It sucks. Toyota made this car to be modded. It was advertised as a moddable Supra for the enthusiasts. Then one year later, they beefed up the power and locked up the ability to tune. Sorry about your oil issues. They should have left the 2020 B58 in there.
The JB4 will definitely add at least 50whp to your supra on a 91 octane and about 80 whp on a 93. Doesn't matter what the starting hp is, 380 or the 335. The 2021 supras have lower compression pistons so you can run more boost than the 2020, so the jb4 may actually be even more effective on your car than the 2020 as its main means of adding power is by increasing the boost.
@@Powaup There isn't a map that's made specifically for the linear power delivery. Supra's stock turbo is very small and quick to spool up, which inherently results in the powerband where a bunch of torque gets dumped all at once. The piggy back tune won't be as refined as a custom dyno tune, but ultimately, those who want a more linear power delivery need to upgrade to the pure 800 turbo. That will smooth out the power delivery.
Going to be dropping my car off at Toyota soon to get the oil issue fixed and since that'll involve warranty work I've decided to take my car back to stock.
I have the oil issue on my 21 too. Service is refusing to say there is an issue, just telling me to get an oil change at the maintenance periods. What did you tell them to get them to take to seriously? I have had many cars and a bmw in the past, none burn through oil so fast.
