From a life long New Orleanian; that experience from Antoine’s was amazing and i hope you realize how rare of an opportunity you got to see the city from that place.
Amazing… glad y’all were able to experience the city like that.
I know how special it was. Will never forget it.
Awesome Bushmaster!

@@euroasianbob9268 Thanks dad!
😂😂😂 it’s our long lost son
@@b2becky1 hi mom can you please send me over that car you promised me? The 4x4 that can go anywhere and looks really cool!
A Jaguar is a very nice car. I have an XJ Super. I absolutely love it.
From 1984 to 1986 a covered utility body style was available in the US called the Bushmaster. The Bushmaster was an aftermarket/dealer conversion done by the Matrix3 company. It was created from a King Cab 4WD model, welding the cab and bed of the truck together along with a custom bed topper which increased the height of the whole vehicle. The interior was completely carpeted, and incorporated a rear folding bench seat similar to the first generation Toyota 4Runner. This option is exceedingly rare, and is considered a predecessor to the Pathfinder.
Awesome information! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'd love to know what the decision process was behind starting with a King Cab rather than a shortbed. The only thing I can think of was that it would've been prototyped and proposed around the time the trucks got a heavy midcycle facelift - an enlarged standard cab, switch of production from Japan to Tennessee, and the rebrand from Datsun to Nissan - and that Nissan tipped off Matrix3 about that but was unable to supply them with a new-style standard cab truck to work it out on. The King Cab was unchanged.
I would think the King Cab gave more visibility out each side.@@nlpnt
Of course the Jag wil make it!
Did it? Lol. Find out Wednesday. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@euroasianbob9268 fingers crossed!

Great video! That was funny when the TV camera man was filming himself being filmed. lol
I'm definitely going to Antoine's next time we visit New Orleans.
You’ll probably go twice like us 😂❤

Reminds me of the Toyota Trekker we had in the late 80's
It was really fun chatting with you. Derek - white roush mustang sellers
Congrats on your sale!
That Datsun 720 Bushmaster predates the Nissan Pathfinder.

Gorgeous truck!
There are still 2 1967 Datsun trucks here in Flagstaff; one is sweet, the other is rusty and rough but they both run and drive daily.
Hey my TV broadcast trailer made the channel!!! The goldish semi trailer in the background
I thought I see you when I was watching the live coverage
Great episode!!!

Bob is the man!
Bob and Becky--you both are hardcore automotive enthusiasts! The thought of road tripping a single classic vehicle is daunting enough but two??? You are both severely infected with an incurable case of Car-Crazy, and we love to share the adventures with you!
I figure if one breaks down at least we have a chance the other will make it! Lol.
Infected! Couldn’t put it more appropriately 😂
Great vid! The Nissan is super special. The Jaaaaaag not so much, but at least it's a V12 which would be fun as he'll to strait pipe 😂 good times. I love that you take your lovely wife with you. Truly a class act.
What a fun time!

G'day mate. That Nissan Bushmaster, what a great buy. We didn't get this 4Runner looking version option in Australia. We only got the ute style (aka pickup) in either a single cab, king cab, or dual cab versions. And were called Nissan Navara. For us down under, this is a unicorn. Good one. 👍
It’s a Unicorn here too! It was a conversion based off the king cab long bed pickup done when new in California.
You dodged a bullet not buying that Bentley! 40k plus a fee 😮 Buy one at Manheim for 28k Loving your videos!
HOOOOOVIE!!!
Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I had a Lemon Peeler bike just like that one they were selling other than it's yellow, I probably would have bought it. :-)

Winnebago did conversions to Toyota trucks from 81-83 known as the trekker, in 84 Toyota came out with the 4runner
Nice

1995 Jag XJ12, eh? I couldn’t tell from the night shots but is it a Vanden Plas? Since it’s a ‘95 that means it should be an SWB model. It didn’t look like it had a glovebox. If so, that would mark it as an early ‘95. Black with red pinstripes seems unusual for an XJ12, perhaps a special order? Curious as to mileage?
62k miles. I’ll check out the details you outline. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Crossover!

Disappointed we didn't see the kitchen and an overview of Antoine's, Bob.
.
Ya, I really wanted to but they were very busy and I didn’t want to be bothering people dining and working with a camera. I guess you better go check it out in person! Lol.
Was that a SRT or Chrysler’s version of a Viper SUV w/ a v10?
It was a Shelby modified vehicle.
The stripes gave it away as a Shelby made vehicle.
It’s Nissan not Neesarn mate
Louisiana pronunciation.....Gris Gris = Gree Gree. :)
Ya, we learned that later. Lol.
Ha ha.. yep I figured I was off on that! 😂
That Nissan is amazing, it's like the daddy to the Pathfinder. I love all the body on frame Pathfinders.
I am 100 percent that Nissan is more reliable than your equally cool Jaaaag.
I agree! Bought the Nissan to rescue the Jag driver. Lol.
that stretched out Nissan 720 was nothing more then a company trying to make money on nissan owners vs the 4runner, I had a 720 pickup and the old 4runner which I have 2 today
I thing Eurasian Bob is great, but you say cool every 5 sentences.
