The problem is that if you enjoy 2D games you are probably a cheap ass. Last new game I bought was Modern Warfare 2019, and I tend to just play Civ 5 all the time.
@@DaveHcontrarian Hm, no I can't say that. I am certainly not jumping on all the big new titles (half of which are bloated junk anyway), but I enjoy both. It's just that hardly anyone is making 2D games these days
@@racernatorde5318The indie scene made lots of 2D games that cannot go old, plus the old classics that makes a dumbly sized library. On the other side, the modern full polished 3d games are too expensive to make for the editors to take risks.
There is a reason why we have god damn great 2D games like Ori and the Blind Forest, Hollow Knight, etc. They take way less resources to make and they can focus on having amazing 2D graphics, story, soundtrack and gameplay. Like, I have never played a better single-player game than Ori and the Blind Forest. I adore that game. The graphics are superb. Many "AAA" games released in recent years have failed because of saturated online-only market, high cost of development (graphics, etc.) and lack of interest in that kind of game, but there is always a demand for great single-player experience, even better if it can be played on the go (Steam Deck, gamepad, etc.). Almost all games I play are 2D, with a few rare exceptions like Nier or Guild Wars 1 & 2.
Nice catch, that's a weird one. With the TC teleportation glitch it was known that it had something to do with garrisoning and the TC arrow fire, but obviously a SW can do neither of those things.
I always thought about what it would be like if two players could play as one player. As in separate screens and cursors but for 1 civ. That way one could focus on the eco while the other could focus on the military. Constant communication and arguments would ensue to who gets to spend the eco and choose upgrades. Could be interesting.
Taking out the relics when it happened was pretty much the end of the game, because Villese basically literally couldn't afford a monk to pick them back up, and Nicov made the right call to just spam into that regardless of losses to ensure that would be the case.
I think the middle was super important, Nicov was able to have production in one, central place, allowing him to reinforce any flank easily. But villese had to run around the map constantly
scorpions are really under rated once you get a solid mass you can flatten just about any army. especially in the lower elos where everyone is not a micro nerd
The number of times chat said 'throw' about either player, they clearly thought it was over a lot more than just 5 times 11 Intense back-and-forth, GG!
2D graphics are hugely underrated these days. Games with 2D should still exist alongside 3D and not be fully replaced. They also tend to age better

Holy Ram 2.0, now with omnipresence!

I was about to write that 😂
@@mokadelic4037 great minds think alike.
Great comment! Great thumbnail!
This is probably the climax of all those years of T90 being unable to predict the end of a match or him jinxing it and prolonging it.
Just want to add my support for a who is #2 US and #2 in the world tournament. Maybe the US version could even be a LAN.
the marketing/hype/puns basically write themselves. "We all know 'Merica #1, BUT who is NUMBER 2 in Aaayygge of Empires TWO?"

I’ve asked myself how that would go as well! :D
When single game of Nations Cups is better than entire Red Bull tournament.
Red Bull was good, I liked it a lot.
I really liked the closer sets from Redbull, basically Lierray's sets :P
Empire wars sucks.

As a Nordic person (sweden) Im obviously rooting for Argentina ;D

I would expect the change that they get ballistics to make a massive shift!
I can do this all day.
What a game. Honestly
I really like Malay and/or Persians in these late slogs - having 1 more trash unit to use...especially gold-free-longsword is so good
A "who does #2 work for" austin powers themed tounry would be funny

Holy cow what a game!
Imagine a civ that villager shoot arrows.
that game was crazy good
Yeah, this was a game. It was a fucking game. I can’t believe both players’ bullheaded refusal to die. Damn.

What a damn game!

As a low elo player I find these pro games too boring because they are so complex, More LEL content please|
Ya, I'm not a huge fan of pro games, but it's nice to see the difference of skill displayed.
