Did you know that blue eyes are a recessive trait? If your partner isn't blue eyed too, your kids are fairly unlikely to be blue eyed too. There's a lot of specifics behind the science of it and sometimes it's possible anyway, I love blue eyes and I wish I had them myself, but I don't. Frankly any kind other than mine would probably be better. I need to be in sunlight to let my real color show.
Fun Fact: The water chip being broken is the basis of why you have to leave your vault and find a new chip, in the first game.
