This is going off purely on how I felt about tripping, I think it happens more often on Day 4 because of how little sleep Oswald has been getting, so he’s basically a bumbling idiot from sleep deprivation. I noticed I was tripping more Day 3 and 4 than even Day 5, so it might just be a higher proc on those days. Just something I noticed, might not even be real and is purely coincidence, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way
It looks to me that Oz began tripping a lot once the lights turned off, and Bones never turned them back on. It’d make sense that he’s tripping if he can’t see that well.
Tips: - You can hold sprint and run back and forth on the spot to trip whenever you want. Basically just dash dance like from Smash Bros. This will alert SB to your exact location immediately if you do it until the bar turns red, like a noise maker that he can't break. - You don't need to interact with the basement door after talking to the kid in the Endo, you can just go straight to Jeff. - If you are good at mashing, Heftin' with Helpules can get you 18+ tickets every time you play it, which can be used to grind for the handheld game very quickly so you don't need to rely on the Freddy mask spawning to skip the ladder. (If you go to the library instead of the pit on day 4 you can trade for the firecracker and flashbang Freddy on your initial encounter, skipping night 4's house section entirely. I actually did this on accident in my very first playthrough, which was entirely blind. xD) - Chica doesn't chase you herself, she just alerts Spring Bonnie, you can run past her with no consequence provided SB isn't on the other side of her - The safest time to do the candy mini game is right when the kid is in the Endo, just mash your way to it. Downside is you have to listen to him cry the whole time. - As far as I can tell, the moment that an animatronic interacts with a door, you can leave the hiding spot you're in. You don't have to wait for them to disappear. - SB banging on the doors comes with its own sound cue, which lets you tell if its him or Chica. Freddy holding a door has no sound effects at all, just the door moving.
Hey, there is a way to tottaly skip the house part in night 4, when you leave school, do not enter the ball pit and go directly to trade with the firecracker kid. That way in the first time you interact with freddy, you will already lure him out and you do not have to return home. I think this way you will not need to escape using the stepladder, wich is kinda hard.
Just a thought, maybe Oswald has a higher frequency of tripping when the breaker is off/ when its dark? That might have been why Oswald tripped so much in Night 4. Makes sense like from a logistics point of view, but this might need further testing. Cool run btw! Man's goated.
Can confirm. From my testing, I don’t think the mask drops before night 4 (unless I’m wrong and someone discovered it’s a chance and night 4 is guaranteed), but if you dip to the library instead of the ball put after beating the shit out of Dylan with either the mask or the gaming handheld prize, you can trade for the firecracker and not get dragged away, allowing instant access to the security room and skipping the night 4 house sequence altogether. EDIT: the mask is able to drop before night 4. I just got ungodly unlucky the previous times I went into the attic. Guess it’s a chance of happening, with it guaranteed on day/night 4 since I got it every single time on that day
@1tsJustKetchup I also noticed that no one can attack you in the arcade after you lure the bonnie out of the room, so you can play arcades, trade tickets for voucher, use said voucher and only then untie the kid. This will give you a prize to trade for a firecracker just in time to skip the night 4 house escape sequence
Also you dont need to check the basement after finding the crying kid in the endo, after that cutscene you can immediately ask jeff for the basement key Edit: also im pretty sure all you need for the night 4 sequence break is to go to the library before freddys so its probably worth checking the attic for the mask every morning leading up to that

tripping can also be forced much easier by holding sprint and rapidly moving back and forth
also im pretty sure u trip more often in the dark and springtrap may be more aggressive in the dark as well
also stop using any automatic driver installer windows handles that for u and they can cause serious issues

I think the darkness also increases the tripping and overall agression. Thats why night 4 was so hell.
