    At first I thought you were a pretty boy farmer. However I owe you an apology . Your a very hard worker and don't wait around for stuff to do . Your a self starter and your smile/humor always comes out on top. You have my respect. Your dad needs to appreciate you just a wee bit more. Maybe he does behind the scene but your Grade A #1 son in my book. Your wife is nice too. I hope you two the best in life. Take care of your self out there weather it's hot or cold. be safe. I grew up in a family excavation business and played farm hand from time to time, I’ve spent many hours on a D5M like you guy’s have, although I liked the D6M LGP I used to run better because our 5 didn’t have enough power

      @ClaytonHartin 4 роки тому +1

      2009deerejohn what does LGP mean for dozers. I see it all the time. Low Ground Pressure? Because it’s not a high track?

    • @2009deerejohn
      @2009deerejohn 4 роки тому +3

      Clayton Hartin Your are correct:Low Ground Pressure:) The make LGP dozer both high track and standard track, basically it means compared to a stand spec dozer or “LT” the track pads are considerably wider, a D6 size machine will have 36” or even 38” pads as well as a wider stance on the undercarriage and a wider blade, made for playing in mud and/or finish grading because they are more stable

    Hi Chet,
    I am staggered at the amount of equipment you guys have, and having some idea of the cost of these machines, i cant equate it with what a farm does, or are these things leased rather than owned outright, the cost of it all just seems unreal.
    I also am in awe of how you just get on with whatever needs doing,, you are a very accomplished mechanic technician it appears with a deep knpwledge of all these different makes and models, i have no idea how old you are but im very impressed with your work ethic, you parents must be very proud indeed.
    Love your accent by the way, its very easy to listen to.
    Keep up the good work, cant wait to see those planters in action soon.

    When we farmed up there we always cut and baled the road ditches and feed the stock cows with it in the winter. Me and my cousin would trap all the pocket gofers and got 75 cents for a pair of front legs from the county for bounty. Here in Kentucky road ditches mare for growing weeds and almost all of them are poorly made.

    I am probably going to get death threats for saying this but.... it’s not kind to Diesel engines to have them idling for long periods of time..... the unburnt fuel that is present caused by the low engine speed, dilutes the oil in the bore and causes the liner to become glazed which in turn causes its own issues etc etc...... much better to make them work straight away, not screwing their nuts off, just getting them warmed up without over stressing or labouring ....... anyway, I love your channel, all the best.
