We’ve Lived on a Narrowboat for a year with our little one, moved back to land a few days ago! Best advice, slow down, if you’re panicking slow down, if you think you’re gonna crash, slow down, you can’t steer in reverse so reverse hard then back into forward in tick over to steer again. You’ll get shouted at if you’re crashing about and not in tick over! Have fun 😊
My husband just loves Hunter. We have been watching since she was a baby. We were saying how lucky is she that she will be able to look back at her whole childhood and you as young parents. That will be so precious as she grows older into adulthood ❤
Brilliant. Hunter is so sweet. Her excitement when you told her she is captain. Loved when Kara and Nate did this. Now we get to see you guys to it. Would love to do this with my kids to. Ps canals were the main transport mechanism before the industrial revolution and invention of the steam engine/trains. Pps. The first berries you pointed at where "Holly".. very iconic for Christmas in the UK.. but not edible..in fact, very poisonous. Good comment Steve!
Aw we’re so excited for watch this! Since selling our van and moving onto a narrowboat we love seeing others explore the canals. It’s such a beautiful way of life!

I love this 2 parter in the UK! It’s wonderful to see people from other countries enjoying the gorgeous UK countryside! I live in Yorkshire but North Wales is probably my favourite part of the UK! I just thought I’d let you guys know that you’re not supposed to feed bread to ducks…apparently in absorbs water and expands in their tiny little stomachs so much that it can actually make them unwell. That’s what I’ve heard anyway 😬 I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in the UK! 💛
Wow you guys. Thank you. As a South African i didnt hav a clue there were so many canals. Its sooo fascinating. I could watch this for days honestly. Thnx for making me wanna do stuff i didnt even know i wanted to❤

It's the kind of experience where you'll embark on a leisurely canal adventure, and suddenly, your boat becomes the tortoise in a race with a laid-back agenda. I'm currently in Ireland for our TV show and I might as well try this when we go to UK.
😅 I love the unique travel ideas you guys come up with I’m obsessed. I also noticed that the other people with boats, they each had one person in front, and then one person and back steering… so I think the person in front kind of helps direct which way you need to adjust; so I was cracking up that Steve and Cleo where just in the back chilling hitting stuff😂 best holiday ever 🎉
Hahaha we were sooo much longer 😂 I could not hear Jess from the front plus the engine is right where we are steering you couldn’t hear anything over it
Did the same trip a few years ago, very relaxing but it’s harder to steer than it looks, your sister did a great job 👍 this canal is only 1 hour away from where we live. Glad you are all enjoying our wonderful countryside. How long are you all in the UK for ? The Black Country Museum is worth a visit 👍 hope you enjoy the rest of your stay……………
@@flyingthenestforgot to mention they have narrow boats at the museum and a trip through Dudley tunnel right under the Castle where you can Leg the boat through like they used to years ago when the boats were pulled by horses, also a lot of Peaky Blinders was filmed at the Museum 👍

They built that aqueduct and canal in the late 1700’s We can’t even build a railway from Birmingham to Manchester nowadays that how far we have gone backwards !!!! Great Video and good Narrowboat handling (we have a Narrowboat near there )it’s quite a narrow canal and busy with boats 👍👍👍👍
Hi Cleo 👋 wow guys that was so exciting. Well done 👍 what a beautiful way to see the English countryside and meet people. Hahahahaha great Narrow boating....all the way to Wales. This is the first time I've ever seen you drinking tea ☕ fabulous video 😂
Jesse, Stephen, and crew. Glad to see you enjoying Wales. Croeso i Cymru. I’ve been across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct several times. The first time was by canoe, it seems more safe that way, you sit so low in the water and peer over the edge. I’ve boated over it a few times. My brother lives in North Wales and had his own narrow boat on this canal. We had to hold onto Jac the dog, he was prone to jumping in the canal to chase the ducks. We didn’t want him taking a leap at the birds.
@@flyingthenest Yes, it's closer to the edge but, just looking over is ok. the rim is judt up to chin height in a canoe. Standing on a surf board is worse but some nuts do it!
