Way to go with the kite surfing Glory! I squealed in excitement for you when you stood up! Also, I got unnecessarily excited at Jack’s Tim Hawkin’s “This is the worst” reference 😂 I love that clip!
Well impressed with Jack 🌟 he is a warrior! Good looking, brilliant at kite surfing, and mentally strong. I felt so anxious watching him swim to check that anchor in that rough sea, then hooking dinghy to boat in choppy sea again, what a strong lad, bravo 👏
When I started remodeling my parents kitchen I knew NOTHING about electrical, sheetrock, or even painting. 6 months later (planned on doing it in a month😂) I was amazed at how much you can learn just by watching tutorials on UA-cam. Hell I even moved an exterior door and built a deck. You just have to dive in and do it. Permitting was the only giant pain in the ass.
@zariballard for the deck I built off the door I moved because I had to build it 5 feet off the ground. The plan was to keep it under 2 feet so it didn't have to be permitted. But it just didn't look right once it was drawn up. Oh yeah, and I removed a wall in between the kitchen and the living room.
Keith, when AC Motors start, they have an inrush current that typically is 2 to 3 times the normal operating current. The soft-start reduces the inrush current for a “soft” start. Around homes these are used for air conditioning compressors and pool pumps.
I see a common theme in a number of posts. I agree, big kudos to Jack. An amazing young man. I think it's good to see "the good and rough side" of the lifestyle. You are all pros at this. Great job... Great video... Loved the captions you added throughout.
It is always a pleasure to see how elegant your interior design is. Such beautiful woodwork. A really beautiful boat. You havean an amazing family and life.
I absolutely LOVE the drone footage of the kite surfing! Please more of this type of footage and lots of underwater dive footage when you get to the Caribbean.
LOVE Glory getting the big air experience on Jack's back - that was both incredible to see but also I could just feel Glory's excitement and amazement. Good job Jack!!! and Glory!!!
My 4 legged buddy and I have enjoyed watching you all grow on th water. There is such depth to ALL the different content...its as easy to write a serious comment as to write a more lighthearted one. I have found kefir ... my internal alarm has always been set at 5am from th farm life to the barracks life to long haul and now to being retired But this kefir puts a new spring in my step. Where am I going w this? It is a true joy AND inspiration to see the growth in all of you. You've become so toned and confident at play on th water. When I bought my home, th gym gave way to home ownership and never ending remodel. You inspire me to find balance...not as easy as you might think. I've had to us a buzz collar (I never use schock mode) on Blake so not to bark and jump in to save you folks from jumping off cliffs and into ocean...no joke...its working BUT this morning, As soon as he heard your theme song he started barking. Now, after 3 barks I can say enough. LOL Keep writing songs. Keep throwing flips. Keep changing the world; one video at a time...one person ar a time and Renee', hand th cam to somebody else, make some splash and let that anxiety float away. 😉 ain't nobody goin' ta let nothin' happen to ya. (I lost count of double negatives...I think I landed on a positive. LOL) Keith, phew... What a Legacy. ...following seas to y'all
Loving the new little extras in the editing, the extra girls bring a smile to Kate’s day, and the boys will be enjoying the dynamics also. Finn’s music is a great edition to your channel so we don’t hear the usual UA-cam endorsed junk🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺
Your whole family is truly a very talented gangle of warm hearted humanitarians! I want to personally thank you for sharing your journey with us! I consider myself blessed for finding your channel some 2+ years ago. Be safe and God Bless your family and all your crew that are lucky to be part of your family when on board.
Another brilliant episode... I'm glad you guys showed that its not always easy life on the water. Hats off to Jack( I'm sure he is not the only one worked hard)
I'm literally crying as I watch now and then when you all started out on your cruising journey.. how young the kids were.. reminds me of my daughter when she was that young.. now she's 18.. it's so bitter sweet to watch our children grow up.
You’re so fortunate to have the extra help onboard. I think you would struggle if it were just the two of you on board in situations like this. Safe travels.
Jack definitely has a future in yachting if he so chooses. He could do all the deck positions today and get his captain's license in a few years. Maybe he should be on "Below Deck" as a crew member?
Keith & Renee, who were you guys as young people your kids’ ages? Or young adults in your 20’s? Have pics and stories you want to share? I’m curious how you evolved into the fearless, really talented and interesting people you are today.
Way to go Glory!! Very good tips from Keith- plant heel and toes up!! I am seriously amazed you did not move, Keith your gut feeling is very rarely wrong. Am really happy to hear Finn's tunes for background as well, nice work
Keith, me being a retired Electronic Tech at a University of New Mexico have a great tip for you when doing stuff with screws. Use a magnet to hold all removed screws or the sticky side of some tape. Magnetize your screwdriver tip.
New Mexico is obviously a long way from the Ocean. in salt water environment most electrical fittings , connectors panel screws on terminals, wood screws etc are 316 Stainless Steel, so magnetizing your screwdriver does not work because 316 SS is non magnetic.
That was crazy anchorage. I am so impressed by Glory! Everybody else on the boat is experienced sailors. She fits in like been doing it forever and really knowing very little! Would never know it though! She just goes with the flow like its normal for her. Wow!! If she has been seasick, would never know?
Hey Keith, I'm sure you have heard of the Orcas in the Straight of Gibraltar, but just wanted to let you know the Orcas sank a sailboat off Tangier on Oct 31st. Not sure why they are targeting sailboats, but attack the rudders and tear them off. I think you are working your way to Gibraltar soon, so keep the crew (family) on alert! Safe travels!
yes, that anchorage can be gnarly! We left there twice during the night because of such waves rolling in. Good luck with the orca's near the strait, I'll be saying a prayer for you to leave you alone.
That component you installed Kieth is very similia to something called a Hard Start Capacitor. Used on Split 240v A/C systems especially on older units where a high voltage draw is needed to kick these compressors older over. I've installed hundreds. Kudo brother for getting in there and getting down and dirty !!
Putting jack in a rear naked choke while kiteboarding. Let's see how long it takes before he passes out. haha Everyone is getting so much better and my man Keith can get some real air.
We're taking a transatlantic cruise home for the holidays, and we just saw that our cruise is going to pass you tonight, we think. Anyway, so cool to know we're in the neighborhood of your vessel. Hope to bump into sometime on our travels! Take care and enjoy the journey! John & Bev
The waves and current was crazy. I saw that monohull next you bobbing like a cork! I'm not sure if I could have endured how much it was rolling! The was awesome seeing Jack and I think it was Glory dbl on the kite and flying!
This episode is amazing! I just had my most successful day of kiting yet, and there was so much kiting in this one! You guys are awesome and keep doing all the amazing things you guys do!
Been there. . .Skipper anxiety. . .you don’t really want to move, but that little voice is chatting with you. . .I’ve been in this position more times than I care to recall, rarely did I end up moving, but stayed up all night, and a couple times ran the engine at dead slow to take some weight off the anchor.
Keith fixing, repairing, or replacing something...video is complete! 👍 Nice kiting shots! Glory got the hang of it pretty quick. And the whole piggybacking thing 😱😱😱...looked amazing. "Into every life a little bumpy anchorage may fall", or something like that 😉

Wow Renee your cool skills are way up there. I would have freaked out but you were cool enough to film it. A testament to your faith in Keith and Jack. Boat life is tough. I live it but you ace it!!

Jack's got the man appearance since 12mths ago. Good mono v cat comparison @ 14:45. Nice tunes Finn

YOU SHOULD PAINT A SMALL ROCK HUNTER ORANGE AND SET IT NEXT TO THE ANCHOR EACH TIME YOU FIRST CHECK THE ANCHOR. That way, each subsequent check, you have a visible marker to tell you for sure if your anchor is dragging or not.
And bring it with you when you leave. So we don't have a bunch of orange rocks all over the bottom of the oceans .
Bet when you even have the need to check whether you’re dragging or not, the currents will probably sweep away such a little stone or it will be buried
a small independent anchor with a balloon so you won't lose it. Attach a Geocache to it and it's also a game.
