“Shells or a pair of gazelles was saying something”- beanie sigel I love gazelles like most casual sneakers theyre staples in my city. I had 2 pair in HS black and navy blue because we wore uniforms. And I brought back the black in 2010
You did touch on it (Soccer fans) but as someone in the UK who was a fan of early Hip-Hop, it gets too much credit for establishing some brands, while it might be true for Hip-Hop culture, adidas was already being worn by people in the UK who had never heard a rap in their life. Same way brands like Nike and Fila owe most of their initial UK popularity to the tennis pros of the time not rappers.
Thanks for the reply! I definitely think of Terraces and Premier league soccer clubs when I think of the Gazelles origins. Appreciate that perspective from someone physically in the UK. I plan on doing an episode on Sambas soon, and I imagine you will have a similar sentiment. Cheers!
@@tripplerich Yeah Sambas and Kick were the first shoes I remember (adidas pretty much had the market for themselves at one stage) although I'm not attached to those like Gazelles tbh!
Yeah man! Considering covering the Reebok Club C next! Converse weapons and common projects are on that short list too. So hard to choose week to week! 😅
... A true timeless classic fullstop!!
Facts! Never going out of style!
Now I need a pair of gazelles. The shoe without a true og worn in every sub culture and bond. Needs!
Gotta have atleast one pair in the closet for those days you’re in adidas mode but dont feel like wearing yeezys 😅
Is this gazelle 85 or regular gazelle ?/
@@Richness77 the pair I have in this video and that they have been producing lately is actually the ‘91 version. Appreciate the question! Take care!
Is the green colored SUEDE upper made up of GENUINE or SYNTHETIC leather?
I am not quite sure, I can try to find out though. It all feels pretty real to me, but these days you never know. Lol
