- The Alder Creek Slide is a famous natural water slide in the heart of Sequoia National Forest. We also stumbled upon a lesser known, but equally impressive area known as the Dry Meadow Creek Tubs. To top it off, we hit the pristine, lush waterfall Nobe Young Creek Falls and finished the day at Dome Rock, overlooking the Sequoia Valley.

I don't remember exactly but you can find it on a Google search
Been camping here for years but has gone to hell… was out there this past week and practically all camping areas have been closed down indefinitely and water levels at a trickle due to a poor winter season.. shame
Oustading high five 👏👏 wow 😲 that 🦋 on that slide amazing 👍 don't take these elements is right 🤙 Wow so much beautiful Land Out there They Must and will not will share this one As well
A California classic!!
Yes OUR public land, thumbs up and subscription for that speech at the end. Total agree, protect our parks.
What a gorgeous pristine place!!Thanks for sharing and I agree one hundred percent with what you said at the end, it's important to speak out and make sure those beautiful landscapes are preserved for generations to come.
+HelpStay thank you
I don't think this forest area is a target, misinformation can cause unnecessary angst! Always check with the Department of the Interior and the Forest Services, before spreading unverified information.
I never said THIS area was a target Helen. I made a general statement about public lands in general. Thanks for watching.
Was just up there this weekend and I want to thank you for your vide...was a great help and encouragement to see these spots (been camping at Dome Rock several time, but was always just passing through...had not previously explored the area). Nobe Young Falls were indeed spectacular, the slide was FUN!!! Ran out of time and missed the cups. Also visited Peppermint Creek Falls...WOW!!! And thanks to you, I learned about Wishon...been looking for that spot for a few years and you identified it for me (I've been to the campground before but had no idea!!!). Heading up there NEXT weekend!! LOL!!
Thanks again Jesse!!
Glad you had fun!
This is a totally different side of Sequoia that I haven't seen before. Love those pools and slides. What an epic natural water park.
+Wandering Wagars Yeah it's awesome
God bless your ❤️, thank you for sharing your adventures. I can’t wait to explore these places with my family. I love nature and the outdoors and so do my children especially my 10 year old. She has such a beautiful connection with nature. Please post places that are kid friendly. Thank you 🙏
Great video! We’re heading there today and hopefully I can find all these spots! Yes it is our public land! Love your little talk at the end.
🙌🤙enjoy
Those water slides are impressive!!! Love the shot of a butterfly taking off in very slow motion. Amazing nature in the park. Sequoia Valley at the end looks fantastic. I would love to explore this park one day.
+All About Family Travel I recommend it highly
Certainly a beautiful part of the states. As someone who loves the great outdoors, this was a video I really enjoyed.
+Camping for Women Channel Great! Thanks.
This looked awesome. I often go hiking and camping with my boyfriend in the UK and we love finding our own hidden gems. You were really lucky to have the whole tea cup area to yourselves. I can't wait to go to the US and do some exploring there as well.
+Krix Enikő yes, hidden spots are the best. If I ever make it to the UK, you'll please have to share a few hidden spots for me ;)
Looks like it was a lot of fun!! I expected that to have hurt when you went down on your stomach but I guess not!?
it was great. I did scrape up my knees a little but it was worth it!
Those slides look like so much fun!
+The World & Us oh they were!
Going to take the kids camping there soon! Love this info. It's beautiful! Big thumbs up. 👍🏻
+Unapologetically Gomes Awesome, have a great time.
I haven't been to Sequoia yet. Did you scope out where you would land first before you slid? i like that shot with the butterfly! man, that looks so much fun sliding down the tea cups (is that what you said?.....ok, never mind, you said the tubs later in the video. )
+Look Who's Blogging yeah that pool was pretty deep. I kept calling them teacups mistakenly. Wish I'd shot the butterfly in 60p
Just found you're channel brother & i have to say this video is insane. Wow wth more could you possibly ask for in place it's over ghe top & im glad u actually enjoyed it like i would. Yah pictures, videos, are awesome but to freaking slide & jump off shit is straight savage brother. Ty for sharing im going to check out you're other one's right now.
+mark demelo thanks man!
How could we miss this when we've been to this National Forest? We've added it to our bucket list for next time!
+Travelling Dany Great!
That location where the pool swirled you around is called the "Tubs." I see you corrected that now on this video, but decided to leave this in. Been there at least twice every year for the past 20 years. I camped at the Slides and was fined $75 for camping on the "wrong side of the dirt road" at the Slides by Tulare County Sheriffs. Worth every dollar of it! Four days for $75. Down the mountain from the Slides about 8 miles is R Ranch. Great place to buy groceries, ice, beer and toilet paper. R Ranch has a pay phone that I used many a time to call in sick to work since cell phone reception is nada. On your way back to Kernville, stop at Johnny McNally's restaurant near Fairview and have the best steak you can buy. If you can eat their "Logger" (40 oz porterhouse) the meal is free. If you fear mosquitos and yellowjackets don't even go. Saturday is the day at the Slides for beautiful girls and guys trying to get the courage to attack the Slides. Pre-Covid19, the Slides were always packed on Saturday. Monday through Thursday you'll have the place to yourself. The water at the Slides is very cold and keeps beers chilly. It's absolutely beautiful. Those are the pros. The only con is many people (drunk and sober) lose their footing on that slick granite and take a fall. At least 2 people every Saturday crack their heads open requiring stitches. It's a long drive from the slides back to Kernville when you're bleeding. My best friend split open his eyebrow and had to have the vet stitch him since no people doctors were available. It is an adventure no matter how many times I go back there.
Heading there next week...do you access the "tubs" from the same place you hike down to access the tea cups? We are going mid week..so it should be nice n private
Mark Aguirre The parking lot for the Slides is the same one for the Tubs. Teacups in a totally different location. Slides are a 3/4 mile walk up the dirt road. Tubs are a 500 yard walk downhill from the parking lot. Be aware that the parking area has 3 levels.
Ah....got it. Thank you!
❤
Such a sick spot! I didn't even know that a place like this existed but now I really want to go. It just looks like such a fun time!
+Stray With Sar Yeah it was awesome!
Very cool find, Jesse! I definitely need to check all these places out since they're fairly close!
You have to go way up the Kern river to find this spot. If you want to have more time to explore this area I recommend staying at the Limestone Campground. It's not too far from there.
Just found your channel brother,
I appreciate your love for nature man and the amazing content. I will be there soon.
Welcome to the party! 🤙
Beautiful landscapes!
+Dennis yes!
wish he got to see all the falls in eastern sierra and northeast California before he left. I have a hefty list of waterfalls for jesse when he comes back.
Been there , so awesome and beautiful there thanks for sharing👍
So glad you had fun
This place is insane! It would make for an amazing day out that is for sure
+Meldrum's On The Move yes!
I bet it was very fun
It sure was
Nice, brings my family hope because we go every year and the park rangers said that this year the water is too cold and that the current is too crazy but u made them look wrong . So thanks for the feedback
+LB basball have a great time!
When I'm older, I'm going to travel to all these beautiful and amazing creations of God! :D
When I'm older, I'm going to travel to all these beautiful and amazing creations of NATURE.
That's amazing! I did that in Costa Rica last year!Wish I'd have got some footage though. Looks awesome!!
+La TrotaMundos what part of Costa Rica?
Those falls are so beautiful 😍
Looks so awesome! Is it deep? Is the water cold? Thanks ☺️
Yes and yes
"This is our public land!" I agree with you Jesse, commercializing nature is the result of selfishness and ignorance! They have to be stopped.
+kevin lu thanks bro!
🙌🙌
I just went to the natural water slides at Franconia falls in Lincoln New Hampshire yesterday it was awesome
🤙
that is crazy! but looks fun!

Hey Jesse! First off, love your videos man. Planning a west coast trip next year from Iowa and your videos are really helping plan a great trip.....so thanks! Where are the baby teacups at that you went to across from the Alder natural slide? I've been unsuccessful locating them. I'd like to try those instead of Seven Teacups since we won't have enough time to do that hike and cross the Kern. Thanks! - Josh
FunLoving_MaticsFam if you look at the satellite image on Google maps of the area, you can see the bowls next to the dirt parking area across from the entrance to the fire road to the Alder Creek slide
Anyone know How hard the Nobe Young Creek hike is? How long does it take? Is it worth it to make a trip there if I only have 2 full days in Sequoia or do you recommend something better?
Nobe Young Falls is pretty quick but a little steep. Less than 2 hours round trip. Probably won't see anyone else there
Must take kids. Awesome spot.
Tu Reina yes, for sure!
yes I saw this one too! excellent !!
Lit!!! Definitely on my list.
WILLIE PRICE nice, you'll love it
Was just out there this weekend. It’s very intimidating. How do you keep from slipping. It is an amazing site.
I recommend walking slowly and wearing shoes with Stealth Rubber soles
Are the tea cups on the same side as the slides or the side of the parking lot? Would I have to take the same trail for the slides? Thanks for the video!
The slide is across the street from the parking lot. The Tubs are on the same side as parking lot.
Jesse St Louis thank you!!
Jesse St Louis sorry to bother u again, one more thing how many miles is it? I want to take my mom and little brother 🙂
@@astrys1419 don't remember, sorry... but it was pretty flat and easy from what i recall
Jesse St Louis okay thank you for the information! Very helpful love your channel!
Awesome spot! wow, i am not that far from here... i might just do this one day. great job, the tea cups alone look so fun. you do trips like this weekly?
+SparkinHeart I try to do stuff like this as much as possible
oh man i got to find this slide looks super fun. New sub!
Sweet! Welcome to the party!
I'm going to sequoia tomorrow is there still water during these times?
Not sure but depending on where you go, probably
I'm thinking of this spot
❤️❤️❤️
🙌🤙
Where would we start to get to the Tubs? Do you know a trail head or campground we start at?
I give the exact location in the video
Those teacups , was it directly on the other side of the parking ? I’ve been to that slide last year , that slide was awesome , but those teacups , where exactly is it ? If you don’t mind. Thanks.
Yeah right next to the parking
Jesse St Louis thanks brotha. I’m heading out there in 10 days. There’s about 30 of us who go every year. I’ll record and post it. Thanks again.
Thanks so much man!!
Enjoy!
man that is so so cool!
You might like these other natural waterslides too

I'm with you brother. Question, from the natural slide, how do I get to the tub and the waterfall? Are they all next to each other?
The tubs are near parking for the slide. The waterfall is off another road past the 100 Giants trail.
There’s some cool water holes up in Kings Canyon north of Sequoia. You should check them out and do some vids.
I plan to, thanks!
Jesse, where are the teacups in comparsion to the slides?
Near the parking area across from the fire road that leads to the slide
Such a good video man I give you props and love nature man
+Cool Vibs thank you so much
Where exactly is that place? Thank you 🙏
Sequoia National Forest
@@JesseStLouis hello again, I need your advice, we want 2 getaway on July 25, any water falls or river open right now? Due 2 the Covid lot of parks may be closed. Any ideas? I really appreciate. Thank you very much.
No idea, sorry. I'm in New Zealand right now.
Who do you travel with?
My wife
Good going man I have you subbed 👌
+Ranscan KNRT thanks
were there camping grounds nearby?
Yes
What time of year was this?
July
Do u have to camp there?
No but it's the closest accommodation
Cool, how far its (hrs of hiking)?
And how d0 we get there(adress)? Looks pretty amazing.
Jesse I am not into jumping or diving. I am into wading in creeks from way back. My Stepgrandmother lived in Siloam Springs Arkansas and she had Saeger Creek in her backyard.
Something about being knee deep in a creek that just feels so right
5:30-love the chem free skies!!
What area is this? I’m going to Shaver Lake next week.
further south from there by at least an hour
Try eucalyptus oil, buggies hate it .
🤙
This water is super cold. Way colder than that off coffee camp and the slides.
thizzle91 cold water is cool
If you ever hit the 198 again, you can get off a wishon rd. There is a 20 foot natural water slide with the best blue water I’ve ever seen.
It's on my list for sure, thanks!
Wanna go there!
not baby tea cups-its called "the tubs" been going there since 1975
Ive been to these slides many times... I'm surprised there arent alot of people there, like usual. Water is freezing, isnt it ? haha.
We were there early in the morning before the crowds. Yeah cold, but the adrenaline warms you up a little.
You weren't concerned that the slide might've cut you up? Is it safer with a shirt?
It's pretty smooth. I scraped my knees a little but no biggie.
There used to be a Zipline
The water is not too cold like the park rangers say?
+LB basball I didn't think it was too cold. The day we were there the air temp was 105F, so the cold water felt good.
you're like a dolphin man
🤣
These are the ones that I meant.
Should be ok but can be pretty slippery so definitely need to be careful
@@JesseStLouis thanks!! 👍
There are leash laws for a reason.
They don’t drill there…
Not yet
Stop telling the world
They poop in the water and do graffiti, and crowd the area, play loud music, let their dogs destroy the entire area.
Many die, to tje point where this is the most dangerous national park in the nation.
And don't get pesticides in the water, ffs.
I don't believe this National Forest and National Forest Services first before spreading unnecessary information and angst! The Oil drilling is in the upper States in the Dakotas and part the Southwestern Utah area that was not supposed to be made into a national monument, which infringed upon the Native American and Private Ranch Lands of which included, I think, south eastern Nevada. There are different views and opinions however, by the landowners and Indians.
I never said THIS area was a target Helen. I made a general statement about public lands in general. Thanks for watching.
This looked awesome. I often go hiking and camping with my boyfriend in the UK and we love finding our own hidden gems. You were really lucky to have the whole tea cup area to yourselves. I can't wait to go to the US and do some exploring there as well.
