One of the things that I learned with Dana’s videos is that you have to focus on one or two companies/products. I am recently licensed in the state of Florida and I signed up with two companies and there’s so much overlap with carriers and contracts that it is that it becomes overwhelming and frustrating, it’s all over the place with multiple websites/dashboards, etc. There is no set concrete process in place.
I want to be just like him because I am not a doorknocker and I realize that now. I want to be a telemarketer in this business. Now it's up to me to believe in myself and commit the time it takes to learn and do it.
A great interview. This is the opportunity in virtual final expense that I have been waiting for. This helps mend the broken system insurance industry.
The thing I love about both Dana & John here is when selling FE you should be a bit somber/sober in your tone and approach. If you're selling sports jerseys your tone should be excited and energetic. I am appalled by the way some of other FE "sales pros" approach FE sales. It ain't a party is someone's final wish. I like to think Dana and Adam reflect the culture of LH. It comes down to respect and class vs ass for me.
The level of respect these two champs have for another is astronomical. Had to rewatch this video more than once to soak the mindset of a champion. Question. After submitting an application with you guys. What's the best way to get in contact or work with you guys?
It is now December 2022...Is the State count still at 17 and can you tell me where to find the list of states? BTW, GREAT INTERVIEW...any way I could contact the gentleman, Mr. Wight, you were interviewing?
Just saw the video. Very informative. I’m coming on board. I am licensed in 6 states. If I get licensed in all 17 states, will I have a consistent flow of inbound live transfer calls? Thanks.
Dana, great interview here. Your content is always relevant and helpful which is why I watch your channel. I may have missed it, but did John write all his business with aged leads or a mix of aged and live transfers, or on all free leads provided by LH ? Also when doing telesales full time, what is the minimum amount of aged leads on average that need to be worked per week, given that it takes alot more work to write premium on aged leads? And do LH products double the face amount payout on accidental death ? Thanks !
There is a lot to unpack here... You seem confused on how we provide leads to our agents. I'm open to a phone call since you seem to have a lot of questions. Please email me at dananesen80@gmail.com with your contact information. LH has AD&D that can provide as much as $160k of additional coverage for accidental death.
Hi Dana, Thanks for a helpful video. One of the commentators asked about Taylored Legacy states; you said there are 17 but I only count 16 that you listed. Can you tell me which one is missing? I'm making sure I have all the necessary licenses before I get on the dialer. Thanks
So, I’m trying to figure his close rate, and coming up with around 2% on his best month, assuming he used 4000 leads that month and wrote 80 aps. That would indicate he’s working mostly aged leads, right?
No that’s not how it works at all. We don’t assign leads to agents. They are collectively worked on by the entire team and a lead becomes “yours” if and when you reach someone and nobody else can call it. The leads we generate are new and are only aged once they haven’t been contacted after a certain amount of time. Then we have our transfer agents continue to work those to provide live transfers.
So, 3:56 into this, we learn that John had been selling L.H. for just over 1 year ... any chance we could have an interview with a successful agent that has been with L.H. for 2 or more years ..?
My entire team is only 2 years old (remember I was the first agent on my team for the first 6 months). So maybe in the future that would be a good idea :). Thanks!
Let me say this. Dana, from what I see, is a quality person. Yesterday, she called me because I had applied for a job with Lincoln. Unfortunately, because I live in Ohio and Lincoln Heritage does not currently appoint in this state, we were unable to work together at this time. Point being, as busy as she is, she called me to let me know this. Most people in her position, would not have bothered to even send an email.
In addition to his commissions, he also earned $6000 in bonuses that month. Plus he has his 25% paythrough. An average agent will write $20,000/mo and earn money bonus money for talk time and conversion rate.
@@joegaines9375 It depends how many states your licensed in. Our agency provides leads in 17 states. If you are in all 17, then you could get 10+ per day. This also depends on the quality of the transfers and if you close them. There are only so many hours in the day! Feel free to email me your contact info to dananesen80@gmail.com if you want to talk about it in more detail. I am impressed with his easy-going, conversational style of speech. No wonder he does very well.
WOW, John has sold over $391,794 in new business in just over a year.
I will join this company for sure

Agreed! Because of that, many agents tend to start focusing on product knowledge instead of prospect knowledge

John always motivates me to work harder. Great interview.
May I ask how long you have been with L.H?
Great interview with lots of very interesting info! Thank you Dana and John for sharing!!!
Glad it helped!

He's pretty amazing!
Great interview! and great insight into the company.
Glad you enjoyed it

What companies does your company sell for?
We are captive with Lincoln Heritage

Yes we are still in 17, which can be found in my UA-cam bio or at tayloredlegacy.com
so how much money did he actually make approximately in a yr for himself?
Between his commissions and bonuses, I'd say somewhere between $150k-$200k

300 or more calls a day? Did I hear that correctly? In a 10 hour day that is 30 per hour / 60 minutes per hour = Each call 2 minutes in length.
It just depends on the day. Some days he might make less than 50 dials if he’s getting a lot of live transfers.
To achieve 391k how many polices are written each week?
John writes an average of 50 policies per month, so I if you break it down... somewhere between 10-15 depending on the week.
Would you be willing to share the script? 🤔
I appreciate the ask...cause if you don't ask, you don't get... BUT our script is the one thing I do not share publicly!
