- I am a huge lighting nut so it when it came time to get some proper lighting in the garage, I knew I had to do it right. Been a long time follower of Matt and knew he has exhausted the search in finding the best options out there. Decided to snag his 2 car garage solution and get them mounted up in the garage.

Your garage looks great! Good job. For some OCD people, paint your vacuum black to blend in with your other equipment. You can also utilize the space above your fridge. Put in a shelf or cabinet and store the vacuum or even your air compressor. Insulate the area if you put your compressor there to minimize noise. Enjoy your new space!
Love seeing what you're doing. I'm fortunate that with our house build I've been able to do a barndo style build and I'm going to have an attached shop. Taking inspirations from transformations like this, even if I have a larger space to fill/work with (and likely a smaller budget 😂).
Nice to achieve finally your dream garage ,lot of work and the full counter top will be beautiful !!!
Great lighting
Looking good
Thank you for the video
Now i want to redo my garage! haha looks great brother, keep it up!
Really appreciated this video. I just installed the same lights and ran into the exact same issue with the dimming and thinking I messed something up (they neglected to include the sheet that explains the function). Fortunately I found this before ripping all the wires apart! Garage looks great brother; I'm in the middle of a renovation as well - nothing like a proper setup 🍻
Glad I wasn’t the only one haha. Enjoy the lights! I am so happy I invested in them. Such a great amount of light. Any questions, lmk!
congrats my BROTHER
Glad to see the lights arived safely, your space is looking cleaner and cleaner every video!
Thanks Nick! Turned out better than expected.
Watching this at night “MY EYEEEES”
Since you are getting a new worktop, why not just get something that extends all the way to the wall? The first time something rolls off the beck and gets trapped on the ledge, you'll wish that gap wasn't there. Garage is looking great!
I thought of this and considered it but would make the outlet there unusable. I have a surge protector plugged in there and hidden behind the cabinets. If I extended the top all the way back I would need to figure out a new solution to route the surge protector plug.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Another idea, mount the surge to the side of the last upper cabinet so you have easier access to it? It's less "clean" there, but you could run cable track to the TV and whatever else needs power, paint the track harbor gray...
Or notch the new worktop with a small cutout that the surge can run through (or create a full wire pass through like desks have)?
Just some other ideas... It does make that wall a little messier though. What you have now is pretty clean with the surge immediately going down behind the cabinets.
Looks good. You should do a before and after. Different garage.
Yes I will be doing a full video of it from start to end
If you put the subwoofer under the freezer. And add the fridge between the two cabinets. Then add one long countertop I will look built in
And give you a little more counter space
I actually already ended up doing this with the sub. You’ll see it in the next video. As for another work top, that side needs to be open for my wife’s car. A table there wouldn’t allow the doors to open on the passenger side. The small fridge will be gone to free up more space.
@@Scoobyfreak86 no I was talking about under the tv wall for the fridge
The cabinet under the tv is as far as I can take it. If I brought anything over to the stairs, it would leave the walkway blocked to get to the cars. We park the telluride there and wouldn’t allow anyone to get through to the cars.
@@Scoobyfreak86 can’t it be backed in on the other side
It would push the cabinet too far over and block the path to get in and out of the house.
Is it too bright at times like when its night and you just need to go into the garage to grab something? Do you think i could get away with only 4 fixtures, i have the same size garage.
You can dim them to whatever % you want. But no I don’t find it too bright. 4 would not be enough as one part of the space would be unlit. 6 is the way to go.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I saw that part about the dimming, do you have to do that every time meaning if you dim them will they turn on dimmed by default the next time?
@s2kologist yes they default to 100% and would need to do that to dim them. However, you can just install a dimming switch to set it to where you want them.
@@Scoobyfreak86 thanks for the info and documenting the installation, very helpful.
Where are you sourcing the new tabletop. Those can get pricey.
I’ll show it all in a video when it arrives.
I NEED A M3 POV🗣️, It's my LIFE support 😭😭😭!
Haha getting back to the M3 videos shortly!
What brand are these fixtures?
I mentioned it in the video
Can’t say you never miss your STi 😢
Never
@@Scoobyfreak86 lol well that’s a good answer because it sucks to ever miss anything you’ve sold especially a car!
@@Scoobyfreak86 Outstanding work as always though!
Obsessed garage doesn’t make lights, do they?
They do not. They are from prime lights. OG found this solution and sells them.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I see. I think you said you bought them from him? He charges $20 more and charges for shipping?
Correct. Purchased from Matt. I value the source. Matt tried and tested many many options. He found them and came up with the solution. Honoring the source.
@@Scoobyfreak86he found them even though they were already available for sale at a lower price and with free shipping?
@@StewPedasoecorrect. They were about twenty bucks less along with free shipping which is the big kicker.
