I had not seen this watch from Ciga Design before. Most of their watches are copies of other models, not too much originality there. But this, this is something else. This one is beautifully executed. Taking into consideration the price point, I think it's AWESOME!
I love my Z series but that's 250 quid. The finishing would have to be a lot better for that price and I would want a map of the Northern hemisphere as a option.

I think this is somewhat a different design direction from a microbrand. But the watch itself is just an IKEPOD case, with some Omega Worldtimer, Montblanc 1858 Geosphere. But definitely a way better execution than the ugly Seiko Wn-1. The case finish could be a lot better. Chinese-made watches are usually very well finished for the price, this one isn't. And I don't understand the "polished" parts on top of the terrain, makes it feel "cheap".
And it's limited to 50 pieces. So the fact that it costs 1500 is meaningless. When the supply is less than many million dollar watches its scarcity makes it just as attainable.

Im not really sure but i think xiaomi owns Ciga Design and they do cool things and others not so much. I have one o their watches (the one that looks a little bit like an apple wacth) and only use it when I cant wear a nicer piece for security or something. Honestly, is a really good watch for the price (150 usd), gets a lot of attention cause of the skeleton design. Would I pay 1000 for a Ciga watch, nope, never, simply cause you can get something better for that money (my opinion). Nevertheles is good to see cool watches coming from different places, the bigger the offer the better for us.

I just purchased a Series R Denmark Rose Mechanical watch for my wife. She likes flower but find them wasted when they die, fake flower feels lacking from my POV. An automatic watch seems like a great flower.

only reason i'm not buying: only Asia displayed on the Dial. i know they build the Watch there, so here's a tribute, but It must be avaiable in Europe and Americas Dial versions. Excellent addttion to watch collectionneur's treasury, nevertheless how expensive are his showpieces. For everyday use, however, I would pick up something in this price range from Oris, Doxa, Tag Heuer or other independent Swiss houses.

Didn't know that "our whole world" is just few countries around Indian Ocean. I guess this watch is perfect for few pirates living off Madagascar, or those guys with big wallets in India, Bangladesh and Philippines.
At $1500 IMHO it is a bit overpriced. The design is unique but the finishing isn't comparable to other watches in this tier. The crystal really could use a better AR coat, and it should be much better decorated. Not to mention the movement is pretty much unknown and new. How would maintenance be, how much would it cost?

The compass, being the centerpiece to draw your eye in order to read the time...could us a bit more attention to detail.

Your correct ciga is owned by xiaomi. I believe they mention it somewhere on their website.

I just purchased a Series R Denmark Rose Mechanical watch for my wife. She likes flower but find them wasted when they die, fake flower feels lacking from my POV. An automatic watch seems like a great flower.

too big, no anti-reflective on glass. 15 to 18 percentage off currently at amamzon. Very cool design though, definately a conversation starter.

only reason i'm not buying: only Asia displayed on the Dial. i know they build the Watch there, so here's a tribute, but It must be avaiable in Europe and Americas Dial versions. Hope they update but they won't. nothing against Asia, but It would be a greater concept if anyone could see their location on the Dial.

Excellent addttion to watch collectionneur's treasury, nevertheless how expensive are his showpieces. For everyday use, however, I would pick up something in this price range from Oris, Doxa, Tag Heuer or other independent Swiss houses.

After reading tons of reviews about Ciga, I decided it's best to see the red flags and ignore the company. It's not worth the money.
Didn't know that "our whole world" is just few countries around Indian Ocean. I guess this watch is perfect for few pirates living off Madagascar, or those guys with big wallets in India, Bangladesh and Philippines.

At $1500 IMHO it is a bit overpriced. The design is unique but the finishing isn't comparable to other watches in this tier. The crystal really could use a better AR coat, and it should be much better decorated. Not to mention the movement is pretty much unknown and new. How would maintenance be, how much would it cost?
