@ yes. The boy was so engrossed in the film he seemingly forgot where he was and swore at Hans on screen. Luckily it was a later showing so not many young kids in the room.
16:32 Anna’s word choice to call herself “ordinary” instead of “normal” is really sweet She’s not calling her “different” sister “abnormal” by extension, she’s calling her “extraordinary”
I thought it was still Elsa loving Ana and crying didn’t realize it was Ana who saved herself but I was only 7 when it came out and I’m just now realizing that’s what happened lol
found this about the lawsuit Kelly Wilson filed a suit back in March over the similarities between a trailer for the animated blockbuster “Frozen” and her short-film “The Snowman”. The similarities have to do primarily between Wilson’s title character and Olaf the snowman from “Frozen”, which Judge Vince Chhabria found parallel enough to warrant a suit and accordingly, a federal court has twice denied Disney’s request to dismiss the case. Having realized that a continued legal battle might not be worth the hassle (especially with a “Frozen” sequel on the horizon), Disney has agreed to a confidential out-of-court settlement with Wilson.
Elsa's powers are triggered by her emotions so when things were getting worse it was because her mental state was in a frenzy. I really hope I explained that right.
People always mention how weird it is for the guys and Kristoff in the beginning to be selling ice, but back in the day people used ice to store food and other stuff. They were used to create basically refrigerators, before the modern ones we have now!
If you go back and re-listen to the first song in the movie where the ice harvest are singing, they say beware the frozen heart and you might think they're talking about Anna but they're actually talking about hands, as this film is originally based off of the Hans Christian Anderson Story of the ice Princess and in it there was this like mirror that gets broken and something to do with a bad guy or something, also the names hands Christian Anderson is Anna Christophe and Finn and also obviously hands. Which is very cool.
I remember when this came out and thinking it was so cool that the “act of true love” that’s always in movies doesn’t have to be romantic at all, especially as a young child with a sister And despite all the hate Frozen gets with its admittedly way overplayed songs, I really do love this movie and its sequel a lot! (also I’d be so down for a let it go cover)
Same! I saw this movie when I was 16, and my mind was blown when I first saw how the "act of true love" angle was interpreted. I also relate so much to Elsa, and I have a younger sister who's 3 years apart from me, just like Elsa and Anna are.
I remember seeing this movie with my little cousins, and even they knew that Hans was shady. I still haven't been able to get "Let It Go" out of my head for the past decade.
Lol, I didn’t notice. I was just using the one main light on the day I filmed this. We usually use Maria’s phone for the second light, but she was out that day so I had to work with what was available 😆
I mean, the trolls didn't exactly tell them HOW to help Elsa control her powers and between Anna basically getting knocked in the face with a snow brick and the trolls telling how super dangerous Elsa's power could get, in their minds, "controlling it" meant learning how not to use it. And it made sense for them to isolate her until she COULD control it, but she never did. Not only would people treat Elsa like a monster if she was found out like we saw with the weasle, but she could seriously hurt someone like we've seen several times. Elsa's powers are dangerous, which makes Elsa herself dangerous. Cutting down the staff and closing the gates provided less risk of Elsa getting exposed. So, their thought process made sense. It just wasn't the BEST choice. Not to mention, I'm sure they didn't expect to be talen out so young that they thought they'd have more time. Who knows what Elsa did after her parents died regarding her powers. She had no one at all to help her. Parenting's hard enough, and there's no manual on how to help your damgerously powered child to control and love with their powers, unfortunately 😩...
I saw a comment about this in another reaction but for a split second when Hans confronts Elsa in her castle, you can see him look up at the chandelier before he points the crossbow up at it.
I do think the parents had the right idea in mind but the way they went about it was horrible. First of all they blamed Elsa for Anna’s mistake, yes granted she was a child but it’s clear they didn’t set any boundaries when it came to the girls playing with Elsa’s powers. If they had set boundaries, they wouldn’t have gotten up in the middle of the night to play unsupervised. Then they made the decision to erase the entire thing from Anna’s memory but no Elsa’s. So not only does she have to live with her powers, she feels guilty for what happened to her sister. Then they locked them both away in the castle and kept them separated for years. The scene where she’s a little older and the dad is trying to get her to calm down, notice how she leans away and says she’s doesn’t want to hurt him. They instilled that fear in her by making it seem like it was never going to be able to manage. And it honestly seems like they were more worried about their image than their kids, cause look at how the kingdom reacted when they finally found out, but instead if they had known years ago and Elsa was giving proper help to control it, everything would’ve been fine.
You made some good points. However it's easy for you to talk when you have watched the whole movie and it's hypothetical and fictional. People who deal with serious struggles in real life know it's not so easy
It makes me so sad how this movie got undeserved hate because it was overhyped. Yes, it's not as flawless as people raved about it when it first came out, but it still has its own merits.
I’ve seen some people criticize the idea of “love” being the thing that solves the winter, but people don’t understand there’s been so much foreshadowing in all of the movie alluding to it! Elsa didn’t just magically learn “love will thaw” the idea is that the love she feels for her sister is what keeps her emotions at bay. She’s now in tune with her emotions due to the mutual love her and her sister have. Her emotions are what controls her powers and in order to keep them in HER control, she learned that she is loved and not some monster that needed to be locked away. Anna loves her and embraces her. She has no reason to be anxious because of her sister’s love. (This is also foreshadowed in Fixer Upper) :) I’ve been obsessed with this movie since I was 12 years old and it came out.
What happened to Christophe's family isn't really explained all that well, they do sort of allude to it in the second film through different things that happen and the people that they meet who are similar to him, but it's not outright confirmed, however the creators said they are hoping to answer all unanswered questions in movies three and four, it's the whole reason that they're making a fourth film as well as a third film, originally I think they were just gonna do a third film but they said they had too much information too many plot holes to Phil and all of that so they're making a fourth film or just like splitting the film into two parts I guess. As for Elsa, what actually happened to her and who she really is does also get explained in the second film that's like the main part of the second film that's what they're trying to uncover,so her parents were kind of investigating that that's how they died they were trying to figure out how she got the powers that she did and who she's meant to be in what she's supposed to use her powers for etc, so that does get answered in the second film, I highly recommend watching the second film after this, cause it's a good time and it answers a lot of the big questions around Elsa and her powers.
That moment when you realize Olafs speech about love is even MORE foreshadowing to what the act of true love turned put to be. "Putting someone else's needs above your own." = Elsa willingly shutting herself away for years AND running away from Anna at just the fear of hurting her again. Anna chasing after her anyway REFUSING to let Elsa do so, because despite everything, she still loves her. And just as the cherry on top: The speech came from Olaf himself, the literal embodiment of their love.
Josh gad, who plays olaf was in a bunch of things, but there are three roles aside from this one that I remember him the most. Marshall Murder on the orient express Beauty and Beast Live action. He is a good actor who can do both serious and comedic roles.
The lesson at the end was "Fear freezes, love thaws." Elsa loves her sister, therefore talking to her wasn't triggering her powers. But she was still so scared of hurting Anna again, she couldn't see it!
A lot of Josh Gads lines were improvised. And by that I mean: They'd tell him what's going on in the scene, and/or have a character speak, and Josh would just respond as Olaf.
Have you heard the fun fan theory that Anna and Elsa's parents washed up in the jungle after their ship went down and that they had a baby after arriving? A newborn son who would be raised by gorillas....called Tarzan.
That theory is totally disproven by what happens in the sequel, their boat ends up at the top of Scandinavia near the Arctic circle, not western Africa, Frozen has nothing to do with Tarzan
Thanks for a fun way to spend a break. According to some campfire stories recorded by the voice actors for the release of the sequel, Kristof is a self-taught lute player which has something to do with his parents, so whenever those details get revealed in the Frozen sequels I imagine they'll equal Elsa and Anna's childhood trauma.
I used to play “Let It Go” on the piano, and goodness, it’s a special song! It does things that are hard to anticipate and remember, even if you’ve heard it a hundred times-sharps and key changes where most songs wouldn’t have them, time signature changes, and (iirc) seconds and sevenths that give a discordant vibe most songs avoid. All that is perfect for this particular song, but it goes against something like muscle memory. I haven’t a had regular access to a piano in 5+ years, and I’m beyond rusty-definitely not a skill set I’ve prioritized maintaining (let alone growing) throughout adulthood (the past 13ish years). So I don’t have the same music know how to confidently describe what’s going on. But I’m thankful for how the knowledge and experience I do have helped me further appreciate this song. I’d suggest against covering it, since people are kinda sick of it… but if it seems like a something fun you want to play with, cover it anyway.
Absolutely! So many interesting little details in this song that aren’t usually found in pop music. Thankfully for me, it’s very reminiscent of how metal songs are written so it’s all very much in my wheelhouse 😊 I didn’t really know people were sick of this song at all, but I guess it makes sense lol. I do think I’ll start putting my version together, especially considering I did get a pretty solid number of people say they wanted it. Not quite a hundred, but still a lot. Hope you get back to playing piano at least a little bit 😊
There are a few moments in the second movie that show Elsa can still lose control a little bit if she's not careful. Also, yes, a cover of Let It Go would be cool!
Sam do a cover of "Let It Go! 👍" Lol! But seriously, PLEASE DO! 😊 ❤ I love this movie. :) The second one is OK in my opinion but this one still has a special place in my heart for personal reasons. 🥺❤ Thank you for the reactions! ❤
Santino Fontana provides the voice for Hans. In Once Upon a Time, Kristoff is played by Scott Michael Foster. Both were series regulars in Crazy ex girlfriend.
The sequel is about Elsa's power and its origins, but it heavily implies some things about Kristoff's past, but doesn't get into it or explicitly state anything, which was a bummer, because it seemed like it was going to come up. I am betting Frozen 3 will get into Kristoff's past (or, I certainly hope so)!
Thanks for the feedback and support! Yeah, I think it’s important to get into the nuance of it because it obviously does exist, it’s just more complicated than some people/stories make it seem
People think this movie's overrated? I think hating on this movie is what's really overrated. Seriously, everytime people try to compare this movie to any other movie that's not even remotely related and say said movie is better when I'll bet anything that 50% of them haven't even watched this movie. That drives me nuts, cuz everytime I wanna tell them "We get it, you didn't like that movie! Move on!"
I definitely wanna hear you sing Let It Go! that'd be so cool!! And if you happy to be able to if you could show or explain the process of doing it that would be so cool to see!
Thanks so much! I'd like to do a video for how I'm going to make it. Time might work against me, but I am going to at least try because I'd enjoy doing that 😊
I love the film but also the stage version is so good. Elsa has a song called Monster which I have listened to on repeat, it's so good! Also if you want a power ballad, just wait for Frozen 2 😅
Thanks so much! I haven't got anything happening on streaming services just yet, but I plan to have my first solo single out soon and hopefully I'll post Let It Go there as well. Will keep everyone updated! Glad to hear it 😊
2:32 It's explained in Frozen 2. 12:22 Their parents was authorized to enter in Elsa Room Unlike Anna , Elsa was more close to them because they was knowing about her powers. 43:50 I was thinking about that the first time i was watching the movie too but Frozen 2 Kind of confirmed if Elsa died , all she have did by her magic disseapered with her.
Thanks for doing Frozen, hope you'll get to the sequel soon too! And omg I didn't get that part where it was Anna's act of true love that saved her... I thought it was because Elsa loved her so much hugging her and all that 😅
No worries 😊 sequel is filmed and should be ready next week! I hear you. Could have been, but I figured it was Anna essentially saving herself cause that would be a powerful message for the movie
@@themoviebud1988 your interpretation made a lot of sense to me when I heard it, I wonder if the director or whoever made that scene ever gave any comment on it... 👀 oh and can't wait for Frozen 2! Love that movie... and the music especially, so good!
I wrote a fanfiction where I wrote this with the Mario Brothers, called Fireproof! I wanted to show how the story would change if it was them. Its under ICanSingNoRequiem, on Ao3. Come say hi!
I loved Frozen when it came out I thought it was sweet and a different take to the book the Snow Queen I love that it had some funny scenes and some unexpected scenes like Hans betrayal. I love the music and the characters personally I liked Anna more than Elsa although at one point I got sick of it because my little sister kept playing the movie over and over again that she broke the DVD it was her favourite movie at the time but I got over that eventually that I don't mind watching it again but I'm glad you enjoyed it and can't wait your reaction to the second one hopefully 😊😁💙
Crazy how I used to be just like Anna when I first watched this movie over 10 years ago. Back then, Hans actions didn’t even seem like a red flag to me cause I was also super naive and inexperienced. Now that twist in his character seems so obvious lmao, you live and you learn I guess
I’ve been thinking about this, and honestly I’d love if you’d try album/music reactions from time to time. Since you have a musical background I think it be something interesting for you to try. No pressure, just thought I’d put it out there ᵕ̈ (you mentioning doing the cover made me think of it again for context)
@ honestly it could look a like a lot of different things. I like the idea about polling your audience. Maybe on albums they’d love to see you react to. Again no pressure, I just always liked the musical insight you give (as someone with no musical background), and would love to hear more ᵕ̈
LET IT GO COVER LET'S GOOO i would love to hear that and appreciate all your efforts, Sam!!! please I don't comment on yt usually and english is not my first and second even language, but i have huge respect for you and I'm absolutely sure that I'm just one of a large number of people who have so taking this opportunity to say that you are so wholesome! like your thoughts just so right and pleasant to listen! this channel became my comfort place a long time ago, miss Stef, happy holidays!! you saved me from anxious days 🙏 so wishing all the good influences you have done to people will return to you with triple force ❤ я смотрю вас с далеких мест и существование этого канала имеет огромное значение для меня. он стал неким эталоном адекватности? всё всегда в меру и при этом никаких оскорблений и необоснованных осуждений. просто крутышки 👍 люблю таких людей, люблю этот канал и желаю всем найти такое же комфортное место 😔❤️🩹
Thanks so much for the support and kind words! Your english was good and easy to understand. Maria translated the rest for me 😊 I appreciate you taking the time to say this even though you don't usually comment. It means a lot 🙏
I´m like a month late, but I think a cover of let it go would be really cool! Also, thank you so much for your content, the feeling of watching a movie together with someone is very appreciated! :)
Thanks so much! Already been mapping out the basics of how I might arrange it. Going to check in again with everyone in the second movie, but I think it’s likely I’ll do it 😊
since ive seen from some comments how you already filmed frozen 2 im looking forward to that reaction as well! i'm curious as to what frozen 3 is gonna be like as that got confirmed to be happening. Also the voice of Kristoff is Jonathan Groff, and the voice of Hans santino fontana which unlike jonathan i'm not personally fimilar with!
I would love to hear a cover! Also, I enjoy this movie despite its flaws. Something to put on for background noise, but I will say I hate the trolls 😂 they feel so unnecessary

React to Frozen 2 but also the 2 shorts
When I saw this in cinemas two teens on a date were sat behind me. The boy looked like he wanted to be anywhere else during the ads. I forgot about him when the movie started. found this about the lawsuit
Kelly Wilson filed a suit back in March over the similarities between a trailer for the animated blockbuster “Frozen” and her short-film “The Snowman”. Elsa's powers are triggered by her emotions so when things were getting worse it was because her mental state was in a frenzy. I really hope I explained that right.

I still remember watching this in theaters and thinking that Olaf melting for Anna was going to be the act of true love
There are a few moments in the second movie that show Elsa can still lose control a little bit if she's not careful. Also, yes, a cover of Let It Go would be cool!
Sam do a cover of "Let It Go! 👍" Lol!
But seriously, PLEASE DO! 😊 ❤
I love this movie. :) The second one is OK in my opinion but this one still has a special place in my heart for personal reasons. 🥺❤
Thank you for the reactions! ❤
Thanks for all your support! 😊
Love the reindeer horns (antlers?) made out of lights you wore to be in tune with the movie theme
Lol. Took me a minute to figure out what you meant, but I get you 😂
Great reaction as always! I love your takes.
Also, please cover Let It Go!
Thanks so much 😊
Yes, do it Sam.
One thing to note when it comes to law suits and Disney, if they do have a case, Disney will typically settle out of case.
Thanks for the info 😊
Santino Fontana provides the voice for Hans.
In Once Upon a Time, Kristoff is played by Scott Michael Foster.
Both were series regulars in Crazy ex girlfriend.
The sequel is about Elsa's power and its origins, but it heavily implies some things about Kristoff's past, but doesn't get into it or explicitly state anything, which was a bummer, because it seemed like it was going to come up. I am betting Frozen 3 will get into Kristoff's past (or, I certainly hope so)!
Pls give us the Let It Go cover!! Also, I love how you always defend insta-love to a point because of you and Maria 😭 Y'all are so cute
Thanks for the feedback and support!
Yeah, I think it’s important to get into the nuance of it because it obviously does exist, it’s just more complicated than some people/stories make it seem
10:50 For the first time in forever, Anna was noticed by someone.
the second movie is even better
Also if you want a power ballad, just wait for Frozen 2 😅
love hearing you sing sam! would love to hear your cover/ know where to find you on spotify! ❤️ made my day today fr
@@themoviebud1988 omg can't wait! I really loved Frozen 2, and the songs were great!
@@themoviebud1988 your interpretation made a lot of sense to me when I heard it, I wonder if the director or whoever made that scene ever gave any comment on it... 👀
oh and can't wait for Frozen 2! Love that movie... and the music especially, so good!
You should do a cover of let it go
I really want to see Sam's cover of Let It Go
I wrote a fanfiction where I wrote this with the Mario Brothers, called Fireproof!
I wanted to show how the story would change if it was them.
Its under ICanSingNoRequiem, on Ao3.
Come say hi!
Put yourself out there! Love it ✌️
I loved Frozen when it came out I thought it was sweet and a different take to the book the Snow Queen I love that it had some funny scenes and some unexpected scenes like Hans betrayal. I love the music and the characters personally I liked Anna more than Elsa
although at one point I got sick
of it because my little sister kept playing the movie over and over again that she broke the DVD it was her favourite movie at the time
but I got over
that eventually that I don't mind watching it again but I'm glad you enjoyed it and can't wait your
reaction to the second one hopefully 😊😁💙
51:40 Anna saved herself with an act of true love that will thaw a frozen heart🩵 while also saving Elsa
Crazy how I used to be just like Anna when I first watched this movie over 10 years ago. Back then, Hans actions didn’t even seem like a red flag to me cause I was also super naive and inexperienced. Now that twist in his character seems so obvious lmao, you live and you learn I guess
Love having a movie bud to watch my favorite movies with. Would love to watch your cover of let it go!
Thanks so much!
I’ve been thinking about this, and honestly I’d love if you’d try album/music reactions from time to time. Since you have a musical background I think it be something interesting for you to try. No pressure, just thought I’d put it out there ᵕ̈
(you mentioning doing the cover made me think of it again for context)
It's something to consider, for sure. No idea what I'd look at though. Guess I'd have to do a poll or something
@ honestly it could look a like a lot of different things. I like the idea about polling your audience. Maybe on albums they’d love to see you react to. Again no pressure, I just always liked the musical insight you give (as someone with no musical background), and would love to hear more ᵕ̈
LET IT GO COVER LET'S GOOO
i would love to hear that and appreciate all your efforts, Sam!!!
please I don't comment on yt usually and english is not my first and second even language, but i have huge respect for you and I'm absolutely sure that I'm just one of a large number of people who have so

Thanks so much for the support and kind words!
Your english was good and easy to understand. Maria translated the rest for me 😊
I appreciate you taking the time to say this even though you don't usually comment. It means a lot 🙏
I´m like a month late, but I think a cover of let it go would be really cool! Also, thank you so much for your content, the feeling of watching a movie together with someone is very appreciated! :)

Thanks so much!
Already been mapping out the basics of how I might arrange it. Going to check in again with everyone in the second movie, but I think it’s likely I’ll do it 😊
I think a full cover of Let It Go would be supercool!

since ive seen from some comments how you already filmed frozen 2 im looking forward to that reaction as well! i'm curious as to what frozen 3 is gonna be like as that got confirmed to be happening. Also the voice of Kristoff is Jonathan Groff, and the voice of Hans santino fontana which unlike jonathan i'm not personally fimilar with!
Yep, should be ready by next week 😊 for sure, I’m curious about the third one as well. Thanks for the info!

Also, I enjoy this movie despite its flaws. Something to put on for background noise, but I will say I hate the trolls 😂 they feel so unnecessary
Loved your reaction! Please cover Let It Go! ❄
Sure I'd love a cover! Hope you'll post it here ❤
