FlemLo, I’ve watched you for years and you’re usually quite fair and balanced. Not so on this one. Every person involved got $14,000 including mike. You can’t be adopted after you turn 18 in that state. It’s the law.
Where is your comment on what the father said immediately after this broke? It’s utter BS that you present only one side. That family took in some homeless child who didn’t own a pot to piss in. They quite possibly saved his life! And now this is how their taking in someone else’s child is portrayed? Wow. People should not fall for sensationalized reporting. As the truth comes out, you will hear less and less about this story because it doesn’t fit the agenda that we all must be at each others throats. It’s all theatrics and hyperbole from some money hungry lawyers. Watch how this plays out and if you’re wrong, you owe that family a resounding apology. They are making it look like they took in this child to train him to be a football star which is just absurd un the surface. They had 10’s of millions before they even met him.

That family is a big reason why he got into Ole Miss. Don’t try and tell me a grown ass 18yr old black man is heartbroken about not being adopted because that’s how old he was when they took him in.
That family was worth millions before him, why would they need his money, if anything he’s probably mad that he’s not inheriting theirs.

It also seems strange Michael earned his NFL money fair and square. It didn’t go to his parents it went to him. He also should’ve found out about the conservatorship earlier since it gave the parents control over contracts and medical decisions. I have seen this movie many times, and read up on it. Michael Oher had originally said the movie was almost 100% accurate except the fact he did not know how to play football. Big Mike's girlfriend wanted Mike out, so Big Mike's friend had to tell him, he could not stay with them anymore. The Tuohy's saw him alone a few times, including the night they picked him up. They never said they were going to adopted him, in fact they knew he would be 18 in a few months and could not legally adopt him. So they asked him they could become his legal guardians.....which is what they did. There is a BIG difference between Adoption and legal Guardianship. They saved him from a life of homelessness.

Love the videos man, been watching for years. I would definitely recommend looking into conservatorship laws in Tennessee and also adult adoption laws. There is information stating that they could not legally adopt Mike as he was an adult but that the court system would see him as a family member through the conservatorship. Another thing to keep in mind there was a court hearing that granted the conservatorship with Mike's birth mother present. I know you've seemed to take Mike's side in this instance but I would ask look at the facts objectively in this case, keep up the great work man.

“They explained to me that it means pretty much the exact same thing as ‘adoptive parents. But that the laws were just written in a way that took my age into account. Honestly, I didn’t care what it was called. I was just happy that no one could argue that we weren’t legally what we already knew was real: We were a family.”

The movie deal was between the author and the studio NOT the Touhys and the studio. Meaning the author got the bulk of the royalties not the Touhys or Michael. Also the Touhys were already multimillionaires before meeting Michael. There way more to this. I will reserve judgement.

Yo Yo Flemo, Where you been my boy.
I was just asking about you the other day.
    You've been missed man.
It's good to listen to your fresh, unbais take on this high controversial issue and your to the point viewpoint on such a sad affair like Superbowl Championship Lineman Mike Oherand the way that the goody two shoes 👞🥿 Touhys finessed Mike into signing a conservatorship, making him think that he was being adopted by them and that they had "His" Best Interest at heart, but turns out, they only used him to steal millions from his story, his name, and his likeness.
It is so unfortunate that Michael Over have to go through this receipt and betral from people who assured them that they lived him for him.
Hopefully Mike will be vindicated in the court if law and rewarded restatution.
