I've rewatched this video three times, and I can't put words in front of how perfectly the author has felt the anime. Torfinn's scream through all of his major battles, the synchronized speech with his father, and the final phrase about Vinland, started by Torfinn as a child and finished by him as an adult, I'm so amazed by it all. It's just brilliant
Askaladd is, in a metaphorical way, a representation of the viewers. He's always the one rooting for Thorfinn, in both seasons across all three of his mentalities. He's the one who watched Thorfinn grow up and fight, and took a special interest in what kind of man Thorfinn would become. Askaladd is the witness, in another place and time, to all of Thorfinn's life, and the ways he grew and changed, and so are we. So I love how they made him the one to say what we were all saying to our screens across this season, watching Thorfinn haul himself out of Hell back onto Earth, and begin his journey towards Vinland: "Thorfinn! Climb!" And the way you edited that scene, with the buildup to the stacking screams to Thorfinn swearing off repeating his past deeds? Incredible. Just amazing, I mean how else can I say this? I could write a whole paragraph, but I already have, so I'll settle for one word that I really mean: incredible.
Not to mention that Askeladd is also the father figure Thorfinn needed. Sure, Thors was a great father who taught Thorfinn the mindset that he would pursue his entire life, but Askeladd was the one who showed Thorfinn how screwed the world was by letting him go with his men to war. Even if Askeladd, at first sight, looks like a rutheless viking with no moral, the truth is that Askeladd was Thorfinn once, someone who killed his own father (A paralelism with Thorfinn how he tried to kill Askeladd his entire life) ruthlessly and how it didn't fill him. Across the entire season, we can see how Askeladd is always worrying about Thorfinn and how, even if young Thorfinn didn't want to listen, always taught him how to be better (One example is when he told Thorfinn to be respectful with Cannute or at the end when he said that Thorfinn should let the pain of vengeance behind). All in all, Askeladd was the father figure Thorfinn needed. As a ladder that helps you to get higher, Askeladd helped Thorfinn to see the cruelty of the world and teached him to aim up for his dreams.

this shows that creating a good amv doesnt need any high level vfx/editing skills. It just needs some time, care, and understanding of the show. Perfect scene selection and the way the amv moves with his character development is really well made. (im not an english native hope u understand what i meant to say)
It doesn't matter how often I come back to this edit. It always truly moves me in a way that I can't really understand. The change from a Thorfinn that is prisioned in his anger and can't think of anything else to a Thorfinn that just wants to change his past because he understands what a monster he was but he can hardly live with it. Thank you for showing Thors and Thorfinn at the end speaking the same verse, it is amazing.
