    I started out on an FZ07. A year later I was considering adding a cruiser. I test drove a ton of harleys at the dealership and finally got on this bike. I fell in love. I wound up upgrading to an MT09. Well, I went back yesterday and test rode it again. I’m trading in my MT09 to get this bike. It’s a Lexus on two wheels and it’s perfect in my eyes.

    The cost is the killer for new riders. The R3 is more affordable for a new rider. But I agree master the throttle and practice your skills.

    • @theinfinitryda
      @theinfinitryda  4 роки тому +5

      If cost is the issue they should look at the street 500 or any other bike besides a sport bike.

      no new bike is a good bike for beginners get something you can thrash and drop a few times, moving on to something nice* once you learn the grind.....than again a 500$ bike can kill you as fast as a 15k bike so live that shit up 😂

    I would love to get my hands on that bike. However I think I will first get through the class then once I pass the class hopefully then I might try the 500 or 650cc naked bikes first just use to the bike then once I'm more confident then I'm might consider a Fat Bob.

    From a European prospective you can't speak of corners with that large sweet long bends, so I don't think it is so capable in corners with that bif tire at front, I mean real corners, but it's a wonderful motorcycle. I like a lot.

    Cruiser comfort with Sport bike performance? Perfectly balanced as all things should be. But in my opinion the Low Rider S is slightly better than the Fat Bob. But from s styling aspect I’d choose the Fat Bob

    The Infinit Ryda, thanks for describing things for new riders, your detail is very good. I am 60 years old and careful and mature. I just passed my msf course, but I am 6'4", 230 pounds with a 35 inch inseam. Would the fat bob be okay for practicing slowly around suburbs with few cars until I get used to developing better skills?

    • @theinfinitryda

      Yes it will be fine as long as you’re not giving it too much throttle. How is your throttle control?

    I’m not a new rider, but I have limited experience on feet forward cruisers. Rode a 2013 Suzuki Boulevard M90 for a year in the city. Looking to get a cruiser again after 5 years and I’m torn between the 2019 Sport Glide and the 2018 Fat Bob 114. Both has their own appeal. Which one would you recommend?

    • @CH-eg7kr
      @CH-eg7kr 3 роки тому

      The forwards on these aren’t really that foreword. I have stretched out on some other bikes with forwards and scared the shut out of myself, but these are just perfect.

  • @user-sw2lv3zp6o
    @user-sw2lv3zp6o 3 роки тому +1

    I'd have thought that the feet-forward position was worse for your back. I find that my slightly tilting forward/feet behind me position on my MT-01 - 1670 cc cruiser engine/sports chassis - google it - is very comfortable. But I would like one of these.
    First-class review, bro.

    • @theinfinitryda
      @theinfinitryda  3 роки тому

    My favorite bike on the market, there’s no comparison. This and the low rider s are my favorite bikes. I have a 2020 Kawasaki z900 and I love the bike but it’s not a do it all bike. Even though you sit upright the wind on the highway is not fun. Longer rides aren’t much fun either. Learned this the hard way. Will have to pay it off now to trade it in for either a fat Bob or a low rider s. Will be test riding both but my heart really wants that fat Bob off looks alone.
    Here’s Another thing for people that look at the price, rather than to have to be fiddling around with bikes because of price points, if there’s something that’s priced higher and will make you much happier id say go for that cause it’ll pay itself off in the long run. You won’t have to lose money like me reselling to then go buy another bike and paying more taxes and fees.
    Harleys hold their value, lots of customization options, and just beautiful classic bikes

    It is really not that hard to master a sport bike as long as its sub 500. I started on a Ninja 400 and by month 5 I was going to track days. I now own a CBR600RR and love going fast on the twisties and track days. Not everyday I wanna go fast hence why I want to add a cruiser to the lineup. Sometimes its just better to chill.

    Ever since my MSF class at harley... The fat Bob is a bad first beginner bike. Watched a newbie who bought a new fatbob, then went to class with me, failed within 2 hours, and then wrecked his fatbob in the damn parking lot after failing his class. He couldn't even handle the street 500. And he was a retired marine, big tough guy, definitely DIDN'T see that coming. He was saying that he could ride no problem!

    • @theinfinitryda
      @theinfinitryda  4 роки тому +4

      TylerDD I didn’t say it’s a good option for someone who can’t ride. No bike would be good for that individual. They shouldn’t be on a bike. A new rider is a rider not a non rider.

    the 400cc sport bikes are so much better for beginners. they don't make a lot of power and the throttle is tame for beginners. they are also designed to be more comfortable than 600cc+ sport bikes. they're also a quarter of the cost of the fat bob and offer the same if not more tech features.
