Why didn’t you use the metra mounting plate that hooks up just like factory and seals tight! They also have a plug that hooks to the factory plug and will connect to after market speakers perfectly! That way it is looking professional and if you sell the car you can put it back factory in 15 minutes! I did on my impala!
The Carter Hour I used the Metra 82-3006. No holes necessary, and you can reuse the oem gasket from the factory speaker. under $10 and included a 6,5 adapter. Very clean install
Cool, just ordered the 82-3006 for my Cobalt, same speaker has died twice so replacing the crap ACDelco factory speakers with cheap Clarion 2 ways...anything should Best the ACDs

Wat about the window wen u put any speaker in without adapter or spacer the window so close it hits won't go down

How come you didn't use a speaker mount adapter to hold the bass response. I would never drill any holes into the metal. Just my opinion.
