I didn't even think about that! But you're so right, Lamar and Rob were so close, and tht was when Lamar was using drugs heavily and on a regular basis. Also rob could've been using with him, and once Lamar almost died could've affected rob to quit himself and he never found good ways to cope. Regardless of what really went down w rob during that time, I know for a fact he felt like he couldn't go to Kris about it!!! She's a manager not a mom
I remember that is when Rob got really heavy and Khloe had pics taken of herself in a bathtub full of candy, m&m`s I think.......All the people I know who have been heroin addicts say that sugar, cake, candies, donuts etc.... taste amazing when your high...... I think Rob got strung out and Khloe had to hid it from everyone, then Lamar spun out of control. Those years were sooooooooooo shady. I think there are very dark stories that could be told and Rob especially feels a whole ton of shame because I think it was soul crushing for him. I really have always thought this.
Id rather have a solid family that I am COMFORTABLE with and can TALK to about hard times than money any day!! And remember Kris was the one who wanted this more than any of the kids. She wanted a circus for tv, not a family, it shows.
Another thing that sucks on top of being a victim of sexual assault, is the wrong story coming out and having to re explain yourself in such a fact that people flip flop on believing you.... Stay strong jen and all of us survivors 💕

It's frustrating too because there's the expectation for the victim to have their 'story' 100% word-for-word perfect. Any kind of misspoken word or slight delineation by the victim is taken as evidence of lying. In my experience, when a person has experienced terrible trauma, it's not reasonable to expect that person to remember every awful detail.
@@bweb6 there shouldn't be a checklist for the way a victim talks/explains... Every person handles trauma differently! No one wants to recount a horrible situation, and most of the time your brain will shut out traumatic experiences.

When you recall a memory or a situation, your brain cannot dictate that you're talking about a memory, instead your brain believes you're currently in that situation. If you stay in your past you're just promoting the same energy that didn't get you where you wanted in the first place. If you read "becoming supernatural" by Dr. Joe dispensa he explains it way better

Johnny’s testimony yesterday was utterly heartbreaking! The cigarette burn on his face after she cut his finger was more than I could bare. The audacity of Amber to claim that she is the victim here is borderline psychotic.
I agree! I am thinking Amber was born without a conscience and the poor man is lucky to be alive.
My family and I were saying how broken and sad Johnny has looked during this trial. I hope he prevails and she is done in Hollywood.

@books we heart. You do realize Johnny Depp is an actor, right? He is suing Amber. He couldn’t let his vindictiveness end with the divorce. To be clear, they are both a mess. They had a tumultuous, violent relationship with abuse on both sides. However, he is going after her, he sued her. He’s trying to blame her for the downward turn in his career instead of the real problems; his advancing age, drug addictions and alcoholism.
The whole thing is sad, but Johnny only has himself to blame, he is no victim.
I watched some of this trial and what i concluded so far is that both of them were toxic and abusive. Neither innocent. They both should take responsibly for their actions even using drugs and alcohol

I have to tell you that meeting John when he was in 21 Jump St. My daughter had a sm part. He sat on the floor with us, rehearsing his lines in his head. He was so kind, soft spoken & kind. I was impressed with this young man because he was a heart throbe here in Vancouver at the time. He could have been a snob.

I panicked last year when she was off a few days. I wrote where are you because I was having a panic attack. Heather and her staff and photographer I think it was her husband they pulled me from a very bad time of being deathly ill and having to go to a nursing home. I am not much older than Heather so it gave me the strength to fight. Thank you so much for what you did for my spirit

I liked her Winona Ryder story because like her mom I didn't believe it from the beginning because that's the first I heard of it. When Vanessa and Winona said he was never violent with them and had nothing but nice things to say. I was like...hmmm...there;s more to this story. Usually an accusation happens and then another, and another, and another. Because abusers have patterns of behavior. So for his past lovers to say he wasn't like that I thought it had to not be true or something else was going on, a brain tumor or something. Because he's not just going to suddenly become violent at 50 when he's never been violent before.
The Kate Moss trashing the hotel story was she was sleeping in another room and he destroyed the sofa. It didn't really have anything to do with her.
I watch the UA-cam of the trial at 1.25x speed so Johnny sounds normal.

Heather as a nurse just needed to rebut your thought about Amber not giving JD his medication because it was “too early”. Cardinal rule is you ALWAYS treat the patient 1st,not the clock or computer.So it was kind of inhumane.She could have called the Dr or nurse who was on stand by. Even if his routine med wasn’t due, there’s always a PRN (as needed med) if the patient needs it on top of the Around the clock med. Sounds like she wasn’t equipped or just plain evil! Wonder if she was sipping wine while cutting vegetables as he was hurling on floor. Lol

I think amber totally seduced Johnny to the point that made him leave his woman and kids to try and be with her . He thought she was American for him which he missed cuz of French wife wasn’t his cup of tea and mid life crisis and she’s really soooo beautiful I can see him just falling for her . They kissed in a shower scene . Yeah the devil was doing it’s thing .. I think he was and still is shock that she was so crazy . He misses his normal beautiful venessa and he feels like a fool for leaving her ! Venessa is beyond amazing . Go back to her !

Great interview, have always loved Jens stand-up and have read her books, so finding out what she was going through during these times, and how complex being a female in comedy, and dealing with the complexities when men are gross, was utterly fascinating. Love you Jen and Heather!
Going through withdrawals is not based on a clock she was torturing him on purpose. It’s the cruelest thing to know your partner is going through withdrawals and to make them sit there and cry. That’s what causes full blown relapses. She knew he was suffering and withdrawals make you have restless legs were you cannot sit still you get sick like the flu, your brain literally tells you that your dying. She was not trying to help him or do the right thing it was a way to hurt him and control him. I hate her for what she has done. He was paying for all her homeless friends to live in his houses… she is an ungrateful two timing witch.
