Barry new to your channel but as a mechanic I would highly recommend you carry some Wurth Pipe Sealant for any threaded connections (Better than Loctite PTFE), Some Loctite 515 Gasket maker (You would be amazed at how that stuff can get you out of trouble and seal most things) and some RTV Silicone. After going back and watching all your troubles with Mr Perkins adding these to your stores would greatly help. Thanks for your videos love the channel!
I WISH I WAS IN AUSTRALIA! Been there many times and it's where my heart is. (Hate the UK winter!) I've even got a big bottle of Bundy rum somewhere...... :)
all crustaceans are just underwater invertebrates. Under water bugs. Lobster, shrimp, crabs.........all bugs. Perhaps that is why the Christian bible tells us it is a sin to eat seafood.
Another great video Barry 👍 ... love the way you speak directly to each and every one of us through the camera. You're just like one of my family now! Safe travels
"The Barry Way." Might make a good title for your memoir your solo circumnavigation of this blue dot in space. Nice video Barry! They can say what they may, but you floated your boat your way.
Capt'n Barry .. Thanks for another real time look into your ongoing adventure .. I look forward to each .. I think the Captain's "cut" is a good, crisp look for every adventurer .. Thanks, and stay well ..
Hi there Salty Sea Dog, from where you currently call home. Thank god, you are on the water again so to speak, in your last video I watched you were contemplating stopping your cercunaveargating our gorgeous home ( Sea ) all-together. Because of a little storm ? Sourly nothing that you or Shady could not handle. Yes truely a storm that would have put the shits up any normal seaman or sailor. However there is the sea dog and Shady. Kind respectful regards Terry.
A fridge left unguarded in Australia would cause a riot 🙂It's said that once there was at one time more pubs in Bundaberg, per capita than any other town in Australia. One church on every intersection and three pubs. Hope you're heading south Barry.
Another great video Barry. By the way, the "bugs" are slipper lobster. They are quite delicious, pretty much like other lobster (crayfish down under). Definitely worth checking out.
Your living the dream I wish I could, Barry. Love your videos. You scared the daylights out of me in The Storm Video when you decided to run for the Marina, every fiber of my being was screaming "No! No! This is no time to be close to land. Turn tail and run to open seas, drop you sails and ride it out." I was beyond relieved when you were rescued.
Love your videos Barry. You really should try eating a Morton Bay bug or a Balmain Bug both the same thing. They are very much like lobster. If you like lobster you will love bugs.
As always I love watching your videos, that dog was really funny 😂 ps my friend loves them too, you’re just amazing 😮 by the way I am 74 years young 😊and still going strong hey that reimed- I am a Danish girl living here in Switzerland sorry about the bad spelling 😅 take care all the best 🍀🍀🍀
That is exactly how I rig my snubber line. Same hook as well. I run mine through the bow spit for the anchor chain, so the boat doesn’t yaw. Tried it through both sides but it encourages more swinging about.
I started backing out of the slip once and the boathad almost no propulsion . Once i kinda drifted into the channel it started getting worrisome . I finally fill throttle in forward and yhe boat jumped . A large black garbage bag came up in the prop wash . The bag had fouled the prop !
I enjoyed that immensely. I've never been to Australia. I know what it's like to have a keel dragging in the mud, though my little boat has a shallower draught (long keel). As we say in France - "Bon vent" and a safe passage to wherever you're going.
Hey Barry! Another fantastic video packed with valuable information. Your explanations on snubbers, bowlines, and dead kittens were clear and easy to follow. It's always a bit sad when your videos end because they are such a treat to watch. Can't wait for the next hour-long blockbuster! By the way, it's awesome to see you exploring new sailing grounds. Keep up the great work and remember, never give up on your dreams! Stay safe and fair winds, my friend. Oh, and your sea captain's haircut and beard look top-notch!
I may be wrong but I think the dead cat mic is stereo, two microphones. So, I think they should be orientated perpendicular to the source, not pointing at the source for better separation.
I like your simple snubber Barry, I think I'll do that myself. I've actually just been using one of my dock lines and tying a magnus hitch around the chain. But I've been meaning to get some 3 strand and make a snubber.
Love your attitude towards the modern way of doing things. If it works, it’s fine. Keep them coming Barry. If we don’t get another chance, Merry Christmas Barry. Peace and good will my friend. Stay safe
Barry, you got your ears lowered! Very handsome. Glad to see you’re doing better.
The floppy camera bit properly made me laugh out loud 😂😂

Barry look like you lost some
Weight looking good brother … love the hair cut too
One thing i really like about you Barry, you do it your way, its whatever works, there's no set way in life.
I WISH I WAS IN AUSTRALIA! Been there many times and it's where my heart is. (Hate the UK winter!)
I've even got a big bottle of Bundy rum somewhere...... :)
We can’t wait to get back home to Australia either
Barry the bugs are better than dry scrubby lobsters, garlic butter and cream salt and pepper to taste, love it.
2.4 m = 7.87 Feet. Another great one. You are our inspiration.

good to see the barnet's been tidied up Barry.

Your sailboat is my favorite ever
His steerage leaves a tidy trail. He talks to sea fowl and he keeps his dingy clean. What's not to like. Thanks Mate.
Hey good looking...nice haircut and shave😉
See that you've had your ears lowered Barry, looking sharp & smart.
Hey Barry... glad to see Bundaberg got you out of that Gale and safe... good reporting on your next adventure... Fair Winds...
Aaaahhh - you _did_ get a haircut! You look 15 years younger, Barry.
And thanks for another interesting video!

Hi there Salty Sea Dog, from where you currently call home.

Love the videos! There was a handsome old seadog under that hair!!
Nice to things working in your favor,go Barry 😊
That pirate ship is called naturius, they do tours through it at different places as they get around
The dog is like looking up at you out of the corner of his eyes 🤣
A fridge left unguarded in Australia would cause a riot 🙂It's said that once there was at one time more pubs in Bundaberg, per capita than any other town in Australia. One church on every intersection and three pubs. Hope you're heading south Barry.
Heard the same, was like most towns really but heard bundy was popular busy.
Marine Traffic reports that White Shadow is currently located at NAUS - Timor Sea (reported 29 days, 3 hours ago).
You're looking better than ever... knew you would get back out there.
I miss our time in Bundaberg. Fair winds my friend. Best wishes Dingo
watched some of your earlier clips when you ought Shaddy .... yup yer were slimmer looks like the good life reflects
You're going to love Fraser Island!... keep a good eye on your depth gauge though.... and do go ashore to do a 4x4 trip. The whole island is stunning.
Great new haircut. Happy sailing
Barry youre gold
Pure Gold !!
I'm glad to see the old Sea Dog got a hair cut... he was looking a bit caveman there for a bit
Love the video Amigo!
Barry good show as always, so glad to see you out on the water again. And with a proper sea captain's haircut and beard, no less!
Nice haircut …..looking smart now ! 😊
🐕BEER!!!....so funny!!
Looking sharp, Barry!
Love the new haircut !!! Lookin snazzy
I have a gun mic inside a Blimp that has a "Dead Wombat" on the outside, which totally eliminates wind noise!
Fix your depth finder. 👍
"Ruach"...Hebrew for "Breath" or "Wind." Lovely!
Glad to seeing you getting back into it.
Hi Barry so glad youre out to sea again. I also hate when your video is over. Look forward to the one. Looking good ❤
Another great video Barry. By the way, the "bugs" are slipper lobster. They are quite delicious, pretty much like other lobster (crayfish down under). Definitely worth checking out.
Thank god for the haircut Barry.
Nice tribbles for the microphone! I've come across those before somewhere....

2.4m draft? Nearly 8'? wow!
God Bless ya Barry good to see you safe and well.
Glad to see yer gonna go back on the Water👍 Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy 😎
Love your videos Barry. You really should try eating a Morton Bay bug or a Balmain Bug both the same thing. They are very much like lobster. If you like lobster you will love bugs.
It's the housing project for boats!!!
Brilllllliant Barry - thanks for sharing ⛵️ 👍
Can’t believe you didn’t try the bugs! They’re gorgeous!! A bit like lobster. Moreton Bay bugs are the best.
Ahhh where sailing NANDJI started.
"They look like dead aliens'
😂😂😂😂

Nice place to live~

Good haircut at last, my boy thought you were Sean Connery (well he said the dude from the Russian Submarine).
I started backing out of the slip once and the boathad almost no propulsion . Once i kinda drifted into the channel it started getting worrisome . I finally fill throttle in forward and yhe boat jumped . A large black garbage bag came up in the prop wash . The bag had fouled the prop !
Nice editing dude. Adventure is the most important & the goal. Now get back out there.
Nice hair cut.
Love your channel Barry. Sail on Shadow!
I enjoyed that immensely. I've never been to Australia. I know what it's like to have a keel dragging in the mud, though my little boat has a shallower draught (long keel). As we say in France - "Bon vent" and a safe passage to wherever you're going.
Nice one Baz
Great video!
FYI the purpose of a snubber is for strainer Relief. Sheets and halyards don't stretch. Try a 3 strand and you will be amazed at the difference

I love Brupeg and I think Janet from life on the hulls might have been involved with your rescue. Just love the boating community.
Good to see you moving again Barry, that storm was bound to shake you up for a while, stay safe..
That was a very enjoyable episode, Sail On Old Sea Dog.🙋
Glad you got to see Brupeg. Have just stumbled across them and wondered if you were both up at Bundy at the same time.
We were both on the hard at the same time. Got to know Barry well. Bloody nice bloke! Dame and Jess
I may be wrong but I think the dead cat mic is stereo, two microphones. So, I think they should be orientated perpendicular to the source, not pointing at the source for better separation.
I think the chain hook should be connected to the snubber with a thimble eye at the end of the snubber, not a shackle around a loop.
Fantastic, thank you for sharing Barry!

I love your videos Barry. Always interesting, great editing and I never fast forward. With you all the way.
Glad you got a haircut mate. Cooler!
good chat with dog made his day lol , good advice for microphone i always tell people to do the same, when you in the UK?
Thank goodness for the haircut
Good to have you back en route to another adventure, stay safe
Love your attitude towards the modern way of doing things. If it works, it’s fine. Keep them coming Barry. If we don’t get another chance, Merry Christmas Barry. Peace and good will my friend. Stay safe
2.4 meters = 7.87402 feet. That is a deep keel !
Hope you come to Western Australia
Nice video
