So pads and rotor video with no rotor removal? Also, second set of bolts are not 10mm but 18mm to remove brake pad bracket.

My guy. The rotor has one screw (if it hasn’t already been replaced) and then you literally just pull the rotor off. You knew to this whole car fixing thing ?

What size is the Torx bolt? What torque to use for caliper bracket bolts? No brake lube/paste on the pad tangs to slide clips?

Good video. Should of showed rotor removal. Sometimes they corrode to the hub. Take a hammer and give a couple good hits all the way around.

Do you remove the brake fluid cap at any point? If so, when do you remove it and when do you put it back on. Should it be removed for the slow brake pedal priming technique you demonstrated?

When pushing in the piston on the calipers. Bear in mind brake fluid is hydroscopic meaning it loves to absorb moisture. Don't leave the cap off for extended periods of time.

My caliper piston will not go back in when I used the C clamp. Do I need to open the brake fliud reservoir in order for the piston to be pushed back in?

Good video. It was a big help. But you didn't show how to remove the rotors. After removing the screw. I spent hours getting rusted on stuck rotors off the hubs. I have never had such a hard time getting rotors off. Usually a couple of shots with a big hammer does it. I had to use an air chisel to break them loose.

These weren't hard to remove due to being a California car. I can't show something that isn't there. I do want to make a video on how to remove a stuck rotor or drum though. Thanks for watching!

How hard can that bolt on the rotor be to remove? I know that on my Honda CR-V and my wife's Hyundai Elantra, I had to heat them up and hit them with an impact screwdriver for a while. I never put them back with the new rotors because they were not required and they were that hard to remove.

Eric DIY The torx screws on mine stripped and I had to drill it out.

@Drew Bork My rotors were seized on when I tried to do a brake job. Fortunately, I have a special conditions warranty with GM so I made them eat the job. I normally would have done it myself. I did my Pontiac G6 brakes a few months after the Sonic and those slid right off. I had done the fronts earlier in 2013 or so, but the rears were original. Everything came off with no problems.

Why torx bolt ? Why? If the 5 lugs at 90 ft pds aren't going to hold the rotor on then I don't think the little torx bolt is going to do much ? Is this just a 'robotic' assembly thing?
