30-year mortgages will only impact few homebuyers: prof | Canada Tonight

First-time home buyers can now take out a mortgage of up to 30 years starting today when buying a newly built home. Though the goal is to help younger Canadians dream of home ownership, real estate management professor Murtaza Haider says the policy will only benefit a small number of Canadians because mortgage rates are still too high.
