Millie Blake (AJ Molder), a high school senior soccer player, has her life turned upside down after an altercation with an out and proud classmate of hers, Andy Wellick (Julia de Avilez Rocha). As punishment, the two girls get sentenced to a month of community service at a local nursing home. As she begins to not only bond with two of the residents, Jade and Pepper, but with Andy too, Millie begins to understand more about herself and becomes more confident in who she is.

It’s been such a long road, but I’m so so so happy to finally show this film off to everyone! It means a lot to me, a story I really needed to tell at the time and a story I hope people want to hear! I hope I make even one person’s day with this, or even made a small impact on someone in any way with this and my job as a storyteller will be complete.

I'm not gay, I can't even say how the feelings of discovery feel, but in such a homophobic environment we seem to find ourselves living in, the insecurity must be hard, I was always told as a child that I'm gay, in school I was given hell, it is getting better, there's a lot more understanding, but people are individuals, we all have differing feelings, we're all here for such a small amount of time, why can't people live and let live, love is much better than hate

That is a masterpiece! I was so impressed by this 2 young actresses! They play so well! As well as greact actors, Jolie Foster, Julia Roberts, Kristen Steward, etc etc!!!! The first moment where they talk face to face, waho, they play so weel! It is so natural! I had to replay the part in which Andy said she's an asexual lesbian multiple times because I couldn't believe it was real, because I've never seen myself represented in anything and I've stopped hoping for representation long ago. I can't even begin to tell you how much this means to me, thank you so much ❤

For me, I don’t like the thought of sex or kissing or anything like that. My body doesn’t produce the hormone that makes everyone... horny, I think. Then again, that’s just how I explain it in a scientific sense. I don’t think I’m lacking in anything, that’s just how it comes across to most people so I lead with it. As for the Biromantic part, I can see myself happily being with a girl or boy, though I lean towards girls. I’m not 100% straight because of it, and it’s purely romantic, hence the label. Does that help?

I did write a full length version of the script, and this is like only the first half of the feature! In the second half, they fall for each other :D and of course! I'm so glad I could represent the ace community!!

I loved how it was totally platonic, no un necessary kissing scenes or high school drama. It was a really beautiful and simple short film, 2 girls understanding and relating with each others situations and emotions.

This felt so raw... being ace, it was indescribably validating to hear Andy talk about the struggles of finding herself, especially when sexual attraction wasn’t something she experienced. So, so moving, and as a whole, completely fantastic.

I clicked on this not knowing what to expect, I clicked off of this having experienced one of the best short films I've ever seen, in all seriousness. I would love to see a part 2, because the storyline, characters, and attention to detail just made me crave to know more of this story. Also, the asexual lesbian looks like the daughter of Lily Richards (another creator of LGBTQ+ content). Amazing job and thanks for sharing this.

I like at the end Andy really outlines the true confusion that can happen due to the way our society views sexual identity. It makes finding out who you are extremely hard to do. In truth I think so many people continue to evolve over time with their understanding of who they are.

Why? They're just a couple. It's just a film. Not A GaY film, though there are homosexual characters. But it doesn't mean that their whole personality revolves around being gay. I wish more people understood that.
My little brother always labels me as the “Trans sister” and feels the need to tell that to everyone I meet. Do I call you the straight brother? Heck no I don’t. It should be the same way for trans lesbians.
When representation gets to the point that it no longer seems a big deal, then it won't have to be a label anymore. Just because it doesn't have a label doesn't mean it won't come up in LGBT threads; that's how I found it. And I'm glad for that, otherwise I wouldn't have.

I have to say, this was fantastic. I mean, the acting, the writing, and the chemistry between both characters was very well done. I've seen many that had potential to be a full length movie but none like this. I do truly hope this gets talked about more. Out of everything, I couldn't find anything wrong with this. However, there is only one flaw, and that is that they added the caption "Community Service Day 5" twice by mistake. Also wasn't it supposed to be a month and not days? I would've love to see something further. But even with those flaws I still found this very intriguing and very well made. I am giving this a 9/10!!!

I am gonna wait for the day when "coming out" won't be a term anymore. You wouldn't have to tell someone that you are gay to let people know. It would be as normal as being a heterosexual. I don't know if this makes any sense. 😅 just liberty to be anything without being judged or having the need to put a label.

Post Production is nearing it's very end, as the final touches are being made on the color and sound design! We have already began entering festivals and will continue to do so here this summer, fall, winter, and even into next spring. I liked this, it was like watching someone in real life finally be able to open up and explore their true feelings without being judged. It was even nice that it didn't have any, Any, Hollywood overemphasized sexual drama added into it. (That really does distract and take away from the true message of a story) Thank you
