Crappie fishing is so much fun just love it and they do make the best fish taco's ever just do not keep the females in the spring. northern Wisconsin here.
This video reminds me of older guy in Akeley Mn that taught me about Crappie and Pike fishing in the area lakes up there over 30 some years ago while I was working at a resort. He had a skinny cartoon character (life size)with binoculars up to his face with girl watcher painted on the side of his old boat. We got a lot of looks, it was awesome. He went by the name Pinky. He was the best fishing partner I ever had. Guys like Wayne and Pinky are Very rare. It’s great you have them on your channel. Wish I had footage of those days like you have now. Keep up the good work and thanks.
I believe the males are just as crucial for guarding the nests and taking big males allows smaller fish genetics to be passes on. But it's not like you don't have enough fish that taking a few is okay. I suggest taking some of both male and female... Just one guys opinion on
@@JoeHollandFishing I know that it's true with bluegills... The research coming out in Minnesota shows 100% that the big bull bluegill are the most important fish in the ecosystem when growing big pan fish is the goal.
@@JoeHollandFishing I also believe that your state is in a situation that really could gain a lot of Tourism from the crappie populations I've seen on your videos wow
