As far as I understand, invasive species do not grow so easily. These species are somehow introduced by the invasive practices of human beings. One more example is the linking of rivers may also cause invasive species to threaten other fishes in the water.
It is not always necessary, sometimes birds or other animals becomes responsible for introduction of new and invasive species by carrying fruits, seeds etc knowingly or unknowingly.
As someone live in the adjacent boundary of three great reserve forest, Wayanad Mudumalai and Badipur within a radius of 10kms, we can confirm there is another species of plant that has already took over the major undergrowth and preventing grass and other shurb growth.... But this one is only prominent on the muthanga region of Wayanad and litte near Gundelpet... The other one is spread all around Mudumalai Wayanad Bandipur and even in Tolpetti forest...
Invasive species can be introduced by humans or migrating fauna. These invasive are no harm to humans or other animals directly. But they do affect the environment we live in. They have the potential of making a furtile land into a barren. Concerned officials must take the issue seriously, at least ecologists study the probable danger and let everyone know about it.

There is no such thing as an invasive species. Nobody assigned real estate boundaries to anything. Life grows everywhere and spreads where it can. The trees that are native to an area were not there at some point in time. So when they started growing, they should also be considered as an invasive species at that time. Different species of life come and go in an area. It is human short sightedness to classify life as native or invasive. Just look at the Galapagos Islands. Different species of tortoises evolved and grew in those islands but they were originally from one island. So would we call the spread as invasive? And all life is competitive. Resources are always limited. Those who can acrue resources better than their peers will survive better. We are not gods to assign certain area to each species.
dumb statement...there is something endemic species, which have to grow in that particular region itself.. it'll simply not grow in other places unless planted by humans .
All r talking saying invasive species but don't forget to Charles Darwin. It is the race of fittest ... survival of the Fittest. So they also have same rights as others plants have. So stop descriminating to these plants as it is our habits being a human. 😊😊😊
Invasive species means it came there because of human activities. The plant couldn't have got in this condition without humans. That's an unfair advantage in their evolution. So by uprooting it, we're trying to even things up.
