- I was a newbie once too! Of course I want to answer every question with a video tutorial but in all reality that's just not possible!

For this kind of job, before seeing this video, I'd have used a quarter inch end mill to do the stripes and the v-bit for the stars. What is the advantage of running a two bit carve the way you propose?
The only times I've used a set up like the one you describe is for a 2.5D (or 3D as some would call it) project.
In in my second year with my Longmill and love deepening my learning of the craft! I thank you for your time and for your continually excellent videos.
Hey Michael! I guess there would be no real advantage other than the look. I personally like the chamfered edge, and squared corners look better than the rounded.
