    honestly...the quality of your videos are perfect. i love how you post ones with your voice and then the instrumentation. Also the guiding dots are AMAZING (i usually lose my focus when doing warm ups but i love staring at the dots and they help me not mess up)

    A very good and useful project. You have placed a good deal of important knowledge in these videos. I'm using _The Musician's Guides_ that I bought on eBay. Yet, they are a difficult way to learn outside of the classroom, as I am doing, without the help of someone like you who took the time to place the knowledge online. Thank you.

    One thing that I though this teacher did well was including instrumental music in her exercises. I feel like that really helps students to better internally process the notes they are to sing. Another thing that she did well was explaining that it is not ideal to mimic her particular sound. After all, all sounds are unique.
    One thing that left a bit to be desired, however, was the sound quality on high notes. It sounded a tad breathier the higher she went. Another thing that she could have watched more closely was how hard she was landing on the notes at times. It sounded a bit pushed in the lower range.
    Overall, great job!

    • @TheSingingSchool
      @TheSingingSchool  4 роки тому +1

      Naga taste buds Yes! In my opinion, you should practice taking your natural voice as high as is comfortable at least half the time, but then feel free to switch to falsetto on higher notes or even every other exercise. Falsetto is a completely acceptable singing register in many genres of music, from classical to popular music and all sorts of things in between. So feel free to practice using it!

    • @TheSingingSchool

      Walter Lopes It’s totally fine. Over time and practice, you just want to learn how to control when you use your falsetto. But go for it!

      You'll learn how to attack the high notes by jumping OVER them. Rather that trying to force your voice UP into the note. Make sense? Music major in ed.

    I haven't tried this one yet, but what if you can do the ee sound all the way through the higher pitch, would that be fine? I know it says feel free to switch to ah, but I just wanted to double check to make sure that my understanding is precise.

    • @TheSingingSchool
      @TheSingingSchool  6 років тому

      daisyduck1097 Yes, totally fine to sing we all the way up. It just depends on your personal vocal range and comfort.
