It's just a good thing that they created the Aura Reader and that Jovi can't see Shadow Pokemon normally like Rui. That means you would've had to put up with her for the whole adventure, which was quite a bit longer than Colosseum.
Also the rayquaza and deoxys fights in oras, jeez that deoxys’s level scared me when I saw it’s level for the first time. The rematch with Wallace being less than level 60, with 57 being the highest on his team, then rayquaza at level 70, and then deoxys being level 80...
14;53 Wow...Milotic is one of my Favorite Water-Type pokemon. It's so beautiful and cute and graceful at the same time.... Her Fainting animation captures them in such a beautiful way (For Gamecub standards)...But yet it's kind of depressing... ;-;
Can't wait for the Miror B. fights! :3 P.S: Chuggaa, actually, there is ANOTHER person who says "En Garde" in a Pokemon game. (i.e. Wikstrom in Pokemon X/Y) :P
What’s crazy to me is 7 years ago this was a soild point, but now the landscape has changed so much people are doing entire shiny only nuzelocke runs, grinding for 100’s of hours for 20 min videos
I'm going to be honest and say that Orre Colosseum was what I was most excited for in this LP. I've had XD since right after the time it was released, and I've left Orre Colosseum alone until my most recent playthrough. It was tough as hell, yet it brought true closure to this game. Eldes is the final opponent in Orre Colosseum, and honestly, it wouldn't feel right to not fight Eldes after saying that he wants a true, friendly battle with the protagonist. I understand how brutal Orre Colosseum is, so what I did was leave out two members of my team (I didn't use the ones that had the worst natures and stats relative to what they are), and got two Pokemon from my GBA games that had good natures, and EV trained them. I didn't really give a damn about there IVs, but one of my EV trained Pokemon, a Jolly Aerodactyl, turned out to have a perfect speed IV. I think something you could do is speed the first 3 battles of a round, maybe discuss what the opponent would try to do, and have a more in-depth battle with the boss of a round. Or if you wanted, you could cut through the first three opponents entirely and get to the boss, though I wouldn't because all 4 opponents in a round have notable strategies.
***** I liked it quite a bit. I'm looking foward for The Battle of the Five Armies. I'm really enjoying this new trilogy, it's not LOTR level-quality, but I never expected it to be.
8 Hours of leveling is a good start to an aftergame...when that game is Disgaea. No, wait, Disgaea would need 27 hours and three leveling guides to face the first post-game event.
The thing with Billy Bob and Jinzou is that its kinda like a brains and a brawn. Jinzou is the psychic defender/attacker and Billy Bob is the heavy metal tank who soaks up the damage. Therefore a great pair for combat in general
I always loved Orre Colosseum. One of the few Battle Facilities that provided a legit challenge for competitive teams, and unlike Battle Tower/Frountier/Mt Battle, you don't have to battle through loads of pathetic boring unevolved trainers before things get actually interesting. The bosses here all use really interesting teams too. Since Chugga is unlikely to cover these (they're near-impossible without EV Trained Pokemon, though if someone could pull it off without that'd be a complete and total badass), I'll list the boss strategies here. Lovrina: Stalling, as you see here. Snattle: Spamming Explosion while having his allies Protect, and using Imprison to lock out your Protects. (Take out that Muk fast before it can do that) Gorigan: Everything on his team has the Intimidate ability, so physical attackers are in for a hard time. They're all pretty strong Pokemon too. Robo Groudon Chobin: Baton Pass, intended to pass to strong Pokemon like Dragonite and Marowak. His Mr Mime can copy his partner's boosts with Psych Up and pass them, or even copy YOUR boosts. Gonzap: Having one Pokemon use Hyper Beam while the other targets THEM with Roar/Whirlwind, negating their recharge turn. (This can be easily exploited though) Ardos: No gimmicks, just a team of strong Pokemon. Eldes: No gimmicks, just a team of REALLY strong Pokemon. He has Latias and Latios. One thing I will say I hate about this place. You'll notice here Lovrina uses both Brightpowder and Lax Insence (both items with the same effect, raises Evasion), to get around the Item Clause restrictions and essentially have two Brightpowders. ALMOST EVERY OTHER BOSS DOES THIS TOO. I'm kind of fine with Lovrina doing it becuse she's meant to be a staller/annoyer, but having every boss throw in a few evasion items on random Pokemon for no real reason is just plain artificial difficulty. Especially since these bosses are ALREADY HARD without factoring in random misses.
Ah, the days where IV breeding was extremely difficult. I have a feeling most of the opponents here have 31s in everything. Wouldn't be surprising. Most competent humans don't use both Brightpowder and Lax Insence though. Then again, there were very few viable hold items back in Gen 3, and this place has Item Clause. No Focus Sash, no Gems, no Life Orb, no Specs/Scarf, Type-Boosting items were useless (only 10% as opposed to 20%)... I'm really glad they introduced more, since I remember back in Gen 3 competitive pretty much EVERYTHING used Leftovers if they didn't run Choice Band. Even sweepers would use Leftovers.
Eldes does have a gimmick All of his Pokemon that don't have the Levitate ability know Earthquake and Ardos uses Pokemon with high base speed (Anything 100 base speed or higher)
Misdreavus used protect to block attacks. It took no damage. Meaning even though it technically isn’t on Chugga’s Team this time, we still got one last instance of “it doesn’t affect Misdreavus.”
What I would love to have next generation: 1) Trainers who use HM moves. What's the point of making the game an RPG is the trainer is nothing but conduit for in-game dialog? I remember Pokemon on the Gamecube, XD to be specific. Main character using Strength on those boxes in the SS Libra. And also, trainers in the water can actually swim... why are we so weak that we need Pokemon for everything? 2) Afro-Samurai-esque Pokemon League. I don't mean mass killings and blood ok? Calm down, I mean the Champion system. Gain all 8 badges, which would make you the #2 Greatest Trainer in the region in which grants you access to fight the Four. Beat the Elite Four once then the Champion, CHOOSE the New Elite Four during your reign as Champion for in-game challengers (gym leaders and Elite Four from past generations or special trainers), then get emails or updates that other in-game trainers became the new #2, beat your Elite Four and challenge you for the right to be #1 Champion. Much more dynamic gameplay mechanic than going back to the Four over and over again right? 3) Shadow Pokemon Arc. If not a game by itself on the hand-held, make it a side game. 4) 8 Moves in battle. I'm not really tired of dealing with four moves all throughout the game, but I think more can be done at this point. A character in traditional RPGs can learn and use moves they learned all thru their journeys right? Why not with Pokemon? I get that the move pools are vast for each, but limiting it to just 4 moves at a time? Its frustrating at best. If not eight moves, meet me at the middle with six.
So chugga.... how're those Okami Bonus videos coming? #trololol No but seriously chugga....who are you... Jon? I get that new let's plays are important, but you haven't officially completed okami 100% yet.... Also #chuggavisitingAikavillageinanimalcrossingnewleaf
HugoNikanor First of all, Chugga stated on twitter he is working on the wind waker videos. Second, He wants to beat the Okami HD ersion so he can do the demon gates on that. Sorry if I said something wrog about Okami, I dont know much about it
Milotic's fainting animation is really depressing. The only Pokemon that makes me feel even worse about KOing is Gardevoir. Gardevoir's fainting animation is why I absolutely hate fighting it in Colosseum and Battle Revolution (it's shortened in XD so it's not as bad). So sad. :( Also, next Pokemon LP should be Red Rescue Team.
Ahh, it's XD time again, hooray~ 10 level jump after the end of the main story? Reminds me of the Black/White 1 postgame. God, I hated that... I've only used a Milotic once, but I had a lot of fun using it. It was in a Gen 3 hack, so I couldn't really abuse Marvel Scale, but I believe it had Calm Mind in that hack, which destroyed a lot of stuff when mixed with Surf and Ice Beam! Good times.
In generation III, Counter and Mirror coat had -5 priority. As of Generation VI, they still have -5 priority, with whirlwind, circle throw, dragon tail, ad roar at -6 priority. Trick room is at -7.
Infinite Monkey Eh, I'm a little rusty on Pokemon right now. It still stands that Counter and Mirror Coat have negative priority, so anything that his Pokemon did would move first.
Mega Aggron is also tied with Shuckle for the highest base Defense of all Pokémon as of Generation 6 if both normal Pokémon and Mega Evolutions are counted.
"I forget if Wobbuffet would've been faster when trying to Counter me." Counter and Mirror Coat both have negative priority, so Wobbuffet would've gone last that turn no matter what if Aggron had attacked.
Eagun has so many Pikachu's, Pichu's, and Raichu's, it's obvious that Eagun spends his retirement observing the breeding habits of Pikachu's evolutionary line.
I feel your pain Chugga. In Black and White, they make a difficulty jump from level 54 to 60-65! It's a pain to train up! (by the way, anybody hear Pokemon Colluseum Cipher Admin music? So AWESOME and tense!
"please hit walrein please hit walrein please hit walrein..." the attack animation happened, and aggron was using protect, so YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR IT TO ATTACK AGGRON!
One of the members in X/Y elite four says en garde. Or if you want to be technical, in mystery dungeon red/blue rescue team Moltres says en garde right before you battle.
The only thing I have to ask is... what on Earth happened to the capture toward the end of the episode? Starting at 16:52, there was horrible flicker and then for the final 10 seconds, there was no video at all. Mind you, it wasn't terribly important, because there really wasn't anything worth showing, but it is slightly worrying.
if anyone was wondering, Lovrina said the following after losing:
"Boo!
I can't believe I lost again!"
Im surprised Misdrevus didnt have Perish Song.
Because Shadow Tag.
that's really jerkish, i hate when people in online battles do that to me.
Chugga, Counter and mirror coat both have -6 priority meaning that they will *always* go last. Speed does not matter in a battle against a wobbufett.
-5 actually, but for generation III were still the slowest moves in the game.
Infinite Monkey eh -5, -6 not much of a real difference. but yeah. Thank you for the correction.
Unless that wobbuffet uses destiny bond. It can go first depending on wobbuffets speed.
I laughed so much at Chugga's 500 poké coupon freak out.
The Flickering scared the tits out of me.@.@
Yeah I saw flickering too and I thought my screen was broken
Jeremy caraballo same
Did the video started blinking black when it was ending for anyone else? Was it part of the video?
Yeah me too :/
Me also
probably just a capture glitch, it happens to all capture cards but it is nothing to worry about.
theslenderguy1 Ok, thanks!
theslenderguy1
Or maybe he did it on purpose... *Smirks* *Evil laugh*
lol XD
"I am SO disappoint!" can I get that on a shirt
yes
***** yes
Yay!
***** =D
It's just a good thing that they created the Aura Reader and that Jovi can't see Shadow Pokemon normally like Rui. That means you would've had to put up with her for the whole adventure, which was quite a bit longer than Colosseum.
So for those wondering what she says at 16:18, it's this.
"Boo! I can't believe I lost again!"
Apparently Chuggaa just chooses to ignore B/W's level skip...
THANK YOU! i couldnt beat the post game until i caught that level 70 volcarona! what a pain in the ass
Holy shit I remember that. I barely beat the first wild Pokémon when I saw the level jump...
Also the rayquaza and deoxys fights in oras, jeez that deoxys’s level scared me when I saw it’s level for the first time. The rematch with Wallace being less than level 60, with 57 being the highest on his team, then rayquaza at level 70, and then deoxys being level 80...
OMG! As soon as Eagun’s email cut off, an ad started playing!
I hope you won't forget that Eagun has a present for you ...

Wow...Milotic is one of my Favorite Water-Type pokemon. It's so beautiful and cute and graceful at the same time....
Her Fainting animation captures them in such a beautiful way (For Gamecub standards)...But yet it's kind of depressing... ;-;
gamebear? you said gameCUB
Woah. .3.
Game Cub?
Geez...sounds like a parody of Game frumps!
XD
I get the same feeling with Gardevoir's fainting animation in Colosseum and Battle Revolution (it's shortened in XD so it's not as bad).
Gardevoir in my opinion is prettier than Milotic. At least I think she's more elegant
Can't wait for the Miror B. fights! :3
P.S: Chuggaa, actually, there is ANOTHER person who says "En Garde" in a Pokemon game. (i.e. Wikstrom in Pokemon X/Y) :P
Only Chugga grind exp. points for eight hours for a seventeen-minute-long video. ^w^
What’s crazy to me is 7 years ago this was a soild point, but now the landscape has changed so much people are doing entire shiny only nuzelocke runs, grinding for 100’s of hours for 20 min videos
explosion is the best move for this place! congrats on beating it with an in-game team as well; that's an impressive feat (:
I'm going to be honest and say that Orre Colosseum was what I was most excited for in this LP. Pokeravsgamer X
Where does the an go?
HitmanReborn9999 it goes before aggron
Pokeravsgamer X Yeah. I'm not always sure of the difference of "a" and "an". It is a second language, I'm Brazilian.
He had to grind to 60? Well, that explains the week-long delay.
Eagun reminds me of an aged Smooth Mcgroove
The lickitung at ca. 9:30 looks hilarious when sped up xD
Was the video freaking out for other people when he got the Email after receiving the 500 Coupons?
Also me...
Me 2
nicky roy
Me 3
Same for me
Same here O.o For a moment I thought it was my computer and I was freaking out.
I don't know if it is just on my end, but there was some weird flickering near the end of the video for me around when Beluh's message was read.
8 Hours of leveling is a good start to an aftergame...when that game is Disgaea.
No, wait, Disgaea would need 27 hours and three leveling guides to face the first post-game event.
Then Dragon Dogma beats that. I’m Level 125 and I haven’t even beaten BBI final boss second form yet! (Mystic Knight)
isn't it mandatory to go through mount battle 3 times if you want every pokemon in the game?
TitaniumKoopa if you beat mount battle without taking a break or changing mons in the PC, you get a johto starter
@@thecake6635 :o
I remember when I had to fight Eldes in the Colosseum. A single tear is shed for those who wish to battle him.
Im glad chugga used my Jovial joke.
The thing with Billy Bob and Jinzou is that its kinda like a brains and a brawn. Jinzou is the psychic defender/attacker and Billy Bob is the heavy metal tank who soaks up the damage. Therefore a great pair for combat in general
Shari has taken over the video... The end of the video starts flickering... Because Shari is the true final boss...
You could say that Misdrevious Torments Chugga

16:55 Chugga! Stop showing us your version of Electric Soldier Porygon!
En Gaurde is used a lot in Pokemon X and Y.
Well, it IS based off of France...
... Yeah... I kind of know that...
Chuggaaconroy you make me laugh every day when I watch your videos and your good pokemon battles
Wilkstrom(Elite four member) from Pokemon X says "En garde" when you battle him
i was about to say it gosh dang it
Weird Flickering at the end of the video... that's not good.
If I remember correctly his capture device got damaged as he was flying home after Magfest.
At least I know I wasn't the only one seeing it.
thank god you saw it. I thought my computer was broken or something.
Thought it was a part of the e-mail that he got at the end! XD
I remember seeing somethin about the capture card he uses for component cable systems was crapping out on him finally...
Maybe that was it?
Gotta love the old boss music in lovrina fight
whoohoo first reaction nice thx chuggaa i played pokemon xD many times but i still needed to train my pokemon at the end for 5 levels
16:56- 17:02 I don't know if anyone pointed this out before me, but why did it blink during that time?
Lickatung sped up was the funniest thing I've seen all week!!
Misdreavus used protect to block attacks. It took no damage. Meaning even though it technically isn’t on Chugga’s Team this time, we still got one last instance of “it doesn’t affect Misdreavus.”
What was the flickering at the end all about?
OOOOOOHHHHH THAT CIPHER ADMIN MUSIC FROM COLOSSEUM! How I've missed you :,) glad that they put it back in the game

No but seriously chugga....who are you... Jon? I get that new let's plays are important, but you haven't officially completed okami 100% yet....
Also #chuggavisitingAikavillageinanimalcrossingnewleaf
He is still missing the figurine collection from Zelda: Wind Waker.
HugoNikanor First of all, Chugga stated on twitter he is working on the wind waker videos.
Second, He wants to beat the Okami HD ersion so he can do the demon gates on that. Sorry if I said something wrog about Okami, I dont know much about it
ZoruaMew *wrong
It's been over 3 years for WW. I've given up hope for it
Pokeravsgamer X Sorry, I was really tired when I wrote that... I feel stupid now. xD
I also meant version not ersion. Hahahah.
So sad. :(

Seconded about Red Rescue Team if followed by Explorers of Sky.
This comment aged both amazingly and poorly at the same time XD
Ahh, it's XD time again, hooray~
10 level jump after the end of the main story? Reminds me of the Black/White 1 postgame. God, I hated that...

I wish Milotic could learn Calm Mind. Heck, imagine if it could use Quiver Dance.
am i the only one who's screen freaked the fuck out after chugga's pokecoupon rant???
Yay! I'm glad Loverina wasn't too hard. That Blissey of hers is a menace! I always lost when Blissey was out. Great to see the video! :)
Why the flickering?
I had that problem to so its nice to know it wasn't just me
I love the old Cipher Admin theme as the new Colosseum Champion theme! :--D
You gave a very well-thought-out argument in favor of using Explosion. I applaud you. 13:47
Negative Priority, Counter and Magic Coat are -6. The only slower move in Pokemon is Trick Room, which forces slower pokemon to move first.
I've stopped playing XD after seeing the levels of the colosseum. So I'm wondering what the after-game is.
Sane here
I knew about the dragonite but that's it.
youre not alone
Remember that dragonite they mentioned...?
Question. Are Michael and Jovi's last names by chance Bon?
Er
Maybe😂
17:00 Major glitch much?
Mega Aggron is also tied with Shuckle for the highest base Defense of all Pokémon as of Generation 6 if both normal Pokémon and Mega Evolutions are counted.
Now, how about we make a mega evolution for Shuckle?
***** I know, but it is worthwhile to point out though.
Dell Conagher, do you want something that refuses to die?
Isn't the Orre Collosseum what you see in the title screen of Pokémon Collosseum?
the random flashing near the end made me think my computer was glitching out
So, it wasn't just me that saw that. Lol. I thought something was wrong with my computer at first. Lol!
I finally beat this games main story. Finally, I can now start these bonus episodes.
Why does the screen flash at 16:54?
Judging from the above comments, Chugga's capture device was damaged slightly when he returned from MAGFest.
Okay did any once notice the screen was flickering?
Yes. Glad it wasn't just me
Hey Chugga towards the end of the video it starts flashing black screen while you're reading the email at 16:52
this was a great lets play, i intend to LP this game in the future
So glad Chugga did the bonus stuff too,for people who never saw/did any of it
You finally posted this episode god -.-
9:20 That Smeargle has Lock-On and Sheer Cold.
I like how Lovrina's entire team is just for stalling...
Chugga, did you not play x or y? The steel type elite 4 says en garde too xD
Eh.. It was the first thing that came to mind for me xD
He probably hasn't gotten to that point yet.
jepaai20 Or, you know, you could check his twitter. IIRC he beat it in November
It was still the first time you ever heard it in a pokemon game.
Did anyone see the screen flicker on and off right before the end? Or was that just me?
Hearing the Colloseum Cipher Music for Lovrina made me mark out so much
Man, that's brutal to have to make you level-grind so much for this place. And to think this is just the first bonus video...
It most likely won't happen, but I'd love it if a Pokémon Colosseum 3 was released for the Switch. ^^
I love how even though Cipher is destroyed at this point, the game still says Lovrina is a Cipher Admin. XD
"I forget if Wobbuffet would've been faster when trying to Counter me." Counter and Mirror Coat both have negative priority, so Wobbuffet would've gone last that turn no matter what if Aggron had attacked.
I still stand by my statement of Shuckle being an extremely underrated Pokémon, and capable of so much more than people realize
Eagun has so many Pikachu's, Pichu's, and Raichu's, it's obvious that Eagun spends his retirement observing the breeding habits of Pikachu's evolutionary line.
Nice to see the Bonus Video's begin! :)
Hunter Greel was the person Greevil was before he had evil put into him :D
You could say the evil got all up on his GREEL, haha
...Yeah, that was awful
***** A true Chugga joke.
When he was going to battle Eagun I thought he was going to be a really tough boss........... I was so wrong
you make the best videos EVER!!!!
When it said the toughest trainers gathered, I was hoping Wes would appear...
I feel your pain Chugga. In Black and White, they make a difficulty jump from level 54 to 60-65! It's a pain to train up! (by the way, anybody hear Pokemon Colluseum Cipher Admin music? So AWESOME and tense!
Remember Chugga: Don't Fuckle with Shuckle
At 6:52 there is some weird black flickering in the video. Does anyone else notice it?
8:25
Congratulations! Your competent Emile evolved into Ash Ketchum!
"please hit walrein please hit walrein please hit walrein..."
the attack animation happened, and aggron was using protect, so YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR IT TO ATTACK AGGRON!
Man I miss this series so much
One of the members in X/Y elite four says en garde. Or if you want to be technical, in mystery dungeon red/blue rescue team Moltres says en garde right before you battle.
Was the video blinking for someone at the end, or is it just me?
ive gotta say its nice to hear some colosseum music again
what was that weird flickering in the end?
0:42 I got an add, while I was doing something and not paying attention to my device and thought that something weird happened.
ORREN you glad there is more things to do!
0:15
I can't stop hearing "Elvis and Greevil"
FINALLY HAVENT SEEN AN XD VIDEO IN AGES!!!!!
It's been one fucking week...
Oh, that's why it took so long for the bonus episodes. Also, why was the screen flickering at the end?
The only thing I have to ask is... what on Earth happened to the capture toward the end of the episode? Starting at 16:52, there was horrible flicker and then for the final 10 seconds, there was no video at all.
