I live in Roseland and it makes me cry to see the kids already here living in poverty living in abandoned homes with no water and no heat. Its a real problem and isnt only in Roseland! Ive talked to these families who end up squatting in these vacant homes because they can't get any help. Shelters they were put in are riddled with roaches and bed bugs. I seen babies bitten from head to toe. I worked in a family shelter in 2018 ive seen the deplorable conditions they have these American children and families living in. Nobody cares about them. Its absolutely disgusting.
So many places in Chicago where that $51m could go far for their local tax base. Huge slap in the face imo. I hope they vote that down.

The biggest unknown problem is when Trump didn't fill the vacant positions at The Global Health Security and Biodefense unit. Not being prepared and not properly stationing virologists caused a huge disruption which led to the nationwide shutdown. Trump would've been able to do a lot of great things if he didn't allow for the Democrats to take advantage of that particular weakness.

Chicago is not the only state debating this situation!!! It's happening in my Hometown here in Massachusetts,New York As well as the rest of the north east!!! And everybody by now knows that The infamous deSantis governor of Florida immediately ordered a order in which it is now illegal to have migrants be given any kind of special privileges or any kind of financial funding!!! As well as any kind of special jobs,especially the ones they just had which now are empty all across the entire region of Florida!!! And now sadly has Passed a law in which had a backlash to the point where the deSantis is trying to figure out how to combat this situation...But indeed no one should cut in front of the line,because all must be treated equally Despite where you come from!!! And me personally,i have nothing against migrants!!! But I'm not going to have my tax Payers money be abused just because somebody came from another country with an excuse,knowing our country has too many issues and problems as it is!!!

51 million dollars of Chicago taxpayers' money to people who weren't even in the city until weeks ago, if not days. That money should be allocated to Chicago permanent residents - the elderly, disabled vets, homeless, single parents, struggling students, and the local police force. 51 million dollars of taxpayers' money they're just going to give away.
Give single PEOPLE with NO CHILDREN their money back. Our taxes go to support every darn person and entity and leave us almost penniless.
