    Last week I tried this method on my house slab with 5Kg White cement + 8L water + Fevicol and Dr.Fixit. It was too watery. I had to do 3 coates to get a good whiteness.
    Two days ago I did it on parents slab with a different proportion and it was perfect with two coats.
    My mixing was as below. This mix consistency comes good as paint we buy. This mix covers 40 square meters with two coats.
    10Kg White Cement
    10L water
    2L Fevicol SH
    1L Dr.Fixit Latex plus
    BTW, Dr.Fixit 101 is made for concrete. I used 308 Latex Plus which is perfect for a cement mix to be applied as covering layer.

    • @kumaranb4697
      @kumaranb4697 4 роки тому

      chandan urs It depends. (1.) If no one is walking on the roof, (2.) If it doesn’t get dirty and (3.) If it doesn’t get worn off ( by heavy rain etc.,) it may last 2 years or so. The logic here is to keep the roof “White” so that the heat is reflected and not absorbed by the roof, so when we turn on the ceiling fan the heat is not blown down. I tried this method and painted the roof before 2 years and I am going to re-coat it soon because the coating is worn off after 2 years of heavy rain. It looks like it can withstand two years. If the coating is not gone and it is “White” then there is no need to re-paint. - > It will stick better and last longer in a “Cement” roof than a tiled roof (red coloured roof tile ). Ours is a tiled roof so it got washed of in heavy rain (2 years of heavy rain).
