Youve sold me on these Open Back H6Pros man (and im digging the green/gold so much), ive tried 2 headsets this week and cant wait till these arrive, and now if they are uncomfy ill look at getting earpads. great vids!
I bought this headset a few months ago. Sadly i had to return it because of the earpads. I saw this video last week, ordered the headset again on black friday such as the midnight and the jerzee earpads. Holy shit, the h6pro is so damn good with the jerzees, thats unbelievable. Also the midnights are great, but i prefer the jerzees too. Ryan, i am so thankful for this video! Its the first headset i ever had, that met all requirements i had! Thank you so much Ryan Sorry for my bad english
so the dekoni earpads make a huge difference but I love my hd660s. Have you ever tried them. Its hard to give up the clarity but the h6pro is great for a gaming headset and has a mic. The dekoni pads just take them to another level of comfort
@@ryanhostudio Ya iv gone back and forth and think that I will just stick with my 660s for music and h6pro for gaming with friends. The sound is more clear with 660s but i still can pinpoint where people are with the h6pro. With your recommendation of the jurzee earpad, Its made the headset so much more comfortable
Hey Ryan. Are you still using the Dekoni pads on the h6pro. I recently bought the h6pro after watching multiple reviews and I am looking at the Jerzee pads. I was wondering if you were still using them and how these pads have held up over time.
@@Fordiales hi i use the jerzee pads for like over a year and half and then i switched back to stock pads to review stock sound. I still overall find the jerzee to be more comfortable while stock pads have more bass if you like that
Just picked these up brand new for £50, I’m not much of an audiophile though so not sure whether this is a good deal or not. Let me know if it’s a steal or if I’ve just wasted £50.
What if you love the stock pads (like me) I can wear the headset for hours and I find them really comfy, maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but from an audio quality stance if you liked the stocks comfort would you stick with them or still use one of the others?
Hey I took the ear pads off to clean my H6Pros because they were getting quite dirty. But I’m having a hard time getting the ear pads back on. Do you think you could help me?
@@ryanhostudio really? Ive seen the majority say the closed is better and that the open just has a wider soundstage. Im console btw with no amp and mainly prioritize imaging idk if that affects it at all
Great video 👍. Going to try one of these ear pads with my gsp601. The stock pads are very hard can't wear the headsets for long periods of time. Keep the great vids coming 👍.
I’m trying them out right now actually with the jerzee pads, I’m honestly not sure how I feel about them. Might need some adjusting since I’m so use to the bass being so much but that’s what I always hated about my headset. At least for Valorant I just played some death matches and I appreciate how much lower gunshots are and a tad clearer on the footsteps around me. I’m able to raise the volume higher now without my ears bleeding.
Have the open back h6 and love them, but after a long session it can feel uncomfortable. Should I get the closed back pads or are these pads better than the stock closed back?
depends on your definition of better, but closed back pads feel more luxurious because of its suede and leather. Sound is more bassy and less treble compared to the stock sound. The jerzee pads have more treble and less bass, sound more balanced in my opinion compared to stock sound and is made of fabric. I am currently using jerzee pads on my h6 pro open
@@ryanhostudio I’m thinking the jerzee might be better for competitive gaming. I also use Dolby atmos on Xbox and have it tuned to hear footsteps better.
the midnight leather ones have decent slam, honestly really fun sounding especially for a open back headphone. Only other open back with that amount of bass is probably apos caspian
@@ryanhostudio So it's an Epos vs Apos Steel Cage match to decide which is better!! I notice there are open and closed versions of the H6Pro. I wonder which version is the best for casual gaming? Most reviews seem to like the open version more. btw... EPOS is who Sennheiser sold their gaming division to. A Danish company I think
@@JTB-- i did a comparison of the closed and open, the open is significantly better. Yeah Epos and sennheiser GSP series share the same drivers and even the earpads are the same shape
Do you prefer open back over closed back for fps games...or for gaming overall? Also do you use the gaming suite and if so what are you settings? Thank you for your video
personally for fps games i prefer the Epos H6 pro open back headphones because the imaging is really amazing with the angled driver. I find it better than any other headphone i own. I think open back does have an advantage of sounding wider than closed back. Hope that helps. I also don't use a gaming suite
@@ryanhostudio thank you for the reply. I have the open back dt900 pro x and the close back h6 pro and to me the DT900 has the better sound... it's just not as comfortable as the h6 pro's...im going to order the h6 open back and see if they are better
@@ryanhostudio I tried the EPOS H6Pro open backs for a week I could not enjoy the sound at all. The mids and highs were too airy and lacked body and presence. They just sounded "there". Definitely had detail and good imaging and sound stage. I could hear EVERYTHING in BF2042 but the audio had no "oomph" to it. I don't mean the bass either. There was bass and it was decent and did its part but the mids and highs were empty. I just couldn't get used to this and I did not enjoy the gaming experience because of this.
