With the utmost respect, I don't think EI and Leyline Dowser are comparable cards, they are just fundamentally different. On a power level comparison I don't think it is close either. EI got banned, as it should have imho.
I don't think Leyline Dowser is the new Expressive Iteration either, but it was worth testing it. Dowser has performed on the level of Up The Beanstalk for me in other decks though, and shown itself as even better in a fair few situations, which is darn exciting to me.
@@joshdavis3743 The reason I wanted to play it at the start in this deck was to cover for EI, and it does do some similar stuff. The role it tries to play is the same, although by the end of the video, the question gets answered. I can see the critique of it sounding a bit clickbaity, but I wanted to convey the thought processes and where I started as the start of the video etc
@@crucible_of_words I think a more honest title would of been something like is Leyline Dowser the next legacy staple, or is Leyline Dowser legacy power level?
“Oh look an efficient draw spell in blue, lets ban it” -wizards probably I think its so gross that izzet decks have to splash green to get card advantage, GREEN. EI was the perfect card to round out the color pie, ban daze or ponder instead, but please let blue be able to draw cards again😭

@@crucible_of_words Just seems like a clickbaity title to me, especially since you have now admitted you don't think it is the new EI either.

@@joshdavis3743 Thing is, I was directly testing it in this deck in the Expressive Iteration slot as a replacement. Sorry if the title bothered you :(
all I want is more dowser
Recorded a great league yesterday, so you can look forward to Tuesday!
Well is it?
No xD. But it is VERY good and belongs in control decks, over Up The Beanstalk in some lists

Don't worry, we got more Leyline Dowser decks coming :D
