- Suffering from some lower back problems sp I decided to shoot my sons bow. It’s an Oak Ridge Mystic, a 3 piece take down with alloy riser, 30#@28”. A real sweet shooting bow for less then €100!
Not a bad looking bow seams to shoot pretty well.
just bought my Mystic,but in 35 lbs.....you were right,great beginner bow,great bow,after all,,less than 80 euros
That’s great to hear! Have fun with your new bow! 👍🏻
sorry for bothering you again, but I have a question:the recommended brace height for this bow is 6 to 6.5 inches, and yours seems longer in the video. Please explain that to me .Is there a particular reason?
Cosmin Titus I think it's somewhere between 7 & 7,5 because my son shoots it and his drawlenght is only around 26". So with a shorter drawlenght I set the bracehight a bit higher. But don't be affraid to experiment, you can go from 6 to almost 8" bracehight, just got to find what works and shoots best.
Thank you for the advice,I am a beginner, any advice helps.Have a nice day.
you are right once again :D I got a new string and silencers....it is so quiet I can almost hear the feathers on the arrow....
Great video many thanks
Hi!
Can u please name equipment from your bow
I have the same one, and can’t find a right viewfinder.
Thank u very much
Ahi tu Heisenberg!
Where did you buy it
Just at a local archery shop.
Hey I just got mine yesterday, I love it but because I have standard vane arrows (Easton | XX75 Tribute Arrows) I'd need to add a arrow rest so it does not catch off the riser shelf, any idea what arrow rest would be suitable for this bow? The Shibuya Ultima Magnetic Arrow Rest was what I was thinking but since where the pressure hole is, there isn't much room :(
Great you love the bow, but I'm afraid I can't help you much with a choice of arrow rest because I've never used one before! 😉 But if your bow and arrows are tuned right and your knocking point is set right, shooting arrows with vanes of the shelf should not be a problem. Some of my friends use arrows with vanes for shooting in the rain and they all shoot traditional bows of the shelf.
@@thearcheryapprentice8511 thanks I'll speak with the shop I bought it from or others as well and see what I can do... Either find a rest suitable if needed or get fletched feathers put on them.
What string is used? I got the one that came with the bow and it's tough to string it with the stringer strap... it feels kinda short :-/
@@DivineTestimonies it's a 14 strand Fast flight string. A good friend of mine makes all my strings.
Can you add a compound/hunting sight on it?
Not sure to be honest. There are 2 holes drilled in the riser wich i used to attach the bow quiver. Don´t know if these are standard size to fit a bow sight.
Does brace height matter on this style bow?
Yes, brace height always matters on a bow. For a recurve around 8" is a good starting point. You can then tune lower or higher depending on your draw length, bow characteristics,... to find the sweet spot.
I smell dutch
Which arrows you used in the video?
I believe these were the Bearpaw pentalon hunter extreme arrows. Thanks for watching.
Hi Name of errows plase
