Wicked game is the same progression, but in Bm and not Am as demonstrated in this video. With this logic you would start singing wicked as soon as you hear any minor chord.
@@nikolajdam9556Not quite, it is the exact same chord inversion that „wicked game“ uses on the first minor chord she played, so there‘s more to it than it just being a minor chord.
So I love this progression. But what would you use to sort of sweep it up and move it into say a pre chorus? Would you just repeat these over and over and move it with the melody?
I hear it differently. The a minor is not ii the a minor is vi. and the G is iv and the D is 1 . The D sounds like the resting point, that makes it the tonic
@@Cammojo Hey Dylan, that’s what makes music wonderful it can be interpreted in different ways. The progression is Am G and D Practice some scales to understand better. eg. Key of G: G A B C D E F G 1 G maj 2 A min 3 B min 4 C maj 5 D maj 6 E min 7 F dim 8 G maj The minor chords in a major key are the 2nd, 3rd and 6th.

As soon as i heard the first chord i started singing "wicked game" lol.

Lmao keys are relative. By that logic if I play +2 cents from Am you got a new song

I do a similar chord progression that I love!
I do 2m(Am), 2m(add2)/1(Amadd2/G), 7dim(Gdim), 7b(F)
This reminds me of To Build a Home by Cinematic Orchestra

This is the sound of the dorian mode. A-Dorian so 1 minor, flat 7, 4..
I hear it differently. The a minor is not ii the a minor is vi. and the G is iv and the D is 1 . The D sounds like the resting point, that makes it the tonic
That honestly makes a lot of sense, good catch!
I agree the D definitely feels like a tonic but I believe it’s v iv I. I could be wrong though.

Nice chord progression and beautifully played, but it's not really a minor progression.
Are you Robyn?
I am a beginner. Can somebody help me? Whats the minor two?
I think in this case is Am. Cause she said the one was G, and five was D.
PS: i’m beginner too.
A minor II is the 2nd note in a scale as a minor chord---- in the key of C, a minor II would be D minor
