Cannot recommend Langcourt's highly enough, excellent service. I sent them my CS Performance Engines Tuned TS1 Barrel after my little end bearing exploded. Cylinder wall welded, exhaust stud holes welded, tapped and full replate. All in 8 days from me shipping to being returned, absolutely awesome service.
I can vouch for nicasil Rob - the Lilac Flash (remember him?!!) completed 100,00 km before just about dying (2a replacement piston and 3 or 4 sets of rings in that time)....the original Mk1 Mugello kit's still in the shed, and awaiting a trip to Lancourt's too, at some stage. Wellerchap
Wasn't that the chap that visited every football league ground in England? He used to have a Web page dedicated to it. it must've been 20 odd years ago ?
Looking forward to the filter video. I’ve messaged you with my choices on my TS-1. I did use a panel filter but now use the ProPorting filter elbow with a Casa Performance pancake filter on that. The ProPorting elbow gives the intake a much throatier roar. I use a Lambda probe in my SIP exhaust to check mixture as we don’t have dyno access in Finland.
What are the pimples on the piston for? Lancourts do excellent work, i've used them, always good. i have an open mouthed carb, i use a foam ring on the inside around the hole in the panel to stop muck going in, and the on the out side i,ve fitted something like a steel toe cap facing backwards (open to the back ) so i get cleaner air into the carb seems to work okay 4500 miles covered.
Supposed to give better lubrication during the break in/run in time. Seems Meteor are doing it on their new ones. My new SST piston (the black GP) was the same.
Meteor, who make the pistons say this-- " The name used by Meteor is ‘𝒐𝒊𝒍-𝒅𝒐𝒕𝒔’, and the design helps to retain oil, thus vastly improving lubrification. ⚙ The graphite material of the coating is also totally new. After extensive testing, 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒖𝒏𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈. "
Scott certainly enjoyed his visit Rob, looking forward for more mate 👍👍

We dont dynos here either but I have developed a 6th sense for air leaks and use head temp.
That looks great and what a cracking service 👍
Very happy! The people at Langcourt were over and above expected.
I use a redline pod filter on a TMX/Avanti
BRILLIANT THAT! 🤩❣️
Thanks again!
