idk why but im still not used to J***e's participation to crew like, i was hoping for it since day one (HES SUCH A STRAWHAT AT SOUL AHHHH) and i was so scared he wouldn't get outta whole cake island alive. life is good fr
Oda is a genius in storytelling, he show us how each crew member joined and their relative backstories (sad back stories too) This we feel more connected with each of them and grew more committed to his works.
It has been an absolute joy to watch you two react to a story that many of us have been in love with for 25+ years! Your astute observations and predictions have been nothing short of impressive, and your individual responses to the sad moments are just adorable. Haylee has a "Keep it together, girl" vibe that only rarely breaks, while Carissa goes "F*ck it, dis cry gonna be UGLY!" (Don't worry, you're both as beautiful as each other). This channel has become my favorite "new fan" reactors to this series by a long shot. Hope to see you for season 2 and the anime, it only gets better from here!
I'd like to recommend a channel that has been amazing with predictios and stuff, look up the drawk show - mom piece (wholesome and amazing)@@curtishammer748
By FAR the best reaction channel to this show. The hat makes this one especially legendary. This reaction series and the channel as a whole deserve WAYYYY more love
It sounds goofy when people tell reactors that they're doing the "best" reactions. Reactions aren't supposed to be performances.. And telling them things like that is partially why some of them actually perform "reactions" instead of giving real genuine reactions.
@@Gutslinger it's more about the reactors showing they care via remembering tiny details, mentioning them when making theories. Involving themselves into the stories and characters That's "better" than someone sitting quietly with a few laughs and giving a few thoughts at the end before ending the vid
they don't say it in the live action, but the reason Zeff and Sanji fight with their legs is because, as cheifs, they need to protect their hands to maintain their cooking skills.
To be fair, I only recall the story being very explicit about this during that one (disgusting) face-off with Wanze because of the way that battle goes.
I'm so glad for this show, seeing new people falling in love with the crew and the story we've loved for more than 20 years is wonderful. And the crying is pretty on point I've read it countless times over the years and I cry more every time I think, the live action didn't break the spell and that's just the biggest compliment I can give it
If you are able to only watch one season of the anime and hold off until season 2 of the live action comes out, then you are stronger than me because I blinked and now I am 500 episodes into the anime and completely obsessed. 😅 I can’t wait to see what they do with season 2. This might be the best live action rendition of an animated show I’ve seen ever. I would love watching the anime with you two, these videos have been the highlight of my day when they drop.
Completely agree, like this is how you are supposed to do a live-action rendition. Every company should look at this to see how to do it for their shows.
I think they'll Try to keep themselves in check... but fail. One Piece is like that, a pager turner/skip to nexter, until you realize what time it is and have to do stuff (like sleep!). Just a testament to how a great story Oda Sama unleashed, that affects Everyone!
It kinda saddens me that they didn't have room to put in Hachi the Octopus man, who was always sympathetic to Nami, and actually did help them out against Arlong, since he is a part of the story later.
@@entheosx4502 He actually is there, he's the Guy Fieri-lookin' dude Nami cheats at cards. Remains to be seen if his later role comes back if they make it a few more seasons.
@@xGoodOldSmurfehx Dude, Smoker is one of most famous Luffy's nemesis, if you watch any 3 minute teaser about anime OP here on youtube, he'll be presented. I didn't spoil anything, i said absolutely nothing about the plot.
As someone who knew nothing about One Piece a couple of months ago, I'm now nearly 500 episodes in, and it's a wild ride! Good luck trying to stop! Been a joy watching your reaction.
@@marimoyaroo I can't answer for them, but as someone who had the exact same experience (watched the LA, then started the anime and am in the early 500's), I think they're both FANTASTIC. The anime has literally changed me as a person, and I'm much happier for it. I think the live action does such an amazing job at an introduction to the world of one piece. Makes you want more, and boy howdy, the anime delivers.
Personally, I’ve read the manga since the anime has quite a bit of filler that the anime added in. But! The anime keeps the level of detail that the manga has that the LA adaptation had to cut out due to runtime and all that. While the LA show was an amazing adaptation it cannot compare to the level of detail in the manga or anime
@@marimoyaroo the anime is extremely tedious. There are good parts but they are few and far between. I personally liked the live action more than the anime
This is probably my favourite reaction to this show, honestly. This was so entertaining and Im honestly considering re-watching these reactions from the beginning lol. Regarding your question - I know you guys are ahead so I know it's possible youve made your decision already. But just a few thoughts if in case you haven't. The vibe of the anime is a little different from the show, still entertaining, still engaging, still wacky, zany, crazy...etc, just different. But the anime is far, far slower paced than the show. In the show, several plot points are dealt with in one episode, in the anime, one plot point is stretched out over several episodes. Full disclosure, one criticism this anime often gets is that it 'drags on' sometimes, up until the final fights of course, which are amazing. So IF you still consider watching/reacting to them, I strongly suggest reacting to like 3 or 4 episodes per video. In an episode if you cut out the opening song, the recap of the previous episode, the end song, the episode itself would come out to actually maybe 17 or 18 minutes Again, REALLY enjoyed this reaction, THANK YOU for making it so entertaining and I look forward to whatever you guys put out! Have a great weekend!
For me, the start of an arc is usally the most interesting part, and it's the final battles that drag. This shouldn't be the case, but Dores Rosa's finale was mind-numbing with all the repeated footage. That mochi guy from Whole Cake Island was a snooze-fest, too. At least now the battles have spectacular animation.
I started it after this show. I’m on 548 now. 😂kinda is embarrassing cause I’ve been hard binging. But oh my goodness. It’s so WORTH. Never thought I could love an anime or anything like this. I’ve never even watched one before. But wow. Every arc and episode even fillers I just love. It’s magical
Welcome to the crew, recruits! I am a long time fan who is caught up with the manga and has watched through the anime multiple times! There's a reason this series is so popular, and now more people than ever are discovering that. Good to have you aboard. And remember, your dreams are worth pursuing, no matter how ridiculous they sound.
Every new One Piece fans: Before watching: - No there are too many episodes! After watching: - Noo there are not enough episodes! The pain you fell after avoiding watching One Piece cuz it was "too long" only to realize that it was not long enough.
the live action cover 45 episodes of the anime, and you can watch the anime regardless of the blind reaction to the live action as the live action change a lot of the events so you'll enjoy it anyway... i can tell by the love to the world and characters you are gonna love the anime might be your number 1#
its going to progress way faster than the anime probably with a coherent marine-side plotline prepping the exposition for marineford to happen like season 4
yas!!! you're continuing to the anime!!! gods, so there's still something to wait for from you guys in the next weekssss! also, i just want to tell you that i've watched the live action twice and also saw a bunch of reactions on it, but goodness, i did cry and laugh with you here!!! (again!!! even though i thought i already knew it by this time) i really enjoyed joining you both on your one piece journey bcs you pay attention to the detail and you're both so invested, it's hard not get carried away with you. so since you're going to the anime, i just wanna say the live action is not a one-to-one adaptation. changes are made since the mediums have their own strengths and weaknesses. regarding your plan about stopping at what is covered on the live action, i'd say you can try that if by that time, you can stop yourself from watching the next episodes. personally, i don't think that's possible bcs it just gets better and the story will really make it hard for you to stop right before the crew enter the grandline. the anime episodes are shorter, about 20 mins each, i think. so maybe you can watch 2 or 3 at a time? though these are just my thoughts, and it will ultimately depend on what works for the two of you. hope you'll both have a good time, stay hydrated and see you on your next one piece release! 💙
Not watching the Chopper ark is going to be a hard challenge Especially because it's the first introduction to Zoan type fruit users (my personal favorite kind of fruit) although I'm afraid how chopper and and the other Zoans will look like, I have complete faith on the show crew to deliver something cool after this first season My only concern is how expensive will be the CGI for chopper, making him a puppet might make it cheaper but it also might look very strange, like I said, I have high hopes for them to make something cool, but I hope they don't have to cut chopper out because he's expensive to make
I've loved watching your reactions! I'm obsessed with the show too (haven't watched the anime yet, either), and I really enjoyed getting to relive my favourite moments with you! It also clicked during this video that the cast-off ceremony was the first time we heard Nami voice her dream like that because now she actually has the CHANCE to dream and now I'm crying all over again 😭 These characters deserve all our love!!
Trust me, you MAKE room in your heart for the rest of the crew, you really try hard to pick favorites but they all have such great stories and personalities that make each one of them unique and special!
Thank you for sharing your journey and emotions with us. I’m sure we laughed, cried, and felt every emotion along with you. It’s been a pleasure watching your beautiful reactions. This has to be my favorite reaction channel on One Piece. Please keep going and watch the Anime. We’ll be right there watching it with you both.
I highly recommend watching things like the bloopers, cast interviews, and more, as they are all often together and are so much fun! You'll fall in love all over again seeing them behind the camera. Oh, and also, the scene where they say their dreams, the part with their flashbacks wasn't part of the script. An editor just put it in and when the showrunner saw it he was so amazed he decided to keep it in.
I believe that the live action covers up until the end of the Arlong Park Arc which ends at episode 44. Be aware that the live action does cover some storylines (Garp) that don’t get developed until after this arc and done so in a different method
Honest to god! I’ve sadly seen like 10 other reactors watch this series in full. Yours was undoubtedly my favorite! I enjoyed it more with you than when I saw the actual show initially! Brava ladies! Brava
I must say its been a joy experiencing this with you. You have an immersive reaction I dont think there are many genuine excitement coming from first time watchers like you two. Keep up the good content! 🎉😊
One thing that makes this series so great is how it can make people smile no matter what media form it takes. The sincerity in your reactions can attest to that. Glad to see you two experiencing this world and having similar joy as so many others have. I look forward to seeing how you like the anime as well 😁
Honestly, I don’t think I have enjoyed a reaction to this series as much as I have with you two 😂 watching you guys literally felt like when I was watching one piece for the first time on tv in like 2003 😂 you guys really picked up on a lot of minor details & plot threads that I believed only anime watchers would catch. Can’t wait to return to this page for season 2! Which will cover some of my favourite episodes in the first portion of one piece ❤❤❤❤
A couple of other channels are watching the anime up till the live action stops as well, so you'll be in good company! As already mentioned, this season covers roughly the first 45 episodes. There are a few things they pull forward from later in the show, but it's that's just about the right spot. Glad you all have enjoyed and are joining the Strawhat Crew!
6:55 Yes, there is! The Archerfish can shoot a jet of water to dislodges an insect, causing it to fall into the water. They can accurately aim and spit water at prey up to 6 foot, which is pretty impressive hehe
This was such a fun journey to take with you guys! By far my favorite reaction to the series. You both matched the same joyful exuberance as Luffy in each of your videos. An absolute delight!
Because im watching the anime im not as sad about the first season being over, but what i am sad about being over is seeing your guys' reactions to One Piece and its world! Really refreshing to see reactors who are completely won over by this show. I think one of the biggest reasons why I still enjoy the anime is because I truly love the characters, and you feeling the same means you guys would love it too!
Just a perfect viewing experience ladies thank you for all the joy & happiness you both bring to your channel 🙏🙏 sending both all the good vibes and happiness for Christmas 🌻💖🌺🐝🤗🥂🎄
You 2 are the sweetest, most wholesome ladies I've ever seen! I absolutely LOVED watching your reactions to this series, and can't WAIT to see you get into the anime!
Loved this little journey with you two, your reactions made me tear up more than the actual show haha. Will see you again if you ever decide to start the anime :)
You guys are my favorite! Love the idea of you watching the first anime ‘arc’ on crunchyroll covering ‘season 1’ live action. Each live action episode is about 10 anime episodes so the anime is a lot more content. Take your time, it’s a marathon with that show, not a race, but whoa so worth every second if you love the world now… just wait ❤😊
25:31 I think that's why, Mihawk called Luffy by his full name on the episode 5. Probably Shanks used to talk about Luffy a long time ago and Mihawk remember Shanks's hat when they meet at the port.
In my headcanon, Mihawk really decided to spare him once seen Luffy's hat and recognized it as Shanks'. Shanks and Mihawk have a odd relationship which really is like Garp/Roger one: respect and some sort of frenemy bond going on. Once known that Luffy was in some way under Shanks protection, he decided to let it go and see what's happens. In the LA they summed it up with "I do love your hat". Clearly he recognized it.
You girls are amazing! Got me crying all over again, even having read the manga and watched the anime! (And the show like 10 times in reactions :P) I think the idea to watch the anime as far as the show has depicted is a good one! Anyways I'm going to go watch everything else you guys reacted to (that I've already seen), you get invested and are so genuine and fun, I can't help it!
If I discovered One Piece through the live action I would 100% have binged the entire anime in like a month lol. As someone past the 1000 episode threshold, can confirm this show is peak fiction. It's both wholesome and fun but also gut wrenching and emotional. I hope this live action gets more people into the fanbase.
As soon as I saw "Battle Axe" I knew for a fact we needed a season 2 of this live action like SOON! (which news is they are already on it) Well done to everybody who worked on this show! New fan of yours ladies, love your reactions!
i think it’s a genius idea to only watch the anime up to where the live action left off and blind reaction to season 2 when it comes out. i love these reactions and i can’t wait for yall to continue the story
I'm doing this too. New to One Piece. Loved the show. Was going to watch the anime but I didn't want to know what happens until the next season comes out
You guys will definitely have more room in your hearts for the new crew members. They are all super unique and interesting like the current crew. Can't wait for season 2!!
girls I watched all eight episodes with you reacting to it three times already now and I can’t stop. I love you guys so much. ❤ I really hope you start the anime so that I can watch it even more. Your reactions are so wholesome so genuine and I can tell you guys have a heart
Awesome reactions and awesome series!!! I remember a few months back when the channel was just starting out and am very happy to see it grow so quickly, well deserved!!! I also want to suggest a series to react to, which I guarantee you are 1. absolutely going to love 2. will become your favorite series (maybe of all time who knows). It's "Ted Lasso". Cheers!
Just found your channel while looking for reactions to Mihawke's introduction (finished the show last week) and immediately binged the entire reaction series. Such a great set of reactions!! Definitely subscribing to check out more of your stuff!
Really glad you enjoyed the show. Your reactions are so genuine and fun! For the anime: the Live action covers episodes 1 to 45. Obviously, they left some stuff out and changed things around though. Episodes 46 and 47 are about Buggy after he “lost” his body parts and got blown away (does not happen that way in the live action). The next arc (Loguetown) starts with episode 48 and will probably be the start of next season, as it was teased in the very last scene. The last scene with the barrel is at the end of episode 53. (Episodes 54 to 60 and the first half of 61 are anime only filler, so technically not canon). Have fun!
So glad you enjoyed it. It's so wholesome, and it does make you feel every emotion. Definitely watch the anime too. You'll love it. The first 45 episodes of the anime covers the live version 1st season.
I’m SO glad you guys will start watching the anime. Your reactions have been delightful so far, and I’m sure this world will pull you in even more! Good luck!
I found your reaction vids just tonight and watched the whole series reactions in one go lol All I can say is that I felt exactly the same as you guys during the show, and I totally agree that it hits like everything... story, acting, character development, settings, action, music, etc. At first I was just like "Oh okay, this is fun!" and then as the series progressed I found myself freaking crying almost every episode. I didn't expect it to have so much emotional depth. And the characters are just so well-done... I love them all. So hyped for season 2!
Writers like the One Piece writer/illustrator Eiichiro Oda are so rare and precious. It's like he knows and gets every single one of us. I think that's how Luffy steals our hearts like the future pirate king he is.😂
Nami's new tatoo is a Tangerine for her mom and a pinwill for Genzo (The leader of the village) Nami's sister gets her Tatoos after Nami to help her sister feel better after she is upset Alrong's forces her to get their gang tatoo on her arm. The anime has more time to explain this then the Live action show does.
I've been a One Piece fan for about 20 years now, and it's just something I cannot get enough of. And it's an absolute joy to see other people enjoy it too, whether it's the manga, the anime, or the live action. And this was certainly a pleasure to watch.
The anime is great, especially the fact that it had limited filler. Theres lists out there that tell you which episodes are filler to skip if you want. Lookin forward to watching through the anime with yall!
One Piece is soooo wholesome... That's probably the one reason why I watched One Piece up to chapter 1085. Netflix really managed to capture that really well. Love your reaction, I had a lot of fun watching you!
Hey giirls! You should definitely NOT skip this first season of the anime if you're gonna react. The live action adapted many many things, and much content was altered and/or left out. So the experience will be another, even if you watched the Live Action first and know the main plots for this first part of the adventure. I highly recommend not to skip it. It's WORTH IT, for real!
YESS!!!! you'll not be disappointed both The anime and the Live action are great!!! you''ll love them both This 8 episodes are equivalent to the first 45 episodes of the anime if i'm not mistaken.
Guys, they just announced they will be remaking ONE PIECE anime with WIT studio and Netflix….the studio which created season1-3 of AoT….you know what, right?lol
So some news dropped this weekend that might influence you , or not . WIT Studios , the ones that animated Attack on Titan Season 1 to 3 , are collaborating with Netflix to release a new anime remake of One Piece , at least for the East Blue Saga , the part covered in the Live Action . The way it's marketed it's likely to be closer to the manga , and shorter in episodes than the Original Anime series . i'd still advocate to watch the current anime , but it's yet another option (not set date for release yet)
I love to rewatch my favorite series, but sometimes you just got to watch it with other people watching it. That’s why I love reaction videos. it’s easy to catch up with a series. Also, it’s easy to catch up with the series if you can’t remember the previous season or episodes. 😂
Love y'all reactions. Also you'll love Garp even more later on. No spoilers but you're only seeing a fraction of how powerful characters get. Garp is in the top tier. Even old he only uses a small fraction of his fighting power.
I have been watching the Anime and also made that correlation that Luffy and Kobi are taking after Gol D. Roger and Garp. Although, I think.... just as Garp and Roger had gotten along well and agreed on neutral points and had paired up to fight a common enemy.... Kobi will eventually see what the Celestial Dragons are doing and if he follows his code, it might lead him back to Luffys side.
Thank you for this fun journey! 🩷Really loved and enjoyed watching you both react to this live-action adaptation!! I must say, you've become my favourite OPLA reactors!! 🫶 YOU GOTTA WATCH THE ANIME! If you've already loved them, I'm pretty sure you'll adore them in the anime even more! Also, I hope you react to Yu Yu Hakusho live-action, too! 🥹🫶
You survived! Lucky for you, excluded first 45~47 episodes that live action roughly covered, you got about 1040 episodes to enjoy😊 I finished LA 3 months ago and two weeks ago I finically caught up with current episodes👍🏻
I'm glad to see you guys enjoyed the One Piece Live Action. If you're really watching the anime after this, I'll be tuning in to see more of your reactions.
It would literally be a dream come true if y’all made the anime a series on this channel! One thing though, if you’re gonna do that then I would make each video cover 2-3 episodes of the anime (cause making 1100+) episodes of the series is gonna last a loooong time lol
I loved One Piece so much that the world felt empty without its preposterous wonder and underlying message, and I was compelled to immediately download the anime and binge it until I caught up with the regular weekly release! (that was a LOT of bingeing) And then I found out that Luffy shares my birthday, it's almost like the universe is telling me to chase my dreams! Careful, it's joyfully addictive being hopeful and carefree.
Beware!! If you watch the anime, you'll fall hard in love with it 😂 Also, I vote that you continue watching even after the episodes that covers S1. It's quite exciting afterwards. And besides, the live action is so different enough that you would enjoy watching both regardless. Other than that... doing a poll would help too if you're undecided if you wanna wait for S2 or continue the anime afterwards.
The rollercoaster of emotions you two went through was how i felt when i first watched it too! I genuinely enjoyed these reactions and were DEFINITELY what i always looked forward to each Friday. I think you girls SHOWED watch the Anime up to where Live Action ended!
I'm watching this for the 2nd time today because I LOVE your reactions. You are genuinely in love with these characters and I couldn't relate more. So happy you guys found One Piece
One Piece fans is eating good ... Season 2 of this were Confirmed .. NETFLIX Also collab with Oda and WIT STUDIO to REMAKING the old episodes into a new fresh animations
One piece has been my favorite work of fiction since i binged it during covid. Watch the anime, read the manga, cry and laugh and share it with as many people as you can.
The manga actually shows us that as much of a monster as Garp is, he has actually lost a step in his old age. He’s just still so far above almost everyone else that it doesn’t really matter.
@@RyuuToon When you place him amongst the truly strong, like Shanks, Rayleigh, Big Mom and Kaido and analyze it you see Rayleigh and Garp being stronger than Shanks, who was stronger than Kaido or Big Mom. This puts Garp into a class of his own. - which brings me back to Marineford when Garp was going to go kill Akainu for killing Ace. It wouldn't have been a contest, no amount of magma would have helped the Red Dog. It would have been just so much smear and blood splatter and somehow I think if the two crossed paths the same thing would happen.
One Piece only show where you can cry, laugh, and go awe. Thanks ladies for great genuine reactions keep it up. If you watch anime and meet more of the crew, you better save the tears and smiles because it just gets better, better!
It's wild how you got all the feels we all got in the anime. The live action just...worked. And it's beautiful to see. Enjoy the journey if you continue now or later, you two are such fantastic sisters to watch react to this. Take care of each other. Thank you! 😂🏴☠ We'll see you down the Grand Line someday!
I always love the difference of how the reactors started vs how it ended up bc they are always so happy and excited for the next season or even continue to watch the anime!
“I already love these 5 so much, I don’t know how I’ll have room in my heart for 5 more.” I won’t spoil anything but I’ll just say, as a huge fan of the anime I relate to this feeling a lot, and somehow my heart expanded. There are SO many more characters to love in this show.
This did so well that not only are they making a season 2 but are intending to make between 6 and 12 seasons entirely. The first season covers about 60 episodes in the anime... out of about 1000+. That is one of the main reasons this LA was so good. It didn't try to stretch itself too thin like it was a movie or something. The other important aspect was Oda himself. He created one piece and had a say in the whole process of this adaptation. Everything from actors to scenes he had control. So he was able to bring what people loved and adored about the manga/anime into this, and it really shows. I am glad you both enjoyed it and had a lovely reaction to it all. While I suggest the anime it might not be for you. It is hard to say since the anime treats things a little differently and is long. Either way all my best!
I would love to watch the whole thing over with you guys, we’re probably looking at 2 years or so before more live action comes out. The English dub is caught up to episode 1036.
Fun fact. The scene where they are telling each other their dreams and it flashes back to their childhood was NOT in the script. The editor added the flashbacks and the director loved it so much he told them to keep it in the show.
So the live action is up to episode 45. But I would recommend you to watch until ep. 61, where they enter the grand line. (I think there is around 7 filler episodes, which you can skip.) because that would otherwise feel like you stop in the middle of the arc. And with the grand line you would complete the introduction.
Wonderful video once again. I immensely enjoyed your reactions! Many reaction channels don't really add anything and just 'stare' at the video, or go 'ooooh' at an appropriate moment while having the emotive capacity of a jaded senior who has been around the block a few billion times, but you girls seemed to really lose yourself in the story, which is a joy to see! I definitely recommend checking out everything of the anime. Don't just pick up where the live action left off; there are enough changes made to the story you have seen, and you'd be surprised at some of them (assuming I and others haven't already explained such differences). The feelings hit a bit differently in some of them! Whether you'd keep watching after covering what the first season of the live action covers is completely up to you. Everyone enjoys One Piece at their own pace: it is a marathon of leisure, not a sprint of necessity and catching up. I don't think you can go wrong with it: the live action will without a doubt make a lot of changes to the story when it comes out. (Hell, the anime makes its own share of changes compared to the manga that is the original bible of the story!) One aspect you are presently unfamiliar with but might enjoy down the line is, assuming you keep watching, that you will be able to re-experience the story in a more polished manner when the live-action comes out. Thus, you won't only experience the story itself differently, but also be able to spot all sorts of little changes they make as they prepare for seasons 3 and beyond to integrate aspects of those arcs better. (To be clear: the manga/anime are plenty in-depth with their storytelling.. but for something that was written on a week-to-week schedule and similarly for the anime, there will be so many details that the author might have included earlier in the story for better continuity and worldbuilding... especially on an already shortened medium that is the live-action!) As a longtime fan, I was surprised to find I really enjoyed seeing what themes and bits of the story they picked up from future arcs and plot lines in this first season. It isn't quite a directors cut, because so much amazing story obviously got cut... but at the same time, there is so much attention to detail that you can tell a lot of people tried really hard to make the live-action work!
They don't even know what they're witnessing fr, the greatest anime all time , and the best anime - live action adaptation.😱 The world of one piece is legendary, story line is top tier, happy / positive show but still brings real emotion.😵💫 One Piece far surpasses the sales of Harry Potter, Batman, and superman.O.P. have broken all types of records. 🏆
I've never gotten into anime, but I watched this whole Live Action then immediately rewatched it all, and now I'm 120 episodes into the anime, I love seeing reactions to this show
"How will there be enough room in my heart for 5 more?"... Out of over 800 named characters, 90% of them are well loved by the fandom. Oda is a mastermind when it comes to creating great and memorable characters, intrecate storylines with insane worldbuilding, and touching upon every emotion and very deep topics.
"how am I suppose to have room in my heart for 5 more people?"
Lmao. Make space for at least 50.
50?? more like a 100
idk why but im still not used to J***e's participation to crew like, i was hoping for it since day one (HES SUCH A STRAWHAT AT SOUL AHHHH) and i was so scared he wouldn't get outta whole cake island alive. life is good fr
it's crazy how good the story and forcasting is from one piece.
The great thing about One Piece is that it makes your heart grow to fit everyone
Wait until you meet the ship's doctor.....
The Beginning: "What are we watching???"
The End: "WE LOVE THE CREW SO MUCH!😭😭😭"
Love it.
My 72 year old dad had the same reaction
And its just the start of the journey 😭
Oda is a genius in storytelling, he show us how each crew member joined and their relative backstories (sad back stories too)
This we feel more connected with each of them and grew more committed to his works.
It has been an absolute joy to watch you two react to a story that many of us have been in love with for 25+ years! Your astute observations and predictions have been nothing short of impressive, and your individual responses to the sad moments are just adorable. Many haha. I feel like most people here aren't even 25 years old.
By FAR the best reaction channel to this show. The hat makes this one especially legendary. This reaction series and the channel as a whole deserve WAYYYY more love
Big facts
You know a reaction channel is good when they procure the same headwear as the characters.
Involving themselves into the stories and characters

they don't say it in the live action, but the reason Zeff and Sanji fight with their legs is because, as cheifs, they need to protect their hands to maintain their cooking skills.
To be fair, I only recall the story being very explicit about this during that one (disgusting) face-off with Wanze because of the way that battle goes.

I don't think I've ever heard a better description of One Piece in so little words!
5:03 The word "Nezumi" translates to "rat" in Japanese. So the nefarious, double-crossing Marine captain is literally "Captain Rat". ;-)
I'm so glad for this show, seeing new people falling in love with the crew and the story we've loved for more than 20 years is wonderful. And the crying is pretty on point I've read it countless times over the years and I cry more every time I think, the live action didn't break the spell and that's just the biggest compliment I can give it
It’s hard to explain but when I see non One Piece fans become fans of One Piece I feel all tingly inside.

If you are able to only watch one season of the anime and hold off until season 2 of the live action comes out, then you are stronger than me because I blinked and now I am 500 episodes into the anime and completely obsessed. 😅
I can’t wait to see what they do with season 2.

How'd the anime shape up comparing to the live action??
Welcome aboard, Nakama!!
In an episode if you cut out the opening song, the recap of the previous episode, the end song, the episode itself would come out to actually maybe 17 or 18 minutes
Again, REALLY enjoyed this reaction, THANK YOU for making it so entertaining and I look forward to whatever you guys put out! Have a great weekend!
Highly recommend you watch the one piece anime that cuts the filler
@@tylamcgilverson3923 One Pace right? Ive heard of it. I think I will check it out honestly. Thank you for the reminder
One Pace is the version, prepared by fans, that cuts out the filler. Or just wait for the remake Netflix is preparing.
The Live Action covers roughly the first 40 or so episodes of the anime. Highly recommend watching the anime all the way!

Well, they already planning to cover the pre-time skip stories in 6 seasons at least. So, maybe you're right.
yas!!! you're continuing to the anime!!! gods, so there's still something to wait for from you guys in the next weekssss! also, i just want to tell you that i've watched the live action twice and also saw a bunch of reactions on it, but goodness, i did cry and laugh with you here!!! (again!!! even though i thought i already knew it by this time) i really enjoyed joining you both on your one piece journey bcs you pay attention to the detail and you're both so invested, it's hard not get carried away with you.
so since you're going to the anime, i just wanna say the live action is not a one-to-one adaptation. changes are made since the mediums have their own strengths and weaknesses. regarding your plan about stopping at what is covered on the live action, i'd say you can try that if by that time, you can stop yourself from watching the next episodes. personally, i don't think that's possible bcs it just gets better and the story will really make it hard for you to stop right before the crew enter the grandline. the anime episodes are shorter, about 20 mins each, i think. so maybe you can watch 2 or 3 at a time? though these are just my thoughts, and it will ultimately depend on what works for the two of you. hope you'll both have a good time, stay hydrated and see you on your next one piece release! 💙
Not watching the Chopper ark is going to be a hard challenge
Especially because it's the first introduction to Zoan type fruit users (my personal favorite kind of fruit) although I'm afraid how chopper and and the other Zoans will look like, I have complete faith on the show crew to deliver something cool after this first season
My only concern is how expensive will be the CGI for chopper, making him a puppet might make it cheaper but it also might look very strange, like I said, I have high hopes for them to make something cool, but I hope they don't have to cut chopper out because he's expensive to make
@@Lolistonthe budget they have for this show is insanely high. it’s probably even higher for season 2 because of how well it did

Oh, and also, the scene where they say their dreams, the part with their flashbacks wasn't part of the script. An editor just put it in and when the showrunner saw it he was so amazed he decided to keep it in.
Effing brilliant editor. For real.
I believe that the live action covers up until the end of the Arlong Park Arc which ends at episode 44. Be aware that the live action does cover some storylines (Garp) that don’t get developed until after this arc and done so in a different method
And Zoro is a little more goofy early on, and Sanji is not nearly as suave
And smoker is nearly non existent in the live action

25:31 I think that's why, Mihawk called Luffy by his full name on the episode 5. Probably Shanks used to talk about Luffy a long time ago and Mihawk remember Shanks's hat when they meet at the port.
He also Knew Luffy was Monkey D garp grand son .

Love y'all reactions. Also you'll love Garp even more later on. No spoilers but you're only seeing a fraction of how powerful characters get. Garp is in the top tier. Even old he only uses a small fraction of his fighting power.
Oh hell yeah! He is Gol D Roger's Marine rival after all, like Luffy and Koby!
I have been watching the Anime and also made that correlation that Luffy and Kobi are taking after Gol D. Roger and Garp.
Although, I think.... just as Garp and Roger had gotten along well and agreed on neutral points and had paired up to fight a common enemy....

And if you really enjoy it( which is definitely gonna happen)
You can watch some more.
The only thing they'd really spoil is the mysterious figure at the end
@@curtishammer748 hmm i know what you talking about but I’m not sure if they already tell us in the anime who he really is, except his name.
@@curtishammer748 i just checked. It’s in episode 314. until then his identity isn’t revealed
@@shiro7919 The one with 2 cigars? Edit: OH, You're talking about THAT guy who [SPOILERS]...
saves Luffy from the mysterious figure with 2 cigars
(Hell, the anime makes its own share of changes compared to the manga that is the original bible of the story!)
One aspect you are presently unfamiliar with but might enjoy down the line is, assuming you keep watching, that you will be able to re-experience the story in a more polished manner when the live-action comes out. Thus, you won't only experience the story itself differently, but also be able to spot all sorts of little changes they make as they prepare for seasons 3 and beyond to integrate aspects of those arcs better. (To be clear: the manga/anime are plenty in-depth with their storytelling.. but for something that was written on a week-to-week schedule and similarly for the anime, there will be so many details that the author might have included earlier in the story for better continuity and worldbuilding... especially on an already shortened medium that is the live-action!)
As a longtime fan, I was surprised to find I really enjoyed seeing what themes and bits of the story they picked up from future arcs and plot lines in this first season. It isn't quite a directors cut, because so much amazing story obviously got cut... but at the same time, there is so much attention to detail that you can tell a lot of people tried really hard to make the live-action work!
They don't even know what they're witnessing fr, the greatest anime all time , and the best anime - live action adaptation.😱
The world of one piece is legendary, story line is top tier, happy / positive show but still brings real emotion.😵💫
One Piece far surpasses the sales of Harry Potter, Batman, and superman.O.P. have broken all types of records. 🏆
Oh, I think they know exactly what they're witnessing. You can tell by all the laughter and tears.❤
I've never gotten into anime, but I watched this whole Live Action then immediately rewatched it all, and now I'm 120 episodes into the anime, I love seeing reactions to this show

Out of over 800 named characters, 90% of them are well loved by the fandom. Oda is a mastermind when it comes to creating great and memorable characters, intrecate storylines with insane worldbuilding, and touching upon every emotion and very deep topics.
