Where are the 2020 Top 5 shot putters? Last year top 5 threw more than 22M. This year it is indoor, must be the reason or else last year's

He’s just adjusting the shot in the right place for his throw. Everyone has their routine they follow when setting up. Rotational shot putters tend to put the shot much further behind their neck for a better release. Gliders have a more linear movement through the circle, so under their jawbone like Timmermann makes more sense

Nah personally i used glide cause i couldn't do spinning but it's much more efficient

Much more common in female shot put, but there is one German athlete that still glide nowadays, David Storl (PB: 22m20)

There’s still many around on the women’s shot at all levels, but the higher you go in the men’s shot the fewer you will see. David Storl and Lucas Warning are the only active top level gliders that I know of
