign after this. There are so many more important story threads that they can follow not only with Trellimar gone but with Bresseras and the recovery of the Dawn Republic and uncovering the mysteries of the light fall.

Unless everyone dies it isn’t ending with this it has been confirmed they are going to Brassarass in a q&a by Mark and I’m sure there is some more ties that they are going to tie up before the campaign ends

You can also see that the fiend before you is not alone. You see that he is accompanied by a dark purple, very cute, but at the same time very demonic looking, Pseudo dragon. You can sense telepathically the dragon expresses the desire to eat your body and deliver your soul to his master. The fiend speaks directly to his pet. “You’re eating heroes tonight, Granamyr! For the glorious cause of Asmodeus!” And you watch as he readies his hands to blast you. What would you like to do?”

Really surprised that wasn't caught. You'd think with Matt coming back after so much time and needing to level up so much to reflect the passage of time (clearly a higher level than when he left), Mark would have worked with him like with the other players but especially since Matt hasn't played for awhile and has a LOT to catch up character wise. That discrepancy resulted in a couple successful saves that should have failed.

With this, the current unemployment and the binge watching I am finally current with this campaign. Next time I decide to binge watch nearly three hundred hours of D&D, counting Uncharted Territory and Dead Reckoning along with a couple Christmas episodes here and there, I will need to reevaluate my life. While watching more High Rollers. I feel it's the only logical path to take. To be fair they have inspired a desire to play this game within me that I never knew I possessed. Still trying to get some people together for the first campaign I will ever do but it is difficult to get people to join even if they express interest, they say they have a "life". It sounds cancerous. But in all seriousness High Rollers HAS inspired me to give D&D a shot. Had a friend immediately jump on board to be the DM and another who jumped in as a player. The DM wants at least four people to play, an excluding my friend who jumped in immediately and myself three other people were filling out character sheets, even with their busy work schedules. I am looking forward to my first session with my friends whenever that may be so long as they don't bog themselves down by having to much to do.

I heard of them, but the last one in my country was in 2016, and none since...
I think America has more of them, and they might be more commonplace in the UK as well...

Wish you good luck. Ever since I watched little bit of dnd here and there I've been feeling the same way. Real life gets in the way all the time. So I totally understand where you're coming from.
Consider trying Roll20, because buying all of the dnd equipment IRL is really expensive, the 3 core books are $50 each, and the spell cards are $20 each. Theres like 9 decks total. Plus each miniature booster pack is $15. Accessories like a grid map and water soluble markers are around $25 each. By the time you have everything set up, you've spent upwards of $300. Online DND is easier sometimes.
The books are the big bit, everything else is not really important. We play with a grid map and some pens. Some people have spell cards, but they aren't needed, minis are not needed in any way, we just use cardboard squares instead.

Mark forgot to mention which rollplay campaign he's in so I did some digging an found out its called RollPlay: Far Verona.

Ironically it's that campaign and his guest role on CR where I learned of him.
The one thing i don't like is that Mark keeps saying the snake woman serves Asmodeus even though she's a Demon which means she's from the Abyss ;p which Demons are hated by Devils who come from Asmodeus's realm of the 9 hells of Baator
this series man, came in didn't think much of it , got totaly addicted to it and loved watching trell, trell left i stopped watching for a while, then i saw tom playing and went right back to being addicted these two are my favorite people in the series. too bad trell had to go but i think it was a fitting end.
Dark Days for the republic. Dispell magic on the Ship its inloy 120 feet and i'm not sure if the rules allow for it to take the whole ship down because its probably longer then 120 feet, but maybe it will start to drift towards the ground. sure would be nice if someone had thought to bring hallow with their fire arms... spoilers below
that said that was very suspenseful i i could tell trell was gonna make the pact from the thumbnail but the part where Jiutou was considering it was pretty scary given all she went through with Crownrend. Most of what came after was almost tear inducing Poor Amarilith and trixania seem really shaken up.
