This one is my favorite in the franchise. The DVD of it is like a choose your own adventure thing and it’s so fun! You get to choose who dies and who lives.
Damn, nice to see others who have 3 as their favorite. I've often felt like the odd man out because most people seem to favor 1,2, or 5. I love all of them except 4, but 3 is definitely my favorite.
Ian is the most insufferable character in this franchise. Hell, may even be the worst character in horror movie history. He was always a smartass. Shooting at pigeons, and not believing Wendy until his girlfriend died. I couldn't wait to see him bite it. God, he sucked!
Fun fact: she was supposed to play Kimberly in part 2. Clear rivers was supposed to be in part 3 but Ali’s contract was why they killed her in part 2. And Kimberly and officer Burke were supposed be on the same train as Wendy and they over hear her say about the events leading them to share their experiences and then the train derailment happens
Yep! Remember how in the 2nd movie they realized they should all not even be alive because of the flight 180 group? I believe it was the same for the people on the roller coaster.
Well yes and no. The camera gave an extra punch to the hydraulic system but that was already leaky and unstable. Wendy delays the ride irl with her freakout, giving the system more time to rupture further. So the restraints would still open after Frankie left, def. What I wonder is how the crash itself happened irl. The camera also damaged the wheels, resulting in the front cart derailing and the stop at the loop. The real life accident would be just people flying out of the ride, which is just as horrible. The ride would not derail and crash tho, like in the premonition. But nah, who cares. Still love the movie and the rollercoaster sequence is just high tier FD material :D
It's all deaths design. People got off flight 180 and the plane still exploded. Kinda makes you think doesnt it? What deaths did all the people who did actually die on flight 180 avoid? It's all a very vicious cycle.
Part 3 is my favorite in the franchise. I love the dvd copy that has a special feature which allows you to change the characters fates in the movie. It was a cool concept. I wish more films would do that.
in an alternate ending of this movie, Kimberly and the police officer are confirmed dead by woodchopper machine on a newspapers. however most people didn't think that's canon since it's an alternate ending.
That’s right, it’s not cannon. Kimberly and the Officer are the only 2 survivors that’s known. With the ending of FD 3 most fans consider Wendy (and everyone else on that train) might have survived suggesting the train stopped.
@@raynebirkin6726 yeah i don't consider the newspapers in the alternate ending as cannon because in the same alternate ending, the train crash did actually happened and Wendy didn't have a premonition. hopefully there's some kind of mention in FD6 about what actually happened to Kimberly, the officer, and Wendy's gang. i mean i don't mind if they did died but it's just a good thing to make things cannon and not just an alternate ending.
For me it is canon. Even the ending of FD2 indicates there won't be any escape for them. And there is actually no reason whatsoever for them to be spared.
@@raynebirkin6726 i mean technically everyone dies eventually so who says they don't die the next month or in a year? The only thing certain is death and taxes 😂
Interesting facts on FD3: • The cast members on the roller coaster had to ride it 26 times on the same night in order to shoot the film's main premonition scene. •The scenes shot in the home improvement store were mostly shot in an actual store. They were only allowed to film after the store was closed and had to leave the store the exact way they found it. In addition, they had to turn objects around to hide brand names, bring in other brand names, and put things in the way to block names from appearing due to the store not wanting their name or products being associated with a "teen death film". • The ending was reshot, reportedly because of unfavorable reactions at preview screenings. This also happened with the previous two films in the series. • Most of the roller coaster footage was filmed on the "Corkscrew" at Playland, part of the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia. The actual ride is much tamer and slower (only contains a double corkscrew inversion) compared to "Devil's Flight", which contains multiple vertical loops and multiple corkscrew sections. In order to achieve such a roller coaster, CGI was applied to the roller coaster set, which contained a hydraulic setup that mimic the actual roller coaster. •In Japan, the film is renamed "Final Deadcoaster". • Ian's last name, the high school's name, and the town's name of McKinley all refer to President William McKinley, who was assassinated. •While in line at the drive-thru, a Hice Pale Ale truck backs into Kevin's car, which traps both he and Wendy in the car. The same Hice Pale Ale truck is also seen in Final Destination 2 (2003). • The name of the salon is "Phoenix Tanning Salon". • Alexz Johnson(Erin) is a Disney Star for her being the 3rd Season Protagonist in “So Weird”. Ryan Merriman (Kevin) is a Disney star for his movies “Smart House” , “The Luck of the Irish”, and “A Ring of Endless Light” Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Wendy) is a Disney star for. “Sky High”
The roller coaster incident was apart of deaths' design. Even though it didn't happen like in her premonition since Frankie got off it, was still supposed to happen.
the 3rd movie was the first movie i'd seen from the franchise. it is SO amazingly good and by far my favorite one. i watched it for the first time when I was really young, so it was the reason I was TERRIFIED of roller coasters and tanning bed 😭😭😭
Same for me I was utterly terrified of roller coasters, then I watched first and second one which utterly ruined the planes and trucks with log’s for me
Fun fact: 1 & 3 were made by the same director that's why those didn't feel as silly as the 2nd one. This and the first one are my favorites and I loved the darker tone of this. In theory, we actually don't know what happened at the end. One or two of them could of survived but we'll never know :) .
I remember there's a cut scene from the subway scene where they pan over a newspaper in trash with an article showing the two survivors from the second actually died. Showing there's literally no way to beat death. But i believe it came off too harsh or disappointing like the kid from ones death being off screen in the second.
people call me weird when i say that this is my favorite horror/suspense movie 😆 i just think this movie is iconic in so many ways, the creative kills, the writing, the acting, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is an amazing and versatile actress especially when you find out that she literally acted on a Disney channel movie before
The morgue guy is in the movie. He is the voice of the giant devil at the rollercoaster. Kimberly and Burke are dead. Maybe it was only in the alternative version, but there is a homeless guy in the tube station covered with newspapers. One shows an article about the bizarre death of Kimberly and Burke. The original idea however was to include them as passengers in the train but they were busy and so the producers decided to show their deaths in the newspaper.
I played the choose-your-own-adventure version so many times as a kid! This one is top three, for me, it’s such a blast! And Mary Elizabeth Winstead is fantastic!
I kinda don’t get how Wendy was screaming and panicking on the coaster when they got off but her sister was sitting in front of them and she didn’t even realized/noticed it was Wendy.

First time I went on a roller coaster I waited in line with my younger cousins for like an hour, it was a long line. Finally it was our turn and my cousin was like, "Lets sit in the front." and I'm like no way, but I didn't want to look like a sissy in front of them so I'm like, sure. And I get this feeling of something bad might happen and the ride starts and at first I was scared, but then I started feeling adrenaline and intensity as we were looping around and I started feeling alive like I was excited and it was actually fun.
If it makes anyone feel better apparently the roller coaster ride’s accident couldn’t happen in real life(was reading stuff & they mentioned something like the camera isn’t enough to derail, I forgot most of it but still) Also the guy that got killed in the gym’s actor’s name is Texas
Kimberly and the cop actually died. It was an Easter egg in the special features for the DVD that shows you an article of how they died. This was one of my favorites from the franchise.
@@2short99 That was an article in the alternative ending, so it doesn't count! WE usually have 2-3 endings in films. Only one is canon! The rest is not canon. Just like in this film. Plus Kim and Burke found a very creative way to cheat the death. Why would they ruin that?
@@irina1296 Once again not an alternative ending that was the story of what happened to them after. The whole point of this franchise is that nobody ever survives no matter what you try. If they were still alive they would've been in the other movies like Clear was and even she eventually died.
@@2short99 Once again, everything that is in an alternative ending is NOT canon. People would lose any interest in these films if everyone does. What the point of watching it?
7:14 So the reason the coaster still crashed had nothing to do with Frankie's camera. In the premonition, you see the restraints unlock after the coaster runs over the camera, which is what Frankie's camera does. The coaster still had issues before the camera was even brought on the ride, which caused the initial crash to happen in the first place. (The leaky tubes) The directors confirmed this 👍🏻

And I get this feeling of something bad might happen and the ride starts and at first I was scared, but then I started feeling adrenaline and intensity as we were looping around and I started feeling alive like I was excited and it was actually fun.
If it makes anyone feel better apparently the roller coaster ride’s accident couldn’t happen in real life(was reading stuff & they mentioned something like the camera isn’t enough to derail, I forgot most of it but still)
Also the guy that got killed in the gym’s actor’s name is Texas
Just waiting for fd4 reaction, it was insane!
This is my favorite one!!!
I love Wendy ❤️
This movie is good. Yes, it's nowhere near as great as the first two films but still entertaining.
Can't wait for y'all to watch the next one, I think its the best one!
Or maybe it was the 5th one..yea, 5th
5th one
Out of all the reactions I've watched, this is only the second channel to catch the camera-on-the-track plothole! 👏🏾
They reference the 5th one to the first film ;)❤
I love your videos ❤️❤️🤩💞
This is my fav franchise of FD, and also the 5th franchise!❤ The 5th franchise is sooo fcking good ❤
Kimberly and the cop actually died. It was an Easter egg in the special features for the DVD that shows you an article of how they died. This was one of my favorites from the franchise.
It was an alternative ending, so it's not a canon!
@@irina1296 An alternative ending would be a deleted scene. This was an actual article that explained what happened to them after 2 so it is canon.

So the reason the coaster still crashed had nothing to do with Frankie's camera.
In the premonition, you see the restraints unlock after the coaster runs over the camera, which is what Frankie's camera does.
The coaster still had issues before the camera was even brought on the ride, which caused the initial crash to happen in the first place. (The leaky tubes)
The directors confirmed this 👍🏻
