    I had Graves autoimmune disease and was able to get off medication after I switched to a Whole Foods plant based diet following the Medical Medium Thyroid Healing book. I no longer have Graves. On this video, he said he doesn’t think you can get off medication if you have Graves. I was able to do it. Within one month of Whole Foods plant based diet, my doctor had to reduce my medication. Within 3-4months, I was completely off medication and my thyroid numbers were back to normal. My thyroid numbers continue to stay normal since March 2020 as I’ve stayed on this plant based lifestyle.

      I have graves as well and was able to cure it with food, anti inflammatory herbs, and exercise. I also have vitiligo, thryois eye disease, and lichen planus. I was able to cure the TED too. But when I moved to the US everything went downhill with the acidic foods I ate. Now I'm back on my journey to wellness.

    Thank you so much for posting this video. Eight months ago I was diagnosed with Graves' disease. The endocrinologist gave me three options, drugs, RAI or surgery. I didn't want to go down that route without trying a natural approach with diet and stress management first. There aren't many videos like this out there but I'm so glad I found this one. It took me 8 months without medication to get my thyroid numbers into the normal range. I feel great. I too adopted a wfpb diet with no gluten, no dairy and no sugar. I also supplemented with Selinium, Vitamin D, Omega 3 and magnesium. I also managed stress through hypnosis, reiki and homeopathy. Thank you again for helping to give me hope that this could be achieved and that I could save my thyroid.

      Yes, I was told the same thing but my doctor told me that a lifestyle change nor a diet change would not make a difference in my condition. She recommended that radiation iodine treatment and told me the same thing about becoming Hypothyroidism and on medication for the rest of my life! Not Happening, I am on a 21 day or longer sugar cleanse and cleaning up my diet. I have always eaten clean and healthy food under my control at home; however, I have been eating out a lot lately with family and friends at restaurant and events which have outweighed my healthy lifestyle. Therefore, I am getting back to my regular routine clean diet. I don’t eat red meat and I am leaning towards more Salmon wild caught, and doing what it takes to turn this diagnose around and put it in remission for good. I completely hope that my numbers go into the normal range so that I not taking any medication. Thanks for sharing, it sounds very much like my situation. 😊

I started weak BUT I gained my weight slowly.. just do it slowly and never give up... now I'm in my 4th year going to the gym. I'm 86kg and I don't feel weak.. I have build muscles and for 4years I stopped my medications... and I'm miles healthier than some of my friends getting radio active iodine treatment... my advice is just if you fall down just keep bouncing up... and lastly I'm a lot physically stronger to those people who never got hyperthyroidism...

      I was just diagnosed today and I am really ticked off about it. The doctor prescribed 3 medications for me to take. AUGH! The doctor knew absolutely nothing about supplements and deficiencies. She thought that hyperthyroidism is spontaneous (total lie) I did some research and hyperthyroidism is linked to a Vitamin D3 deficiency from what I read from a few medical studies. I bought 50,000 iu of D3 (which is what was prescribed to me last year, but it was D2, not D3) to take once a week because my level is still low. I'll have blood work done often to keep an eye on the progress and I also bought Vitamin K2 and Magnesium (to make sure I absorb the Vitamin D3.
      It's worth doing the research and having your Vitamin D levels checked and see if your doctor will prescribe D3 for you. We're NOT stuck with this mess. It CAN be reversed. There is hope. There are a lot of videos and articles on the subject including other ways to heal your thyroid.
      May your journey be successful in getting well and staying well. 🙏

    • @SS40-nah
      @SS40-nah 3 роки тому +3

      @@Risheei Yes. Have your doctor look at TSH, Reverse T3, T3 and T4. I am still doing more research and I realized that there could also be an intestinal issue going on which can cause hyper/hypo thyroidism. See if your doctor can do a Candida Albican overgrowth test, Small Bacterial Overgrowth test and an Increased Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut) test. There are probably other tests out there as well, but I'm not sure. I found out that for me the onset of hyperthyroidism was due to the gut issues mentioned earlier. The diet in this video is really good and adding organic, grassfed, NON Gmo meat is fine. Take a look at Amy Myers You Tube Channel. She is a medical doctor (who switched to Functional Medicine) that had Graves Disease. But she got rid of the disease through a programs she developed first hand. I noticed that thyroid issues is a layered issue with the gut for a lot of people...not every person. But it's a great place to start.

    I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism with severe palpitations which previously took me to see 3 cardiologists who all told me to take sedatives to relax 😌 making me even more frustrated and anxious cos i felt thats not the issue. The thing i want to point out here is to never rely only on 2 hormones TSH and FT4 cos in my case they were normal and yet i wasnt feeling well. Finally a Dr with common sense checked my FT3 hormone and it was way high, so i did have hyperthyroidism. Thanks to this wonderful doctor who was reluctant to give me any medication, my levels dropped and are near normal. I feel better too. We just waited 2 months 2 check ups and no.iodine consumption. Check all 4 hormones and wait it out, medications for this are horrible and for life.

Ended up Celiac within a year, terrible symptoms, joint pain, could not digest raw veggies at all just awful bloating and gas. reduced diet to only cooked veggies plus gluten free baked goods along with meat, dairy, eggs and felt okay. Separated from my ex a year ago and just quit veggies and fruit and grains. Eat only animal foods and feel ten years younger, turning 50 next year but have the physique of 20 year old me and the most strength and stamina of my entire life so far. Interesting. Been vegan since May 2016 and have had Hypo for over 10 years. Early in 2019 I went to my endocrinologist and she asked me if I was doubling up on my synthroid. Told her I wasn't, but I don't think she believed me. However, she did lower my meds accordingly. But the fun part was the following visit my results stood true to the previous visit and she did NOT adjust my dosage back up.. I just smiled to myself and have continued on down the vegan road.

    My take from this story is that Ms Sax had mild
    hyperthyroidism which was detected during a routine blood test. In her situation, her approach was the right one, refusing immediate drastic measures like thyroid ablation with radioactive Iodine. For those reading this comment, who have overt hyperthyroidism with symptoms including a pounding heart, a high pulse rate, tremor, and agitation, you need emergency treatment. Your physician will probably have you take antithyroid medication. Without treatment you could have a thyroid storm or thyrotoxic crisis which is a life threatening condition.

      Potatoes are plants. Slice them up and fry them in a skillet. Add onions and eat with Guacamole.
      Beans are plants. Make a 5 bean salad, add red onion and red, yellow and green peppers - you'll be stuffed and you're not going to lose weight 😁👍 or, dip Apple slices in Cashew, Almond or Hazlenutbutter, or peanut Butter. Just make sure there is no sugar added.
      Dip carrot sticks into hummus. Or, even better, raw sweet potatoes - super delicious and healthy!
      All these things are filling. I gained 10 lbs (well, I had some help from bread and sugar)

    Got put on synthroid 26 years ago when I gave birth to my daughter. I Generally take 100-112 mg of it. However this month I took a trip to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack and they took my blood and said I didn’t have a heart attack hmmm asked if they could check my TSH levels low and behold it is .27 LOW. My doc just lowered my meds to 88 mg. Apparently under active thyroid can cause panic attacks making you think it’s a heart attack. I now have to wonder why I went from under active to over active and where do I go from here? I hate the heart palpitations and feeling like my head is Gonna blow off my head at times with pressure, hair loss and fatigue. Does this sound like something you have ever worked with? Maybe I should get off altogether and see what happens. I am a retired cop so yes lots of stresses along with kids. I’m so confused at the moment. Oh and low blood pressure. Only new thing I have done is the covid vaccine!

    • @kalimbasessions
      @kalimbasessions 2 роки тому

      I also just had my covid vaccine. Four days after the vax, my bp just went really high. 181/110. I went to a neuro and told her my bp abruptly goes high within 10mins from normal. She asked me to take beta-blockers and asked me to do laboratory too. Results came back, low TSH and high FT4. 😢
      I went to an endocrinologist and she is suspecting toxic goiter. I really do not what's going to happen next. I am most of the time feeling so exhausted. I wanted to sleep but cannot get it, my heart sometimes palpitates but not that much anymore after methimazole, I am on a low sodium and low sugar diet as well. I eat raw carrots everyday. I am thinking I better make some carrots juice than eating raw. I am still adjusting and learning new ways to cook most veggie foods.
