Hallo NorthridgeFixToday I replace the Thermalpaste on my IMac 15" 2012 an I damage the Trackpad Cable.I removed the cable from the logic board and then the keyboard also did not work anymore.Does the keyboard not work without the trackpad? I Order a new Cable and I hope the Keyboard will work fine then.

Hi, thank you so much for this video. So if I use "option" key to boot, I will have trackpad and keyboard (both) working. However, after I click on the UP arrow (pointing to the "Macintosh HD" icon) and boot into normal mode, THEN I can't get the trackpad and keyboard to work. Any idea why and how to fix this? Thanks!
I have the same issue with my 2015 MacBook Air too.
Honestly, the ribbon is the first thing you should have checked, a lot of time would have been saved.
