If they do this to a mf that's alive just imagine how much BS is in movies about mfs that are dead
damn ain't that the truth.
i was taught not to believe shit i saw in movies and take them with a grain of salt
True, look at how History has rewritten The Civil War. Most people believe the war was only about freeing slaves. Very little research will prove this a myth (the first Emancipation Proclamation, which still allowed slavery in bordering states, was written 2 years into the war). Once they reclaimed The South, they immediately concord The West, using some of the same Union Officers (including Custard) to destroy The Native Americans. Of course, this will never be taught in schools.
You making him look good ?
Like they did eazy e on straight outta Compton
I’ll say it, they made that player seem like he was mentally handicapped in the movie portrayal.
I agree.
Odd part of the story that never gets mentioned, Oher was never that good in the NFL. He was moved to Right Tackle, cast off by the Titans , then the Panthers, his career over by age 31.
yea he's still pissed about that he graduated with honors for F**K sake
Don Strong , he played well in Baltimore, and he has a Super Bowl ring too...

Why did they use a clickbait picture as if it was a mugshot. Even the freaking video to shed truth is shady! Smdh
I'm sure you can guess why
Same...first impression was a mug shot...I see I wasn't the only one that received such impressions.
I thought it looked like a mugshot, first thing that came to mind.

Thought the same thing.
Can't wait to see a movie of a Black family adopting a white boy and helping him become successful.
You know better.
Mark Oppuse I’d like to see the statistic on how many times that has happened, comparatively speaking
yeah i know how to figure that.....lets see this over this...divide...mmm and add this...yep ......0!
I see it everyday on the streets of Chicago only it is a black man taking in multiple white girls and helping them achieve there life goals on one corner at a time
Old news dumbfuck!
I especially liked at 1:03 where it's pointed out Michael had 11 brothers & sisters and 'you' show an affluent white family smiling.
How sad can that be,you talking about Michael 11 sister and brother, but you show a white family. Where the pictures of his Black sister and brother? ??? It sad how this world want to sale you fake story.
😂😂😂💯👌🏾
True. Those stock photos were hilarious.
The time's stamp is where the bs begins 😂😂😂
They made him come off like Radio instead of Michael Oher in the movie.
Did you know Michael Oher when he was in high school...? How the fu*k do you know how he was then?
Kevin Shea lol did you watch the video at all?
@@goodcookie5622 So...you didn't know him in in high school? Every director takes poetic license when making a movie. I am quite sure that Michael had an agent when he signed the contract to sell is story. I did watch the movie, three times actually. I guess the point was mainly that a kind family took this kid in. She didn’t think she’d be able to portray a catholic woman realistically? What does that even mean?😂 we don’t look or act differently than anyone else. Unless you’re a nun.
No movie should be downplayed when it comes to a based on a true story. It should be as close to the truth and real as it can get. But God forbid we offend someone....... I would rather hear the truth than be lied to.
And just now this comes forward . 10 years later.
No I knew about 75% of the stuff they talk about about 2 weeks after the movie was released
When the player has blown his cash wad
I think that's how movies are, they don't put the whole story. Like they say the books are better than the movie.
Exactly, thought the movie is alright to watch
Just be grateful..
The details were close enough. You gained love, a family and a very well payed career. Not everyone is so lucky.
Still feel that way?
Imagine how Jesus feel about Hollywood casting him and his story smh🤣🤣🤣🤣
If we knew our African history we would know there's no Jesus. People that believe in Jesus don't know African history. You don't know pre slavery history you only know what the slave master told you. We need to study true African history.
lol
@@indigoglooracleandmore5253 I'd love to know the true versions of history and knowing where you came from is important, but one thing people need to realize is that white people are not all the same and have many different backgrounds.
Did everyone who caster in the movie die
Am happy Michael wrote his own autobiography to tell his own authentic story and set the records straight. People should also remember that Hollywood is all about entertainment, thrills and fiction, never an avenue to present truth and facts as they should be
The great thing is the actor who played Michael was unknown broke and taking care of his younger siblings. This was his breakout role so kudos to him but screw that movie
Michael Oher got paid big money for the rights to the film. No one forced him.
Michael Oher is one of the MOODIEST & WORST people I have ever known & worked with! Ask anybody, except the the family, who knows him & they will tell you the same
They still can't get the 2pac/Biggie movie right...
Right. What you said.
Who still cares about Biggie and Pac story? Cuz you really wouldn't wanna know they didn't portray the things they rapped about. Dr. Dre didn't even keep it real about Straight Outta Compton
@Terry Melvin Yea me including some others I was alive when they were walking this earth. It's nothing new to learn from their stories. They've been dead the equal amount of time they been alive almost.
JERU facts
The blindside is one of my favorite movies.
Me too! It’s one of the very few that I can watch over and over.
Loved the movie .... They might have told something's differently or didn't tell the story accurately but u still get the picture .....
I remember being 13 and reading his book, this is another classic case of the book being way better than the movie
That's amazing I'm glad that Michael got a book out about himself real story
They did Mike dirty in that movie. They acted as if he was Lenny from “Of Mice and Men”.
Lol
The real story would have been better than the made up version.
exactly
Has Michael done ANYTHING for any of his eleven siblings? Or for ANYBODY? Is it true he's BROKE after making $34 million in the NFL? Is it true he has tried to shake down the Twoeys for six figures with the complaint they didn't legally adopt him?
All "Based on a true story" movies are simplified & embellished.
Shidd the person who acted michael need his own dam story 🤣
Big Bag ej 🤣🤣
Loved the movie! Of couurse it isn't accurate - Hollywood never is. If Michael wants to make a documentary, go for it. I'd love to watch it.
His father didn't die in prison he was murdered and was thrown off an overpass.
I didn’t like the movie either, it’s the whole white people saving the poor black man. Ehhhh
Rite
The difference is though, this time it is based on a true story. Those other movies are not.
Shoulda left him in the gutter. Mfers are never happy.
ramadog1, If you will remember, one of the scene in the movie has the line "Mrs. Touhy, you have saved this boy's life" to which Mrs. Touhy replies "No, he's saved mine". Some "Mfers" are OCCASIONALLY made happy.
What Paul Mooney say???? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It was a Stevie Wonder film!!!!!
Why don’t the real ppl write their own story instead of exaggerating their story
Boy boy boy let them folks be happy
I don't look at Michael any different than a amazing athlete
Micheal orr smash that real talk.
The problem I had with the movie was they made him seem slow and not know the game of football other then that a good movie.
It was to win the audience duh... more heartfelt... dont nobody gaf bout no broke ass overly confident ass athlete
he had to be smashin the snowbunnies in that house🤣
It was entertaining but the story was about Michael yet the movie was more about LeAnn
In any movie based on real events, you should assume that at least fifty percent is fiction, since studios do take dramatic liberties!
Why can't people appreciate the things others do for them instead of complaining . Some people are never grateful or thankful . ..smdh
Who decided this man life needed be on film. Not Michael; hmm
that's why almost all movies say based on true story!! there is only so much time to get a big story in a movie!
Hello, the truth will come out, Psalms 58 3,read it and pass it on.....
Hmmm
Even I know that a movie will never give you the exact story. Thats why its an adaptation
She didn't think she could properly portray a Catholic woman? What?
This was interesting to hear
“ the two men do have a similar build “ oh cuz he’s big .... “ they both are very tall “
Some movies don't need to be totally accurate, it just need to teach us the lesson intended. He should just be greatful for a new and better life because of it. THE BLESSING, for both young men.
You fell for the lie
Now that I’m older and can think about everything that happened in the movie no way in hell im getting in that car
I noticed they didn't say anything about his Mother, that was wrong
There will always be differences in the movie version of a story than the true story.
This is what happens when the Rights to a story are sold for either turning in to a movie or a Television series. The Sound of Music is another example of this and same for Little House on the Prairie.
Bad logic, the only ones stopping hollywood from making an accurate movie based on a real story is themselves.
Oh my gosh. A two year age difference.?
It sounds like they needed to talk to Michael to get the facts straight.
The whole damn video they say “Michael wasn’t happy with the way that he was portrayed in the film” literally every minute
I love facts verse
Thats why it's BASED on a true story
Hollywood....warping history, as they always do.
Ive never heard of him before the movie so actually the movie did something for his career
You know what tho he was adopted into a loving family eventually tho all that matters
Why do they show random pictures of people who have nothing to do with the story?
When a movie is made about someones life, is it not customary for the person the movie is about to read the script and approve of it before the movie is made?
No. Most of the time many things will be changed to make it more public palatable. Even if he approved the script's first draft, directors often take liberty to change things while filming to make it more interesting, and to make it work as a movie. Movies are not documentaries that have an obligation to make factual content.
@@covertLLC Thanks, this was helpful.
so.......this person, whom. ever he is; decided, " hey, if I come out with something, I might get some money too"!! & here he is!!!
Quinton Aaron knew NOTHING about football? Wtf
So what was this a means of saying that a white woman assisted a black mental male in reaching his potential? On top of that the school was worried about how they would look? That kinda speaks about the school it’s self why so worried?
That's where the term 'Hollywood Spin' comes from. They do it to real life stories, Books, Plays.. Listen I loved the movie.. and for others that did as well I'm sure they took the time as I did to read up on the real story... What they did to 'Biggies' life story was tragic, but I realize it's because I lived through the story as an outsider of course, so I can imagine how Michael would feel as he does about a movie about his life that doesn't look like his life..
Okay this was a movie not a documentary. So what's the big deal?
A multi million dollar Oscar winning movie deal, is a big deal.
Documentaries don't make any money.
@@MrJadeHappy Exactly....So he made the money from the movie but complained because it wasn't documented properly?? Did he wanted his story told or a paycheck??? That's apparently a big deal.
@@djfines242 Well he had 10+ years in the NFL and a movie, now he's writing a book on his real life story, so yeah another paycheck

That's Hollywood for you
what do they mean they didnt mention Patrick Ramsey???? Who cares about Patrick Ramsey????
Ok since when did the public start thinking movies about ANY real life person, or event was a 100% factual thing? It's s movie to entertain, it's not a police evidence file
That’s Hollywood for you 🤦♂️
The touhys investment paid off big time!
Michael Orr has to realize that it's not a biography about him so the producers had creative freedom to write the story how they wanted. Sad that he was so sensitive about it.
Somebody falsely portray you to perpetuate an image of i unintelligience and no self determination and leave out all the racism you faced at the Christian school is definitely the right kind of sensitive to be
@Roy G Biv I didn't realize it was "biography" of Orr. It's a "portrayal" of his life. Meaning the specifics don't have to be accurate. If Orr had anything to do with it it would have been just another movie about a troubled youth who was cared enough for by a caring family to push him in the right direction and the movie would have been lost into obscurity. No Oscar nom , nothing.
@@oneway19781 I do believe he signed a contract giving the producers creative freedom and probably was compensated for it as well. You just don't make movies about ppls lives without permission or lawsuits would be filed. So for him to bellyache about it is being pretty sensitive.
As far as I'm concerned I thought the movie average at best. I can't stand Tim McGraw and Sandra Bullock was ok. Orr's character was the only interesting one in the movie.
No TERRIBLE that cant just tell the mans story..STRAIGHT

IMO, if this was just a movie and wasn’t based on a true story, it would be fantastic. But the issue everyone has is that it doesn’t portray the story accurately.
Ever considered suing the scriptwriter for fraud?
You all need to learn what "artistic freedom" is. He okay'ed the movie, he sold it to the studio. Would it be better if it was portrayed closer to the real story? Yes. Would that have made the same success? Don't know. Was it bad that the studio did what they did to his story? Definitely. But it's good for entertainment
Who was surprised by this🤷🏼♂️
it's a movie, so of course they won't have time to tell all the facts

They had time to lie about his football skills. No they're not gonna have time to tell his life story, but at least get it right.
I wonder how many NCAA rules were broken.
This is a given for a Hollywood movie, you should know that they have to dramatise it, for it to sell duh.
To me, it just seems Mike wanted an eight hour movie to go over everything.
I believe his overcoming so much is awesome, however, his beef with the movie isn't huge he just wanted certain aspects amplified.
Turns out its a little worse than that
great ! Michael wrotes his book to tell the real story, he is the amazing hero!!!
