@@bcool9272well it’s hard to understand EVERYTHING watching it once and trying to grasp this masterpiece without knowing anything else but the previous episodes. I don’t record weekly. I’ve recorded it within short amount of time and I had no one to tell me characters backstory or explain the meaning behind certain things etc. I’m sorry you feel disappointed but I have done my best to understand the story and its characters. I have reflected on the captain/admiral mistake few episodes too late and yes I’ve felt silly about it..
No need to justify anything. People still don't get or underestimate how hard it is to pay attention and react simultaneously. Besides, literally no one grasps everything when watching stuff so there's that. Your reactions are up there with the top dogs, Alex! 👍
The reason there’s an air of finality in the goodbyes between Sanji and Zeff is because they both know that most people who enter the Grand Line very rarely ever leave it. It’s a very dangerous place and on top of that it’s just very difficult to literally physically leave it. Getting into the Grand Line is tricky, but leaving is much much harder. Sanji and Zeff know chances are they will never see each other again.
Yeah comparing live-action and the anime for this scene Live- Action very deep and relatable sacrificing his own leg for food so Sanji can fulfill his dream it so BEAUTIFUL 😭😤🫡
The young actor who plays young Sanji has the main role in the series Sweet Tooth. He plays an hybrid half-human half-deer who searches his mother in a postapocalyptic world where humans hate hybrids because they think they are responsible of the collapse of the world. A good series.
Sanji keeps his hands in his pockets and never uses them to fight because he wants to protect them at all costs in order to be able to cook. This is also why he fights with his legs. As for water and food, a human being can only survive 3 days without water but he can survive 3 months without eating.
3 days only? I had no idea… that’s pretty harsh. Thanks for explaining as to why he keeps his hands in the pockets. I thought it was just his style but now it makes sense
To explain what Zeff is doing in the opening scene: It was recently discovered that fishskin grafts are a legitimate treatment for cuts and wounds (apparently this is something already known in the One Piece world). However, *you need to use just the skin without any meat or else the wound will get infected!* So you need to be extra careful when skinning the fish. The reason Zeff has a swig of whisky is to prevent his hands from shaking while he does what needs to be done. The Live-action did Zeff & Sanji's backstory justice, even keeping the whole leg-eating thing which was cut-off in the anime adaptation. You can feel the bond between the two and Sanji's speech at the end was heart-rending.
I’m glad they’ve put extra work into writing script and bringing the story to our screens. Makes it feel more authentic. What you’ve said about fish kin grafts is very interesting. No wonder he needed alcohol to go through the procedure. The process itself was hard to look at. Poor Zoro!
Since nobody already said. The fish thing Zeff does on Zoro, is real. A Brazillian team of scientists successfuly proved using fishskin as bandage helps to heal wounds.
In our world, eating your own leg to survive is a very bad idea because your body wouldn’t react well to it. In One Piece, however, the characters are much sturdier and they might have methods to prevent the side effects.
@@ExpectoRidiculum Self-cannibalism isn't viable for survival. It leads to energy loss, high infection risk from wounds, and lacks the nutrients needed for long-term health. It does more harm than good, worsening the body’s overall condition.
No way there’s more to it 😢 he’s already been through a lot but I imagine him serving on a ship as a little kid has something to do with tragic backstory 🙂↕️
@@ExpectoRidiculum unfortunately all of his backstory as a kid isn’t revealed until 800 episodes into the anime but its literally beyond heartbreaking. You won’t have any regrets. ❤️
@SupSrsRAGER I’m currently on episode 4 ☺️ Making my way slowly due to full time work and trying to crack UA-cam at the same time 🙈🤣 I get what you mean though
Sanji saying goodbye to Zeff at the end totally got me
Garp is a Vice-Admiral not a Captain
It seems you didn't paid attention to what Mihawk said.
Zoro's white sword is called wado ichimonji (means straight line through the path of harmony) but Luffy of course didn't pronounce it right

I think this story will have a happy ending though 😊 or at least that’s what I wish for them 😁 Great characters.
The name of the sword is the Wado-Ichimonji. Luffy called it the "One-eyed Itchy Monkey" 😂
Zeff’s “Red Leg Style” of fighting which he passed on to “Black Leg” Sanji uses only kicks, keeping the hands safe & clean for cooking.
Wow, now that’s something! I don’t think they’ve mentioned it in the live action. Thank you ☺️
Coolest accent, HP username, prettiest eyes ever, genuine love for One Piece and great reactions... Yeah, I love this channel haha
I can’t stop smiling now 😊 I love that you got the HP reference too! 🫶🏻

Oh, I think I’ve seen the trailer for it. I need to give it a try

That’s amazing, thanks!
Zoro's sword is called Wado Ichimonji and not Wadda Itchy Monkey as Luffy says.
Yes, it’s funny how he remembers things though. Add to the comedy 😊

Yes, I’m aware of studies about cannibalism. Some people practice this though 😅 Eating your own body is even worse from medical point of view right?

Oops 😬
Luffy goes to find a doctor while Sanji is chopping carrots. A subtle foreshadowing.😊
16:15 remember this story that Nami is telling to Zoro. It'll become relevant... in season 4.
I’ll try to remember that ☺️
The writters cooked hard with that little nod
More like season 5
I thought the casting for Zeff was especially good.
All of us anime guys trying hard to hold back spoilers here but yeah this is only a taste of Sanji’s heartbreaking backstory
