I have to say, that your knife testing and review videos put all others "test/review" video's to shame. Having watched numerous other "test/review" videos on the BK2, I wasn't convinced or sold on the knife, but as a direct result of watching your test/review video on the BK2 and also your video on the BK9 I made my purchase of both knives, 4 knives in total; had to purchase one of each for my son as well. Honestly, when at the beginning of the video you started slashing at the hanging wood plank, I thought to myself..."Okay this guy is a wacko", but after watching your video to it's end, I have nothing but the highest regard for your presentation and your testing methods. Both my son and I are going to carry these knives with complete confidence knowing in advance what their capabilities are. Good work. Keep it up!
I am very glad that you appreciate the tests ! The slashing part was more of a handling test to be honest. I am totally in love with my Beckers, and the BK20 is my favorite ! More knife videos inbound :) Mayor Fuglycool
@@MayorFuglycools its funny how some people say stuff like this doesn't show what the knife can do and that this is just pure knife torture. Thats literally the point. I want to see how far a knife can be pushed to know how durable it can be. Yes i won't be doing pull ups with it or stabbing ammo cans, but its still very good way to test. BTW I think the ammo cans top is much more durable than the sides. So this was very impressive 👏
Thanks for this blade/knife testing series, Mayor Fuglycool. Because "you do this, so we don't have to." But we can note the results to understand what to trust, and what not to. Cheers.
+EdgeClimber Thank you so much for the support, and I am glad that my tests do shed some light on popular knives. Thanks for watching ! :) Mayor Fuglycool
+bob3326 It is pretty much the same knife, and I have enough problems buying knives to test them. Please remember that I don't make much money from these tests, and the knives either are donated for testing or bought with my own money. Mayor Fuglycool
I just meant some collectors pay good money for this serrated version as it's not easily acquired. I've seen it auction off for close to $300 for someone who really really wanted it in there older collection.
bob3326 Yes, I know that the serrated version is quite rare now a days. The guy who donated this knife for testing, said to push it to the limit. It's really hard for me to buy 2-3 knives a month, so I kind of have to rely on donations too :) Thanks for watching ! Mayor Fuglycool
Great test. It prooves without a shadow of a doubt that this thing could indeed field strip a Buick like Ethan said. A knife that will not let you down for sure.
+PureDWhiteCloud I love the becker series, they have all impressed me so far. Thanks for the response to the video, I really appreciate it ! Thanks for watching friend :) Mayor Fuglycool
Hi Mayor, very good review, one question- thickness as mentioned in Kabar website is 0.25 inches ; but your measure shows it below that , is it because you have old model or the size mentioned in Kabar website is an approximate one?
+Arun Kushwaha Yes, this is an older BK2, made by Camillus. The newer Kabar one is a little thicker, because of the ease of finding .25 inch steel stock. Thanks for watching ! Mayor Fuglycool
Mayor I enjoy watching just what you are doing to this knife makes me want to ball up in the fetal position, naked, on cold tile,in the middle of winter, in the bathroom corner an cry. Please stop abusing these poor defenseless knives.
+Jose Navarro Well, I have figured out what the audio problem is . The camcorder that I am using uses a "auto shutoff" feature that cuts out loud noises. I bought a new rode mic, and on the next video it will sound somewhat better. . . But I really need a DSLR camera to fully capture the sound. Thanks for watching :3)) Mayor Fuglycool
Very good test. that knife is very tough. also your edge retention test has alot of real life applications, I see people on your videos sometimes say that its unrealistic, but just the other day I accidentally struck a stone with my Storm Chaser 3 while clearing brush, albeit the Storm Chaser 3 isn't really mean't for clearing brush but I had forgot my Ka-bar at home and the Storm Chaser 3 was my only knife present. To my surprise the knife still holds a razor edge considering how hard I struck the stone. keep doing what you are doing man. very awesome test and great video. :)
Plisken X51mm Yeah, if a blade breaks it can really damage your hand or arm really bad. I recommend using kevlar material gloves when doing lots of chopping or slicing. Mayor Fuglycool
Only drawback I see is penetration on metal, the KBAR did a little better, But that is an Awesome survival Knife, Baton knife, camping knife, etc etc, the Kbar is maybe more of an all around knife would you say?
I have the Ka-Bar BK2 and love that knife so much and would not sell it as it is one of my favorites. I love the way it is built and what it can do for me in a combat, or bushcraft situation. I also have the Turok knife from Ka-Bar and it is a great knife also and one which will be with me until death. I can tell that you love abusing knives and I would not sell or give you one to have for that reason since I love my knives and others as well.
Firstly, why not redo the edge retention test if you think it wasn’t sharpened correctly. Secondly, why didn’t you sharpen it correctly if you were going to do a knife review?
Ha Ha cool story, this is the *Becker Campanion* not the Kabar BK2 version. This is the original BK2 blade design, Kabar took the dies when Camillus went bankrupt and used a thicker stock. The more you know :) Mayor Fuglycool
+no_good_namez Yes, I will get around to those soon. The OKC machete will be reviewed at some point in the future, still have a couple of knives in the line up before that one ;) Thanks for watching ! Mayor Fuglycool
Thanks youtube recomendations, i've never laughed so hard ....
"The tip will definitely last you a while" as he proceeds to stab through a double walled ammo can 😅 good stuff bro!

He is a wacko. Wackos make good knife reviews
You are a Feather stick God!! look at those curls!!!

Yoh i died laughing when you started slashing
Cool, I love to put on a good show :)
Mayor Fuglycool
the bk line has really impressed me.
+Jeremy Arant The BK series is impressive so far. Want to get to the BK9 at some point in time :)
Mayor Fuglycool
why use a version thats not commonly found anymore when regular bk2s are widely available?
+bob3326 It is pretty much the same knife, and I have enough problems buying knives to test them. Please remember that I don't make much money from these tests, and the knives either are donated for testing or bought with my own money.

I was thinking the same thing.
Here: safety first
At the slingshot channel: safety is boring
Great test. It prooves without a shadow of a doubt that this thing could indeed field strip a Buick like Ethan said. A knife that will not let you down for sure.
+Survival Solutions Thanks for watching the video, and I will have more becker knifes in the future :)
Mayor Fuglycool
Like your video!
Could you please make destruction test for new model KABAR Turok? What do you think about Turok durability?
Hello major , question : what is the best fixed blade for you ? Thanks you my friend!
Glock 81 fav knife :)
Mayor Fuglycool
The Mayor needs to host Forged In Fire instead of the new guy
I also own one of these knives but without the serrations.. You are now to me, the last word in knife quality.
+PureDWhiteCloud I love the becker series, they have all impressed me so far. Thanks for the response to the video, I really appreciate it ! Thanks for watching friend :)

Excelente faca meu amigo. Parabéns pelo vídeo .

Your videos are awesome! I recommend getting a mic that can be placed on your person so the audio can be improved. Keep out up!

I' was wanting this blade" but was concerned about the cutting & Penetration section..

Could we expect RAT 7 test?
That blade would be nice 1 1/2 inches longer.
Dude, please test the ESEE Junglass II!
I have the Ka-Bar BK2 and love that knife so much and would not sell it as it is one of my favorites. I love the way it is built and what it can do for me in a combat, or bushcraft situation. gerber lmf 2 vs becker bk 2?
Firstly, why not redo the edge retention test if you think it wasn’t sharpened correctly. Secondly, why didn’t you sharpen it correctly if you were going to do a knife review?
could you put measurements in millimeters too?
0:42 what was that? Dont do that again.
.250 common knowledge, and need your calipers tuned again.
Ha Ha cool story, this is the *Becker Campanion* not the Kabar BK2 version.
This is the original BK2 blade design, Kabar took the dies when Camillus went bankrupt and used a thicker stock.
The more you know :)
Mayor Fuglycool
Is the bk2 made by Camillus or ka bar I'm confused now
The serrated bk2 was made by camillus
It’ll sharpen right up!!!
mayor test of bk7
The gen2 is better than gen1.
Gah! I was cringing the entire time, but thank you.
I think your tests are very affective. Try testing a buck knife sometime and keep testing knives for the brick apocalypse. 😀
You should try the current model. The thickness is .250
It's called Vanadium, not vanium
+Vlad Popovici Would love to see at least one of your knife reviews.

Okc military machete and or Kabar bk7
+no_good_namez Yes, I will get around to those soon. The OKC machete will be reviewed at some point in the future, still have a couple of knives in the line up before that one ;)

Do you have an opinion or a test for a big folder as though as the Becker BK series
Mike Studebaker
I will test folders soon :)
